Lyceon - The dark lord

Chapter Chapter-18- UNGRATEFUL

"Iam Allison Griffin, a human and only healer from midnight crescent moon pack. I don't know the purpose of your King for bringing me here but it's not a pleasure to be staying here. Thank you." Allison spoke moderately and steadily and served herself random recipes on her plate. She hadn't any interest in any of their introductions.

The whole dining hall was shit silent at her words. She guessed her sweet alluring voice spilling that damn assertion dumbfounded everyone. She imagined them gaping at her in disbelief. From her peripheral view, she saw Ashina hide her slipping smile and gulped the drink. Guess, she misinterpreted her attitude.

Suddenly Caden let out a whistle.

"Wow! Allison Griffin! I had never heard anyone daring to speak against our King like this, do you have a death wish, Girl?" His eyes widened at her. Allison chewed her food slowly and blinked up.

She didn't say anything wrong though as She already accumulated many deaths in her lap for the last few days.

"Indeed, guest or not. He would never spare you for uttering those words. You are lucky that He is not here to witness this." Aiden nodded, agreeing with his brother after they sobered up from their mirth. He shook his head in an abrupt motion of dread.

"Let's just witness what Lyceon would do if He came to know that his sweet guest is displeased staying here." Allison turned to see Ashina with a sparkling gaze in her way. Allison realised She really loves discomforting and teasing her. 'Do you have any problem with me, woman? I am not your puppet to play with.'

Allison screamed in her mind.

"Are you going to tell him?" caden enquired with an unbelievable look. Yeah, they must have known she loves to play games.

Ashina shrugged her shoulders with a fake pout while contemplating it.

"Not only did she have the audacity to show her displeasure staying here and being ungrateful but she is having a meal with us sitting on the special chair. Rebecca would never allow her to touch it let alone sitting beside the king's chair." Allison looked to her side as one of the two girls at the last chairs snorted before levelling her nasty gaze at her. Allison blinked up at her with confusion.

Only then she turned her head to the right side to see the empty Head chair of the King. He was absent but on whose chair she was sitting.

Rebecca, is she his mistress or what? And both of them are absent.

Allison looked over at the Aztec side questionably as he was the one who asked her to sit there. But he was busy glaring at the girl who pursed her lips and lowered her gaze. Allison guessed he was mind-linking her. Was I being ungrateful!

Tsk!

Allison heard someone clearing their throat and she found a middle-aged lady looking at her with her amber eyes.

"Don't pull her leg, you all. It's her first day here and you are already spooking her up." she said with her thick voice before setting her gaze on Allison.

"Sweetheart, don't mind them. They are just curious to know as it's the first time Lyceon brought the human girl from the rival pack to add up." Her words confused Allison.

"That's what I was trying to ask, wasn't King headed there to eradicate the pack which dared to join with the enemies but instead we got this ungrateful little mouse here uninvitedly." Another girl snided with a hostile look in her eyes beside the one who insulted Allison before. Well, both of them already fell into her dislike category.

Allison wondered if their scent was the vile one that was twitching her to scratch her skin.

But when she grasped her words, her fingers on the cutleries tightened and dread gripped her heart. What does she mean by eradicate?

"That's what I thought? How come the pack is still breathing and King bestowed us with this pretty little thing from the very same pack. King had never done that, turning from his intents."

Aiden mentioned while her head was spinning with the new information, they all stared at her with curious gazes like she was someone extraordinary.

"Can you guys stop uttering things and get to dinner? Don't make it more depressing for her than she already is. If you want to feed your curiosity then talk to the King directly." Aztec snapped, making everyone shut their mouths abruptly. "I agree. Have your meal guys. You are not respectively representing your kingdom." The lady chastised them. But Allison's focus was on something else.

More and more chaos was building inside her head. He came in her pack to kill everyone but He didn't.

it because of me? He warned me He will do it if I didn't go with him.

Did He use his threatening to get me or did He postpone it to keep his word?'

Allison bit her lips in tension.

He might do it later!

"Who will do what, Sweetie?" Allison snapped my head to Ashina's direction who cocked her perfect brow at her.

'Did I say it out loud? Or Does she have the power to read minds or a super hearing gift?'

Allison's eyes enlarged at the thought. She didn't think so. She was a human so how can she possibly know it? But... she was a lycan who had exceptional powers.

Ashina smirked leisurely before pouring the mushroom based spaghetti dish on her plate.

"You need to have the energy to race your mind in the right direction, Sweetie. You possibly can't put up with my brother with this drained little human's body." Ashina whispered the last line near her ear before getting up. Allison bit her lips, breathing out.

After Ashina walked away, she released a sigh of relief. The rest of the dinner went silent. But she couldn't miss the words Aztec said before she sprinted to her room. "You said that loud enough for me to hear too."
