Chapter 2091
Lucas walked over and tried to touch the flowers.
Hank quickly said, “Don’t touch them, Lucas. This bouquet was given to me by Sonny.”
“Uncle Hank, the flowers are pretty. I want one too. Please give me one.”
Hank could not bear to do so. He placed the bouquet on his other side to prevent his nephew from plucking the flowers.
“The bouquet won’t look pretty if you pluck the flowers, Lucas. Chelsea, rinse a few apples for Liberty, Mr. Lewis, and Sonny.”
Lucas stopped insisting on the flower once he heard there were apples.
Next, he eyed Sonny’s clothes and touched and tugged at them. He asked Sonny, “Sonny, did Aunt Liberty buy you these new
clothes? They look good. I want new clothes too.”
Lucas turned to Liberty and said, “Aunt Liberty, I want new clothes that look like Sonny’s. Buy me a few sets of them.”
In the past, he would have a set of everything Aunt Liberty bought for Sonny.
If she did not buy it for him, his mom and grandma would scold her.
Since then, Aunt Liberty would always buy some new clothes for him whenever she got clothes for Sonny too.
Lucas was young and only a year older than Sonny. However, having a mom like Chelsea had developed his habit of taking
advantage of others.
“Call me Liberty, Lucas. I’m not your uncle’s wife anymore. If you want to wear new clothes, you can get your mom to buy them
for you.”
Liberty was no longer his aunt for over a year, but she would not be petty toward a child. However, she would also not treat him
as she did in the past.
Lucas could have his mom buy whatever he wanted.
Liberty would never buy anything for Lucas anymore. Chelsea was like a vampire. She had been trying to get Liberty and Hank
to remarry because she wanted to latch on to Liberty and suck her money dry again.
Liberty used to be a housewife without income. She got by her days on the allowance Hank gave her and some money her sister
would give her monthly. Chelsea still sucked her dry back then, let alone now that she had two stores and a stable income.
If Liberty continued buying Lucas another set of what she got Sonny like in the past, Chelsea would find excuses to take
advantage of her through the child.
“You buy it for me. My mom doesn’t have money. You do. You should buy it for me. I want the same clothes Sonny’s wearing.”
Lucas unleashed his wild and unreasonable personality. He demanded Liberty buy him new clothes.
His dad’s expression was awful. He sternly ordered his eldest son and daughter, “Take Lucas out to play.”
It was embarrassing.
Did Lucas not have clothes?
He started pestering Liberty to get him new clothes like a shallow person once he saw Sonny had a set of better-looking clothes.
Lucas was soon forcefully carried out of the ward by his elder siblings.
Chelsea did not see the three children after returning, but she did not ask any questions. She had overheard Lucas’s words
when she was inside washing the apples.
She did not say a word.
She simply allowed her son to make a fuss. Lucas was but a four-year-old. What could he possibly know?
Would Liberty possibly fight with a four-year-old kid?
Nevertheless, Lucas’s actions made the Brown family members look sheepish.
“Take a seat, Liberty, Mr. Lewis.”
Hank invited them to sit. He was utterly ashamed.
It was due to their family spoiling Lucas too much that caused him to demand clothes from Liberty.
“I’m already sitting down.”
