Audrey nodded. “You too.”
David got out of the car to help Audrey take out her suitcase from the trunk. “Let me help you take this up, Miss Griffin.”
“No, there’s no need. I don’t have many things in there. It’s really light.”
David didn’t insist. He just nodded his head politely. “Goodbye, Miss Griffin.”
After getting back into the car, David waited for Tyler to give the word before starting the car and leaving.
Audrey headed upstairs and looked at the passcode Gary had sent her.
When she opened the door and walked inside, she was shocked by what was in front of her.
She couldn’t believe a house with such facilities and decoration was just a dorm.
Was she seeing things, or did she arrive at the wrong place?
Audrey was in a daze for a while before coming back to her senses and making a call.
The call was soon answered. “What is it, Audrey?”
“Mr. Greenwood, are you sure you’ve given me the right address?”
“What’s wrong? Can you not find the place?” asked Gary. “Do you want me to come over and take you there?”
“I’ve found the place, but from the looks of this place… I don’t dare move in,” said Audrey.
Gary realized what was going on and smiled. “Don’t worry. You can move in. The rent of the previous dorm has expired, and I haven’t had time to renew the contract. This is a house that I’ve bought myself, Now that I’ve moved into a bigger house with my wife, this house was left empty. If you feel it’s a little inappropriate, how about I deduct some rent from your wage?”
In the end, he would be the one who made the decision as to whether to deduct the rent or not anyway.
After hearing those words, Audrey nodded. “No problem. You can deduct the rent directly from my wages,
After hanging up, Audrey looked at the facilities of the house. She felt like she had won

a prize.
After all, in such an expensive place in the city, most people wouldn’t even be able to afford to rent a house, let alone buy one.
After looking around, Audrey liked the place even more. No matter if it was the style or the settings. She even liked all the furniture. They were all her favorites.
Since the housing problem was solved, Audrey suddenly didn’t feel so empty deep down.
She had a place to live in a city as big as Willowdale.
During the years in the Griffin family, she had everything she wanted, but she had never been as comfortable as now.
In a private room on the third floor of Dreamwood.
Tyler remained silent ever since he arrived. Christopher went and sat down beside him with a glass of wine in his hand. He then passed the wine glass in his hand over to Tyler. “You call me over to have a drink, and you’re just going to let me watch you pretend to be all depressed?”
“Didn’t you say that she hadn’t been together with anyone?” Tyler took the wine glass. from Christopher and asked.
When Christopher heard those words, he immediately realized what was going on. “What? Had Audrey been together with someone? Who is it? Who’s so capable as to take Miss Griffin’s heart?”
As soon as Christopher said those words, he received a menacing glare from Tyler.
Christopher coughed lightly. “For the years that you’ve been away, I’ve been keeping an eye on Audrey. Her group of friends hadn’t changed after you were gone. When the Griffin family was in trouble, all her friends avoided her like she was some plague. After that, she had always been alone. Why would I lie to you?”
Tyler downed the wine in the glass in one gulp. Then who’s Joshua Simmons?”
“Who? Joshua Simmons?” Christopher couldn’t help but raise his voice.
Tyler told Christopher about him and Audrey bumping into Joshua.
After hearing what Tyler said, Christopher shook his head. “I’ve never heard of him, and I’ve never seen Audrey have any friends I don’t know about.”
“She had been quite enthusiastic towards him and took the initiative to walk over to him as well”

Tyler’s words sounded like he was jealous in Christopher’s ears.
“What about his attitude towards Audrey?”
“He likes her.”
Christopher cocked his brows. “Does Audrey like him as well?”
Tyler’s voice immediately turned cold. “If she can’t see properly, then I don’t mind taking her to an eye surgery.
“I can’t believe you…” Christopher laughed.
He then suddenly changed the subject. “How about you be a little more straightforward? If you play the long game and catch the big fish, your fish might be already taken away from you by the time you’re ready.”
“No! She’ll run away from me,” said Tyler.
“If she runs, then you can go after her!” said Christopher.
The conversation between the two of them ended there.
Tyler lit a cigarette and stood up. “I’m going now.”
“You’re going already?” Christopher raised his head and looked at Tyler. “How about I give you some ideas?”
“There’s no need. No one knows her better than I do.”
Christopher was rendered speechless.
Audrey was woken up in the morning by a bombardment of calls.
She reached out for her phone and looked at the screen through her squinted eyes. When she saw the calling ID, she became awake instantly.
She quickly answered the call. “Dr. Parker?”
“Audrey, you need to come to the hospital.” Ethan’s voice was serious. “You’d better come right now.”
Audrey quickly got out of bed. “Okay. I’m on my way now.”
Before hanging up the call, Audrey asked, “Dr. Parker, is my grandmother alright?”
“She’s fine. We’ll talk about the rest when you arrive.”
“Okay,” said Audrey.

Chapter 20
After hanging up, Audrey quickly washed up, got changed, and headed towards the hospital.
On her way to the hospital, Audrey texted Gary and asked for half a day off.
After arriving at the hospital, Audrey headed straight to the ward but didn’t see Barbara.
Audrey’s heart skipped a beat. She then went to Ethan’s office.
“Dr. Parker…
“You’re here. Take a seat first.” Ethan had a serious expression on his face.
Audrey asked, desperate as she sat down, “Where’s my grandmother? Why isn’t she in her ward?”
“She was forced to transfer to another hospital.” Ethan passed a transfer application form to Audrey. “Your parents signed it.”
Audrey reached out, took the form, and looked at it. There were Joseph and Emma’s signatures on it.
There was also the hospital’s stamp.
“Why weren’t I notified?” Audrey gave Ethan a confused look.
“Your parents were present, so you weren’t needed. Besides, the patient agreed as well.” After a short pause, Ethan said, “But my suggestion was against the transfer of hospitals. Mrs. Griffin’s condition might not look critical at the moment, but the hospital she was transferring to doesn’t have a good reputation. The drugs they use aren’t as advanced as us either.”
Ethan told the pros and cons of the new hospital to Audrey. “You can head back and try to convince your parents.”
When Audrey heard those words, she nodded. “I understand. Thank you, Dr. Parker”
Ethan saw the attitude of the Griffin family members, and he quite pitied Audrey. “As a doctor, I don’t want anything to happen to my patients.”
Audrey thanked Ethan and then walked out of the hospital to take a taxi back to the Griffin family’s house.
When she arrived, she saw Joseph and Emma coming out from inside the house. It seemed that they were going out.
When they saw Audrey/they were a little stunned.

Emma looked at Audrey in disgust. “What are you doing back here?”
“Why didn’t you transfer Grandma to another hospital?” asked Audrey.

Joseph scolded, “Watch your attitude! We’re doing this for her own good. Do you think the drugs are good for her? All drugs are poisonous!”
