Chapter Making 571

Chapter 571

While Crimson and a dozen other sect masters were overjoyed. Gilmore remained calmly composed.

Gilmore had seen the Dragonspire Ruins Map in advance.

And it turned out that the real and fake Dragonspire Ruins Map were identical in appearance.

The key difference lay in the detailed annotations on the real Dragonspire Ruins Map.

For instance, the real Dragonspire Ruins included instructions on when and where to enter the Dragonspire Ruins successfully,

It even marked the locations of profound treasures of the Cultivation Realm and warned of lurking life–and–death crises in the Dragonspire Ruins.

And of course, these annotations weren’t in the familiar modern characters we use today. Instead, they were inscribed in an ancient script, a language long extinct from this world.

After all, those writings dated back thousands of years. It was highly unlikely that they would match the characters used in modern Eldoria.

So, even if someone were to obtain the Dragonspire Ruins Map, it would remain incomprehensible to anyone except the cultivators of the Dragonspire Rulins.

This was why Emperor Cosmo, Cosmo Lopez, who had obtained the Dragonspire Ruins Map, had passed it down to his descendants rather than venturing to find the Dragonspire Ruins himself.

It’s not that he didn’t want to seek out the Dragonspire Ruins, but the ancient scripts from millennia ago were incredibly cryptic, leaving him utterly perplexed. He simply didn’t know how to begin the search for the Dragonspire Ruins.

The Dragonspire Ruins Map had been passed down through Emperor Cosmo’s descendants for centuries, so it would only make sense that even the descendants could not decipher the ancient scripts inscribed on the map

This was also the reason why, even when the sect masters of the four major sects, including Jordan, possessed the Dragonspire Ruins Map, they, much like their ancestor Cosmo, found themselves clueless about where to start when it came to navigating the Dragonspire Ruins.

In other words, Cosmo’s descendants, generation after generation, could do nothing more than preserve and safeguard the Dragonspire Ruins Map.

That was where Gilmore stood apart. With his extraordinary ability, God’s Eye, he could pierce through the ancient script used by the Cultivation Realm millennia ago.

So

Gilmore had known all the secrets hidden within the Dragonspire Ruins Map

However, even though Gilmore had uncovered the Dragonspire Ruins Map’s secrets, he had no intention of disclosing them to Crimson and the others.

The reason Gilmore appeared to be on good terms with them, like allies, was because he knew that there were many unknown dangers on the path to the Dragonspire Ruins.

And Gilmore needed these people to venture on his behalf.

Of course, all these explanations were meaningless. The sect masters, like Crimson, were not saints by any means. If Gilmore hadn’t been powerful enough, he would have been long lead at their hands.

So, how could Gilmore truly be friends with these greedy, cung, and ruthless sect masters?

Of course, Gilmore maintained his composure, even feigned a sense of curiosity, and looked at Crimson and the other sect masters, asking. “Gentlemen, what exactly is this Dragonspire Ruins? Why does it have you so astonished?”

The expressions on the faces of Crimson and his companions were tinged with surprise, clearly not expecting Gilmore to be unaware of the Dragonspire Ruins.

With great patience, Crimson proceeded to explain to Gilmore that the Dragonspire Ruins was an ancient cultivation sanctuary as well as one of the 72 Sacred Sites of the Cultivation Realm.

After hearing this, Gilmore adopted a look as if a revelation had just dawned upon him, and he turned to Crimson with a question, “So. Mr. Sunglow, what exactly is this ancient Cultivation Realm? Are these cultivators more powerful than us

Warriors?”

Upon hearing Gilmore’s almost foolish inquiry, Crimson and the other sect masters were left in shock and speechless for a

moment.

But given that Gilmore’s power far surpassed that of them a dozen individuals combined, Crimson refrained from berating him and patiently explained what the Cultivation Realm entailed

For example, even a cultivator at the lowest level surpassed the mightiest warrior, Martial God, in terms of power.

The mightiest warrior, Martial God, could only meet a tragic end even before the weakest cultivator.

Furthermore, cultivation martialists at the highest level possessed the power to reshape the world itself, shatter mountains and rivers, and traverse both heavens and hells with unparalleled prowess.

After the explanation, Crimson adopted a grave expression and said to Gilmore, ‘Cultivation martialists are beings that our Martial Arts Realm can only dream of reaching.

“Especially, a millennia ago, the most renowned 72 Sacred Sites of the Cultivation Realm, such as the Dragonspire Ruins, vanished into the history.

“From then on, the Cultivation Realm and the 72 Sacred Sites, like the Dragonspire Ruins, became the stuff of our timeless.. captivating legends.”

At this point, Crimson summed up for Gilmore, “That’s why we’re so thrilled to see this Dragonspire Ruins Map.

“This map might be the key to finding the long–lost Dragonspire Ruins and the fabled Cultivation Realm that has captured our imaginations for millennia.”

As Crimson spoke, other sect masters like White nodded in agreement,

Though Gilmore had been well aware of everything Crimson had just revealed, he chose to wear an expression as if he were hearing it for the first time, displaying a hint of delight as he remarked, “So, this Cultivation Realm, and places like the Dragonspire Ruins, are truly remarkable.

“We must find the Dragonspire Ruins and uncover the secrets of that mysterious, vanished Cultivation Realm.

“We too shall become cultivation martialists, manipulating rain and clouds, mastering the heavens and the hells!”

Crimson and the others all nodded in agreement.

Crimson said, “Mr. Reed, with the Dragonspire Ruins Map in hand, we’re now poised to find the Dragonspire Ruins, where we might lay our hands on treasures of Cultivation Realm”

Crimson’s eyes gleamed with boundless hope, and he kept on saying, “But, Mr. Reed, when do we begin our quest to find the Dragonspire Ruins?”

However, Gilmore addressed Crimson and the other sect masters, saying, “Mr. Sunglow, and everyone present, the decision

to seek the Dragonspire Ruins is entirely yours.

Furthermore, as promised. I’m sharing and entrusting this Dragonspire Ruins Map to all of you.

“When the time comes to embark on the journey to find the Dragonspire Ruins, if there’s a need for my assistance and that of the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect, consider it a binding commitment.”

Having spoken these words, Gilmore had Leland bring over the gold casket and placed the Dragonspire Ruins Map inside it.

Gilmore then handed the gold casket to Crimson with great solemnity.

Gilmore’s action left Crimson and the dozen other sect masters, and even the sect masters of the four major sects like Jordan in the distance, momentarily stunned.

They couldn’t believe that Gilmore had entrusted Crimson and the others with the Dragonspire Ruins Map.

Though the four major sect masters knew the Dragonspire Ruins Map inside the gold casket was a counterfeit, Gilmore could not possibly know the secret.

For Gilmore to bestow Crimson with the Dragonspire Ruins Map without knowing its authenticity was simply unbelievable.

After all, the Dragonspire Ruins Map held the key to the whereabouts of the most renowned Dragonspire Ruins of the Cultivation Realm from millennia ago.

It might even lead them to crucial artifacts from the Cultivation Realm.

For anyone, it would be unimaginable to hand over something of such importance to others.

But Gilmore handed over this incredibly important Dragonspire Ruins Map to Crimson and the others.

Thus, Gilmore had become an enigmatic figure to the four major sect masters, including Jordan.

It took Crimson and the other dozen sect masters quite some time to recover from their astonishment.

They couldn’t believe that Gilmore had so casually handed them the Dragonspire Ruins Map.

Previously, Gilmore’s willingness to share the Secret Map with them had left them profoundly grateful.

Now, with Gilmore directly handing over the Dragonspire Ruins Map and letting them call the shots, they felt like they’d been hit with a happiness bomb.

Goodness, this is such a windfall!

And a large one!

Crimson and the dozen other sect masters couldn’t help but think, “If only we have known that Gilmore could simply hand over the Dragonspire Ruins Map like this, we wouldn’t have to lead an army to attack the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect.

What we should have done is to prepare a gift and go pay our respects to Gilmore.”

Crimson, once he’d snapped out of his immense joy, spoke with a hint of flattery, “Mr. Reed, this can’t be right!

“The Dragonspire Ruins Map was originally yours, so you should be the one to make the decision.

“We shall follow your leat, Mr. Reed.”

White and the other sect masters echoed in agreement, “Absolutely, Mr. Reed’s decision should be final!”
