Chapter 367
Chapter 367 Apology
Seeing his two sons’ anxious faces, Steven calmly sat in the chair, remaining unmoved.
Then, he slightly raised his eyes and said, "Didn't you drive him away? Why are you getting anxious now? Why are you so
changeable?"
We're in trouble now! Why are you still making jokes?" Jalen frowned, Dad, the current situation of the Mazedew Group is not
good. If we lose the Never Lose and Never Forget’ project to Newman Jewelry, we will lose face!"
“It will be much more serious than losing face! I'm afraid the whole industry will look down upon us!' Wade said with a gloomy
face, “Isn't Hailey adding insult to our injury? We treated her well. But as soon as Owen passed away, she bit the hands that fed
her. It is for her that Owen..."
Shut up!” Steven glared at him and said, "Stop talking nonsense! Owen's death has nothing to do with Hailey! If you dare to say
such words again, I will beat you to death!"
Wade's face became sullen when he said in a deep voice, "I see, Dad. I was just too angry”..”
Steven snorted, "You're too angry? Didn't you make a rod for your own back? Do you think you managed to keep me in the
dark? When the project was going on well, you just sent a bunch of ignorant people to make indiscreet criticisms. I know Jason's
temper well. It's for my sake that he didn't beat you!"
Jalen replied with a bitter face, "Dad, I admit we should not have acted so rashly. But it is not time to find out who is to blame
now. Our priority is to get Jason back!"
Steven rolled his eyes at them and said, "Who caused the trouble will go to solve it. You angered him away, so it is you that
should figure out a way to get him back. You are both fathers now. Don't expect me to clear up the messy situation for you!"
Then, he walked away with his hands behind his back, leaving Wade and Jalen frowning at each other in the study.

Then, he walked away with his hands behind his back, leaving Wade and Jalen frowning at each other in the study.
They couldn't swallow their pride to apologize in person, so they sent their sons to Poya.
Early the next morning, unlucky Bob and Benson set off on behalf of their fathers. When they were forced to board the plane,
they both looked helpless. After they arrived in Poya, they went straight to the Garden of Rose.
They were quite sensible and brought several bags of gifts with them instead of being empty-handed. When they arrived at the
entrance of the Garden of Rose, they were surprised to find that Hailey's house was so big and luxurious! It turned out she had
married down into the Moore family.
When Hailey received the call from Lily, she was visiting Saul in the hospital with Karl.
The Yerkes family had come back to worship their ancestors and had never expected Saul to have such an accident. His
grandfather was staying in the capital city now, while the other family members had all come to Poya. Karl was the son-in-law of
the Yerkes family, so he must take care of them.
Saul hadn't woken up yet. There had been signs of waking up, but he had quickly fallen into a coma again. No one knew when
he would revive. Fortunately, his bones healed well, and his condition was not as serious as Owen's back then.
It was his several old injuries that had caused him to lapse into unconsciousness. But this car accident also helped him heal his
old injuries. Hailey couldn't explain specifically to the Yerkes family but kept asking them to be confident and talk to the patient
every day. She had promised that Saul would revive.
The Yerkes family had blue blood and was wealthy and powerful in Traique, but they did not put on air at all. Their good family
upbringing made them look kind and friendly.
Thank you, Dr. Grace.” Mr. Yerkes was of mixed blood and looked handsome and elegant. His English was not fluent, so he
spoke slowly. His articulation was not clear, but his pronunciation was accurate.Hailey replied, "Saul saved my life. I must repay
his kindness.”
When her phone suddenly rang, she excused herself and went out of the ward to answer the call.
Lily said, "The two young masters of the Moore family came."
Soon, Benson shouted on the other end of the phone, "Hailey, we're here to see you!"
Hailey frowned and said briefly, ‘I'll be right back."
When Karl came out of the ward, he asked, Are you leaving?"
"Yes, the two boys of the Moore family came.”
When she glanced into the ward, she saw Saul lying quietly on the hospital bed, wearing a ventilator. Only his steady and hot
breathing sprayed on the oxygen mask showed that he was still alive. Her face became gloomy when she tightly pursed her lips,
and her eyes were full of desolation and guilt.
Karl raised his hand, patted her face lightly, and said, “It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself."
Hailey suddenly smiled. Her eyes used to be bright and clear. But now, they looked as if being shrouded in smoke, revealing a
vague sense of sadness. Then, said, "Am I the bane of everyone's life?”
Karl frowned, "Stop talking nonsense."
Hailey said with difficulty, “I've never brought good luck to the people around me. And everyone close to me suffered a lot. Such
as my parents, Owen, and Saul...”
Before she could finish speaking, Karl patted the back of her head gently and scolded her in a deep voice, saying, “Shut up. Stop
thinking nonsense!”
Hailey's pale face and self-pitying tone made him feel a sting in his heart as if his heart had been pricked by a needle.
Hailey lowered her head and wrapped her arms around herself, feeling cold all over her body.
Karl sighed deeply, clasped the back of her head with his big palm, pressed her into his arms, and stroked her head gently,
saying, "You will always be our lucky star and little sun."
Hailey leaned against his warm chest, trying her best to absorb his warmth although her heart was full of ice and fog.
Keeping their mission in mind, Bob and Benson chased after Jason everywhere to persuade him. But the old man was unmoved.
He put a pipe in his mouth, smoked it, and said, ‘I've made up my mind to leave the project. You don't need to persuade me
anymore! Go to hire someone else."
"Don't say such words, Mr. Jason!" Benson shook Jason's arm with a bitter face and said, "We were forced to come here! And
we've pledged to get you back. If you refuse, I will live in hell in the next six months!"
Bob nodded heavily with a sincere expression.
Hailey suddenly arrived at the door and lightly said in a clear voice, If you don't want to live in hell at home, you can move to
Poya."
