Loveless Marriage

Chapter 133 He Finally Understood

When she mentioned this, Isabella immediately became angry, "You still dare to bring it up! Tell me, when did you two collude?"

Isabella understood Naomi the best. Other than being loyal to her friends, she was also quite into joining the fun. How impossible could she left her so quickly? Did this girl think she didn't know that?

"Isabella! What the hell of collusion? Mr. Miller and I only know each other through you. As your friend, I don't have any bad motives."

Isabella rolled her eyes in anger, raising her tone, "Naomi, don't pretend to know nothing. Say, how much money did he pay you?"

"Ok, ok... Stop being angry. Be careful of the babies." Naomi singed then asked suspiciously, "Why are you so angry now? Did something happen after I left?"

Isabella had some water to calm her down, and then casually lied down on the bed. Her tone became much more indifferent as she said, "Nothing."

"Liar." Naomi firmly refused to believe it, but she didn't ask any further. Her voice now became a bit calmer: "Isabella, in fact, you should try to move on. Just take it as a way to know him again and start over. You could do it for the sake of babies. Any child wants a whole family. You would get married anyway, and can't possibly be single for your entire life.

Hearing that, Isabella was lost in her thought.

That's right.

Shouldn't she be more free now? Why did she confine herself even deeper? She didn't owe him anything, so why did she backed herself into a corner where there was no way to retreat to?

Scratching her hair, Isabella buried her face in the quilt, then she said weakly, "Thank you, Naomi, but I felt quite annoyed right now."

She briefly told her about what happened at noon. As soon as she finished, Naomi immediately screamed.

"Holy s*it. This man's finally understood."

Isabella, "..."

"What finally? Have you already known anything already?

"Uh, no, nothing. I'm just a little surprised." Naomi silently exhaled, touched her chest guiltily, then smiled: "As expected, intelligent men could understand anything. It seems that he has thought about quite a lo during this period."

She'd truly underestimated him, as she originally thought he would still need more time. Now it seemed that she may attend a wedding party soon.

Becoming more and more annoyed listening to her words, Isabella hung up before long.

After pondering alone for a moment, she suddenly got a call from Mr. Smith.

"Hello, Mr. Smith."

"Miss Jones, are you free now?"

Isabella hesitated for a second, "Uh, yes. Mr. Smith, what's wrong?"

She was just to be polite, as he was her superior. But after hearing what he said, she immediately regretted.

"Isn't Mr. Simons returning today? He now is almost at the airport. Send him off for me. I'm too busy right now."

"But if I hurry to the airport right now... Is it too late?" Isabella said. Couldn't he just send his secretary? Why did he must let her go? Didn't they just have dinner together last night?

"He said it was the evening flight but didn't tell me the exact time. It's still early now, so you should see him when you get there."

Mr. Smith's words made Isabella have no idea how to refute. She could only reply, "... Alright, I'll be there right away."

"Okay, thanks so much."

"No worries. Bye." Isabella grinned as she hung up, but felt like cursing in her heart.

But she had to obey no matter how unhappy she was. She changed her clothes, found a hat to cover the wound on her forehead and went out.

However, not long she drove out of the parking lot, a black car also drove out of there and followed her all the way.

In the airport, Isabella met Shawn in the VIP room.

"Mr. Simons."

Shawn hadn't expected to see her, and he warmly smiled: "Miss Jones, thank you for coming here."

Isabella smiled, "No worries, Mr. Simons. You has been taking good care of Benton for so long since you came to Brighton, so no matter what, I should come to send you off. It's just that Mr. Smith was too busy right now, and that's why I'm here alone."

As soon as she finished her words, Shawn suddenly touched the brim of her hat. He caught a glimpse of the gauze over her forehead, then seriously said, "Did you get hurt?"

Isabella was startled and subconsciously retreated a few steps. Seeing that there were others around, she smiled awkwardly, "It's nothing. I just accidentally knocked down this afternoon. It's merely a scratch. Shawn immediately frowned and blamed her in a low voice, "It already turned oozing blood and you just called it a scratch? It won't be good to leave a scar. Come, I'll take you to the infirmary."

Hearing that, even the female secretary looked at him in surprise, not to mention Isabella. She quickly shook her head and laughed dryly as she rejected, "I'm really okay now. I've already been to the hospital. Thank you so much, Mr. Simons."

Shawn was very graceful and his smile was extremely gentle as well. However, for some reason, he just made her feel very uncomfortable, as if she was a prey chosen by him.

"If you feel it inconvenient, I'll let my secretary take you there. There's still plenty of time, and you need to change your gauze." Looking at his secretary, he gentle said.

The secretary nodded and smiled to Isabella: "Miss Jones, it would a pity if there is a scar left on your beautiful face. Let me help you."

The smile on Isabella's face turned stiff, "Um..."

"Mr. Simons, are you leaving so soon?"

Just as Isabella was about to reply she was interrupted by a voice from behind her. When she turned to look, she was startled. Why did he come?¶¶¶¶¶
