Gilmore shook hands and made amends with Crimson and the dozen other sect masters.

This surprised Leland, Darius, and the other martialists of the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect.

Because in their eyes, Gilmore could have easily dealt with Crimson and the others.

There was no need for Gilmore to seek reconciliation with them.

“I am aware that, much like myself, all of you share the desire to unveil the true essence of the Secret Map.

“And since the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect and the other sects are now friends, sharing the Secret Map is only fair.”

Gilmore then turned to the vice sect masters, Leland and Darius, and said, “Gentlemen, let’s head to the frigid abyss in the rear mountain to retrieve the Secret Map.

“Of course, Mr. Reed, Leland and Darius replied respectfully.

Gilmore then turned to Crimson and other sect masters and, with politeness, said, “Everyone, please.”

As Crimson and the others watched this, they were pretty much convinced that Gilmore was actually inviting them to the rear mountain for the treasure hunt and a peek at the Secret Map

At first, they thought that Gilmore might be testing their desire for the secret map, so they didn’t dare to admit it and flatly refused.

But now, seeing that Gilmore wasn’t just testing them, but genuinely inviting them to the rear mountain to recover the Secret Map, it filled the hearts of Crimson and the other sect masters with quiet delight,

Following their previous loss to Gilmore, they couldn’t have dreamt of getting their hands on the Secret Map.

Who would’ve thought that Gilmore was actually willing to share the Secret Map with them now?

Following Gilmore’s invitation, Crimson and the other sect masters as well as their respective martialists joined Gilmore and the martialists of the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect as they made their way to the rear mountain.

Several minutes later, the martialists from the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect and the other major sects had all gathered at the rear precipice.

Gilmore and Crimson, along with the other sect masters, stood at the edge of the rear precipice, with a mysterious chasm shrouded in wisps of light fog below.

Deep within the chasm, a view of the tranquil, azure frigid abyss could be discerned.

Gilmore gazed at Crimson and the others, saying, “Everyone, deep within this chasm, you’ll find the frigid abyss concealing the Secret Map of the four major sect masters.”

Crimson and the others took a quick peek at the frigid abyss at the bottom of the precipice and realized that it was downright massive.

Below the precipice, that frigid abyss seemed to go on forever, its water an eerie shade of turquoise that screamed extreme depth. This left them wondering how they could dig up the Secret Map hidden in its depths.

Seemingly anticipating Crimson und the others‘ thoughts, Gilmore gazed at them and remarked, “Are you all worrying about how to retrieve the Secret Map from the frigid abyss?

Crimson and the rest could only nod in agreement and replied, “Yes, Mr. Reed, we are at a loss here. This frigid abyss is massive and bottomless, so retrieving the Secret Map from its depths is looking like a real challenge.”

Gilmore nodded and said, “Indeed, the Thousand–Foot Frigid Abyss is both vast and deep. Trying to retrieve the hidden Secret Map from it is like searching for a needle in the ocean.”

Gilmore then changed the topic, “However, the four sect masters, Jordan, Elijah, Alexander, and Bentley Lopez, are at the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect right now.

“We can just call them here, and I’m sure they will guide us on where the Secret Map is hidden at the bottom of the frigid abyss. Then, hunting it down won’t be such a headache.”

Crimson and the other sect masters‘ eyes brightened in unison, and they spoke, “Mr. Reed, that sounds awesome.”

Gilmore then turned to Leland and said, “Mr. Gardner, please have people bring Jordan and the others here.”

Leland nodded and led about ten martialists soaring away from the rear precipice and heading toward the palaces and pavilions of the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect.

In just the span of a cup of coffee, Leland and the dozen martialists returned.

They touched down on the rear precipice, and they had a few other people in tow.

Jordan, Elijah, Alexander, and Bentley Lopez, the four sect masters, all had their hands and feet shackled with black iron chains. Meanwhile. Wyatt, Isaac, and Theodore Lopez, the three scions, were free from restraints.

While most members from the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect had come to the rear precipice in the rear mountain.

Only some martialists were still holding the fort inside the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect.

The four sect masters, including Jordan, remained within the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect, as they were detained in the dungeons of the Phoenix Sect.

As for Wyatt and the other two scions had been keeping a watchful eye on them from day one, making sure they didn’t stray an inch from the Sunsbury’s Dragon Sect.

So, the turn of events where Cedric’s plan went awry, and he met his fate at the hands of Crimson, remained completely concealed from the four sect masters, such as Jordan, and the three scions, including Wyatt.

Leland took the four sect masters and the three scions to the rear precipice, and he addressed Gilmore with a nod. “Mr. Reed, we’ve got them here.”

gave a nod, fixing his gaze on Jordan and asked, “Jordan, do you know why I called you all the way out here?”

Jordan cracked a cold smile. “We’re standing on the rear precipice of the Phoenix Sect, overlooking the Thousand–Foot Frigid Abyss. You are dragging us here for the Secret Map, I reckon.”

Gilmore didn’t sweat it, and he continued, “Spot on. I called you here to get the skinny on where the Secret Map is hidden down in the Thousand–Foot Frigid Abyss.”

Jordan hadn’t seen his son, Cedric, but he figured that Gilmore and these sect masters of those major sects must have learned about the fact from Cedric that the Secret Map had been hidden in the frigid abyss.

After all, Gilmore was already here on the rear mountain of Phoenix Peak, and members from the Dragon

major sects had also gathered

For Jordan, the gathering of the sect masters of all the major sects at Phoenix Peak was already a promising sign of success in his plan. He saw it as a significant step towards not only eliminating Gilmore with the backing of these sects but also revivin the four major sects.
