Master of his heart (Max and Brielle)

Chapter 1438

Max was kicking back in his office at the newly relocated DreamTech Designs headquarters in Beaconsfield. This building used to house Dorsey International before it got bought out and now served as the bustling hub for DreamTech's top brass. The conference room was unusually quiet, with everyone waiting for Max to say something. But there he was, casually scrolling through his phone, seemingly unfazed by their anticipation.

Patrick stood just behind him, noticing Max was caught up in a chat with Tiffanie. Given that Tiffanie was seeing a therapist and was emotionally fragile, Patrick wasn't surprised. Ignoring her could be devastating, and despite Max's replies being short and seemingly indifferent, the fact that he was replying amidst a room full of waiting execs told a different story. He wasn't indifferent; he just wasn't great at small talk.

Once he was sure Tiffanie wouldn't text again soon, Max finally set his phone aside. "Let's get back to the report," he said.

The execs let out a collective breath of relief, having mistaken Max's serious look for annoyance or the calm before a storm. With the meeting back on track, the atmosphere lightened considerably.

Mason had promised Tiffanie a trip to see the Northern Lights, and she was buzzing with excitement. Before they left, Mason felt the need to thank Max. Over the years, Max's subtle support had been a lifeline for Tiffanie, helping her hold on.

Even though Mason couldn't go

back in time to save Tiffanie himself,

Max had been her steady anchor. His care was understated but unwavering. Through her chats with Max, Tiffanie gradually remembered how she used to reach out for help in her own quiet ways-asking for financial aid when she was broke, and Max, without a second thought, would hand over his credit card, making sure she never had to stoop to survive.

Max's credit cards had become Tiffanie's refuge during her toughest times, letting her find a sense of purpose by supporting models and celebs. Despite Max's own

reservations and everyone knowing he wasn't a Dorsey by blood, he never hesitated to help Tiffanie. His financial support, though

materialistic, was a form of care she desperately needed.

She held on until she met Mason, giving her yet another reason to live.

As they boarded the plane to Iceland, Tiffanie was captivated by the clouds outside her window, a view she often ignored despite her frequent flights. Now, every fluffy cloud seemed charming.

Mason sat beside her, holding her hand tightly. The biting cold of Iceland's sub-zero temperatures might have been daunting, but with Mason's careful planning, Tiffanie didn't have a care in the world.

Bundled up like a penguin, she

waddled out of the hotel and promptly fell into the snow. Mason rushed to help her but ended up

tumbling in too. As they picked net

themselves up, covered in snow with snowflakes on their eyebrows, they couldn't help but burst into laughter.
