Master of his heart (Max and Brielle)

Chapter 1089

She wasn't entirely sure if she liked Dustin or not. That night, she could've said no, but Dustin's words made her hesitate just long enough for him to get what he wanted. Looking back, she wondered if Dustin had lied to her. Men would say anything to get a woman into bed. It was her naivety, believing his sweet talk.

The girl who had been crying earlier went inside the clinic, and the nurse continued to comfort her, "It'll be over quickly, and there's no need for a D&C, so it won't hurt." Emma felt a chill run through her body. Her mind was a complete blank, unsure of what to think. It felt like an eternity before the nurse called her name. Emma stood up, her legs numb, almost stumbling to the side. The nurse helped her, realizing she was there alone, another woman deceived by love. With a sigh, the nurse said, "You've got to take care of yourself, dear. Our bodies are different, and it's important to use protection when you need to."

Emma trembled, stepping back. But then her mother's words echoed in her head, making it hard to breathe. Getting rid of the baby would allow her to start anew in town. Her mother had struggled her whole life worrying about Emma getting married. Clutching her fists, she followed the nurse inside.

"Take off your pants," the doctor instructed, holding a device and pointing to the bed. "And lie down."

Emma, pale with fear, stepped back, holding onto the door frame. The doctor, seeing her hesitation, frowned. "Don't hold up the others."

With her face a mix of red and white, Emma slowly approached the bed.

Meanwhile, across the ocean in North America.

Dustin had a restless night, partly from digging into the butler's background and uncovering the extensive network behind him. Even though he had removed their spies from the Lynch family, he wasn't sure if other North American families were involved and needed further investigation.

The other reason for his unrest was something King had told him about a female doctor saving him, which puzzled Dustin since he had assumed Max was the one who had helped him.

As Dustin massaged his temples, there was a knock on the door. It was his ex, a famous model, trying to worm her way back into his good graces.

Sighing, Dustin opened the door to find her throwing herself at him like a butterfly.

"You've been so busy, make sure you eat well. I'd hate to see you go hungry," she purred.

Dustin, tall and dressed in a thin white shirt with the top buttons casually undone, had a cold, pale complexion that contrasted with his charming eyes, which alone could

mesmerize anyone.

He had been too busy for dalliances and wasn't one to rekindle old flames. But the woman, not taking no for an answer, straddled him on the couch.

"Now that your sister is found, you don't have to run around anymore. The media mentioned your true love, but that must have been your sister hidden away. Since there's no lover, could you consider taking me back? I'll quit modeling and be the perfect housewife," she offered.

Dustin looked at her face, his hand moving up her waist as he smiled slightly. "The perfect housewife?"

Despite not being Australian, she had learned fluent Mandarin for Dustin, even mastering phrases like "the perfect housewife."

"I even learned to cook, though I'm not as good as you. Look, I even got blisters from cooking," she said, showing her pampered hands with two blisters. Dustin examined her hand, kissing the injured fingers gently, "Does it hurt now?"

Her cheeks flushed, her body tingling. "No, not anymore."

"Then you should head back, look at you, with dark circles under your eyes. Haven't been resting well?" he asked, concern lacing his voice.

Startled to hear about the dark

circles, she quickly got off him,

covering her face. "Don't look at met It must be from the magazine shoot. I even went for a cosmetic

treatment before seeing youver?
