Married at First Sight

Chapter 2102

After a moment of silence, Elisa asked, “Are we really not able to find any evidence at all?”
“That’s the case for now. Maybe it’s because of the short time. We might be able to find something if we take it slow, but there’s
not much hope. After all, decades have passed. Even if there were some loopholes, they would’ve been eliminated and their
traces wiped clean. Maybe everyone who knew something was dead.”
Elisa kept quiet.
Audrey told her daughter, “You don’t have to worry about this, Elisa. I have time. I’ll search for evidence slowly. It can surely be
found one day as long as the current matriarch did commit the crime.”
“Mrs. Stone, I can let my brother know about this and request help from my sister-in-law’s brothers to investigate this matter. We
can ask for Mr. Zimmer’s help too.”
Hudson Zimmer was the Houston family’s son-in-law. The Houston family had the same capabilities as the Buchams.
“I’ll let you all know when I need your help.”
There was strength in numbers.
Professional work should be handed over to the professionals.
“I’ll call my brother to inform him later.”
Remy felt it was a chance to prove himself.
Helping his future mother-in-law investigate her parents’ cause of death could improve her impression of him and win him
brownie points. That way, he would be able to get his woman.
At that moment, the butler walked over. He glanced at Elisa before telling Audrey, “Mr. Julian is here, Mrs. Stone. He brought a
bouquet, jewelry, and other gifts for Ms. Elisa again. He came alone.”
Everyone was speechless.
Since Julian started “pursuing” Elisa, he started showing up everywhere.
Although he did not appear in person, the presents he sent would always hit Remy’s nerves. Elisa did not know what to do.

As a result, Remy started spending less time on work and used more of it to cling to Elisa. He feared Elisa would be snatched by
Julian the moment he took his eyes off her.
He had gone to look for Julian privately to ask what Elisa was to him.
Julian simply told him to focus on being with Elisa and that he did not need to care about anything else.
Due to Julian’s identity, Remy was not able to get any information about something Julian did not want to share. He had no
choice but to return angrily.
“Should I let Mr. Julian in, Mrs. Stone?” the butler asked Mrs. Stone.
She was still the decision-maker of the family, so the butler asked for her opinion.
After glancing at her daughter, Audrey said, “Invite him in. We might require his help one day, so we shouldn’t shut him out.”
She considered herself smart and had lived half her life. However, she still could not figure out why Julian would “pursue” her
daughter.
He clearly did not seem to be in love with Elisa, but everything he did was to court her.
He would send a bouquet every day. It could sometimes be three bouquets in a day or a bouquet paired with other gifts on some
days.
For instance, there would be branded bags, branded clothes, skincare, makeup, and more. Julian was generous with money.
The gifts he sent to Elisa were expensive and in large quantities.
If it were any other women, they would probably have fallen for Julian after being showered with gifts like that for some time.
