Chapter Making 577

Chapter 577

“Crimson, White, and all the sect masters pay our respects to Mr Reed Crimson and his companions snapped back to reality and immediately bowed to Gilmore in the void, showing their respect.

Gilmore and his group approached…

Crimson and the others could see that the circular halo, several feet wide, was in fact a white energy flow.

This white energy flowed on the surface of the halo, creating an energy shield.

Inside this energy shield, Gilmore, Leland, Darius, and the others stood as if on level ground, completely at ease.

Even Christine, Yolanda, and Daphne, who all knew nothing about martial arts, were able to stand weightlessly within this energy shield

Of course, Gilmore created this energy shield by channeling his anima.

His purpose in channeling his anima was not only to allow the three women to fly through the sinkhole without martial arts but also to protect everyone around him.

After all, hundreds of grandmasters and martialists from various sects had been swept away and killed by the scorching storm within the sinkhole.

Gilmore wanted to ensure the safety of those around him.

Seeing Gilmore using his anima to create the energy shield and protect Leland, Darius, Emma, and the others as they floated in the void above the sinkhole, Crimson and his companions were greatly surprised.

That was because even with their Martial King power, they couldn’t possibly channel their energy to create such a large energy shield capable of carrying a dozen people.

Gilmore’s power was truly extraordinary.

This left Crimson and the others almost certain that Gilmore’s power had reached the level of a Martial God.

Gilmore, inside the energy shield, appeared relaxed and looked at Crimson and the other sect masters. He asked. “Gentlemen, what happened?

“Looks like you guys got hurt, huh?”

After Gilmore’s comment, Crimson and the others began to size each other up.

They were all embarrassed when they realized that they all looked disheveled and messy.

They were at a loss for how to respond to his question.

“Mr. Reed, we… we’ve encountered some difficulties, Crimson stammered for a while before saying finally.

Concern appeared on Gilmore’s face as he asked, “Mr. Sunglow, what kind of difficulties have you encountered?”

Crimson realized that it was no longer possible to keep the search for the Dragonspire Ruins a secret from Gilmore at this point.

So he replied, “Mr. Reed, we’d like to apologize to you here.”

“Apologize?” Gilmore inquired.

Crimson nodded and continued, “Yes, we want to apologize, Mr. Reed.

“I won’t hide the truth from you anymore. The reason we came to this sinkhole is to search for the Dragonspire Ruins.

“Originally, we had planned to wait until we found the Dragonspire Ruins before asking you to join us in arranging the next steps, Mr. Reed.

“But we underestimated the dangers of the ruins.

“According to the Dragonspire Ruins Map, we believed that this sinkhole was the necessary route to reach it, so we entered the sinkhole.

“However, we couldn’t have imagined that the sinkhole would crupt with scorching storms, resulting in the loss of hundreds of martialists from various sects.

“And the power of this light are below is terrifying. We initially thought we could pass through it to continue our search for the Dragonspire Ruins, but we lacked the strength to do so.

Instead, we were thrown back by the light arc’s incredible force, and our lives were at risk.”

With a look of guilt and remorse, he looked at Gilmore and went on, “This all happened because we acted without informing you, Mr. Reed. We did this with the intention of finding the Dragonspire Ruins first and then inviting you to take charge of the follow–up matters

“But it’s precisely because we didn’t have you with us on this search that we suffered such heavy losses.”

After this, he lowered his head and bowed to Gilmore, saying, “Fortunately, Mr. Reed, you arrived in the nick of time, and now we have hope. We’ll need you to take charge in our continued search for the Dragonspire Ruins.”

Crimson’s display prompted White and the other sect masters to bow to Gilmore as well and say, “Please, Mr. Reed, take the lead!”

Gilmore looked at Crimson and the other sect masters, and even though he knew they were not telling the truth, he acted as if he was unaware. He said, “So, it turns out that you’ve been so thoughtful.

“I’m deeply moved. I had heard about your plans to search for the Dragonspire Ruins.

“And I was concerned for your safety, which is why I came to check on you.”

His words made Crimson and the others understand why he had come to the sinkhole.

It turned out that Gilmore had already been aware of the activities of the various sects. After all, Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect had no trouble keeping track of the movements of the other sects,

So Gilmore’s arrival in the sinkhole wasn’t all that surprising to them now.

With the knowledge of how things had transpired, Crimson and the others couldn’t help but feel disheartened. They had initially thought that they could quietly search for the Dragonspire Ruins without Gilmore’s knowledge, but it turned out that he had been well–informed all along.

This realization left them all feeling somewhat defeated.

It seemed like the idea of sneaking into the Dragonspire Ruins, obtaining cultivation treasure, and then using them to suppress Gilmore and seek revenge was completely impossible now.

While Crimson and the others felt frustrated, they didn’t dare to show it on their faces. Instead, they showered Gilmore with praise and gratitude. “Mr. Reed, you’re our savior.

“With Mr. Reed leading us, we’ll definitely find the Dragonspire Ruins,”

“Please, Mr. Reed, give us orders on what to do next.”

Crimson and the other sect masters were completely subservient in Gilmore’s presence.

Gilmore smiled and said. “I wouldn’t call it on

but I can share some of my thoughts.

“You’ve all witnessed the intense radiant light below and the formidable power of the massive light arc

Crimson and the others nodded eagerly, responding. Indeed, we’ve seen its incredible might. Mr. Reed, do you have any idea of what the light arc is?”

Gilmore looked at them and replied, “If I’m not mistaken, the light are should be an enchantment or a restriction used to access the Dragonspire Ruins.

Hearing this, Crimson and the others suddenly realized and looked enlightened.

An enchantment, to their knowledge, was created by cultivators using their extraordinary power to seal off a small world or a hidden place from the outside world.

Crimson and the other sect masters had undoubtedly heard the legends about enchantments, but legends were still just that – legends.

None of them had ever laid eyes on what an enchantment actually looked like.

However, as Gilmore explained, Crimson and the others quickly grasped that the light are below was a manifestation of such an enchantment’s power.

Crimson’s face displayed astonishment as he looked at Gilmore and asked, “Mr. Reed, if the light arc below is indeed an enchantment, how can we break through it and reach the Dragonspire Ruins?”

Gilmore responded, “I just observed that you were struck by the enchantment’s power but sustained only minor external injuries.

“This indicates that the enchantment of the Dragonspire Ruins isn’t as formidable as it might seem.

“I believe that if we work together, we may be able to break through the enchantment’s power.

Crimson and the others were once again surprised by Gilmore’s proposal.

They all wondered, “Break through the enchantment’s power together?”

The enchantment was set by cultivators, and they were just warriors. Could they really break through the enchantment set by cultivators?

Just then, Gilmore spoke up. “Let’s not hesitate. We’ll channel all of our power and direct it towards the most intense point of the light are below. Once we breach it, we’ll be able to reach the Dragonspire Ruins!”
