Chapter 1160
Isaac was on edge until the sound of a helicopter buzzing above shattered the silence, landing in a nearby clearing. When he saw who was stepping out, his guard dropped instantly. He patted Noir on the head and sprinted towards King. King pulled him into a tight hug, patting his back. "Got a bit scared, did ya?"
"Dad, Brielle... she's been taken."
A flash of fury crossed King's eyes. "I know."
Isaac clung to his neck, clearly uncomfortable with strangers. Then, his gaze shifted to a man with striking peach blossom eyes standing next to his dad, who was looking at him with surprise.
Dustin had never really dealt with kids. His sister had been lost to the world when she was very young, and he never got to enjoy being a big brother. Especially since this kid was his niece. Dustin's eyes brightened as he scooped Isaac into his arms. Isaac, still clinging to King, was visibly uneasy with Dustin. Ignoring the boy's resistance, Dustin used his strength to hold Isaac close. "He's the spitting image, isn't he? Those genes are something else."
"Such good looks, and how come his skin's so fair, his eyelashes so long?"
"King, you've hit the jackpot."
"Why don't I have kids? Holding him feels even better than a woman."
Flirtatious and unrestrained. Isaac struggled in Dustin's hold, his lips pressed tightly together. But King had no time to waste; he needed to save Brielle.
"We're taking the helicopter. With so many families tied together by interests, and the royal family hesitant to make a move, it's the perfect time to strut right under their noses and wipe out that base."
Dustin agreed, and with Isaac in tow, the trio boarded the helicopter. Back at the castle, it was bustling with people. Six royals, princes, and princesses, all blonde and blue-eyed, were tied up with gags in their mouths, staring at King and Dustin with fear in their eyes. Dustin walked up to one of them. "Prince Arthur, fancy seeing you here."
Prince Arthur glared at Dustin, muffled by the gag. They never thought they'd be kidnapped before dawn, especially not from their homes. These six were prominent members of the royal family, their presence meant the royals couldn't act rashly.
Dustin chuckled, sitting down. "Can't blame me for kidnapping you. After all, your royal family wanted to use the Lynch family as cannon fodder. Such grand schemes."
Arthur, unable to speak because of
the gag, struggled briefly before giving up, his eyes signaling Dustin for a talk Dustin and this Prince Arthur were close, practically best friends. The Lynch family had poured so much money into North America, feeling used didn't sit well with them.
Dustin looked away, his patience wearing thin. The royals had the audacity to come to them, yet showed no sign of resistance. This incident would weaken the royal supporters, and even after releasing these royals, the family wouldn't dare touch the Lynch family. After all, the Lynch family and the Saudi oil magnates were on the same side. Stirring up international controversy would benefit no one.
Prince Arthur, seeing Dustin's indifference, knew the Lynch family was truly angered. He lowered his eyes, resigning to silence.
If King hadn't captured these royal
members, they wouldn't dare attack the organization's base for fear of being caught in a trap. But with these royals in hand, the royal family could only watch from the sidelines. Even if the organization had generated vast wealth for them, losing six members, especially Prince Arthur, a recognized heir often in international news, would tip global opinion towards North America. The North American government couldn't afford the fallout.
This was their chance to destroy the base. King ordered everyone to get ready, then went to check on the woman they had rescued.
