Love Is Colder than Death

Chapter 7 You Don't Deserve It!

It took Phoenix ten days to come to herself from this coma. She also spent a month resting on the bed. Although Jun Mohan never showed up, he had his help to send her necessary meals and medicine for blood enriching, of course, take one bowl of her blood every day.

Phoenix wanted to pay a visit to Jun Mohan, but she was not feeling very well these days and her head was always dizzy, besides, she spent most of her time sleeping.

This morning, when Sparrow was braiding her hair, she couldn't help gasping astoundedly. Phoenix looked at her doubtfully, only to find that girl was brimming with tears. "Your Highness... Your hair..."

"What's the matter?"

She took Sparrow's hand and saw some strings of gray hair.

"This is... is my hair?"

Sparrow nodded tearfully, "Your Highness, please stop persisting, let's go back to the Celestial Land... Please... Please..."

Phoenix looked at herself in the mirror, sighed slightly, "Just some gray hair. There's nothing to wail! Hide them for me..."

She should have thought of the vital price of losing her phoenix bone.

Jun Mohan had made an order to isolate her Phoenix Hall that others couldn't see them without his permission. But she had made up her mind to speak to Jun Mohan today.

So when those guys came here and tried to take her blood, she refused crazily. She even threatened to destroy her primordial spirit if Jun Mohan didn't come here to meet her. She also told them to inform him what would he do to remedy Celestial people if she vanished in this Fairy Land.

Jun Mohan came in the end.

Sitting alone on the stone bridge, Phoenix was wearing a thin navy gown, quivering in this night wind. She couldn't help holding her arms to withstand the cold.

She randomly held up one bottle of wine, took a gulp after another. Her rosy cheeks told the truth that she was a little bit drunk. Her untied hair was blowing freely by the wind.

"Each night is not a night, sweet dreams are bewildering. Sit and rest alone in the balcony to enjoy the moon. Taking some wine and shedding some tears..."

Jun Mohan stood under the bridge with his hands held behind his back, seeing her from a distance, and thought, "Is she missing her home?"

"Why? Why doesn't she just leave if she's missing her home this much?"

If she was not that stubborn and came back to her Celestial Land as what he asked, he wouldn't have hurt her.

Jun Mohan bore a very very complicated mood toward this girl who had been around him for three hundred years...

Suddenly, a piece of the beautiful song echoed, which aroused his memory.

Jun Mohan stared at that dim figure in great astonishment. How could it be? How could Phoenix know this song?

That was exclusive for him and Seven...

The old song resounded in the wind, which was played so lively and emotional by a bamboo leaf. So emotional...

After being stuck for a few seconds, Jun Mohan rushed to the bridge, pulled the song player up, and asked, "Tell me! Where did you learn this song?" "What?"

Phoenix was dragged up. Noticing that angry face in front of her, she tried to escape from him. "What are you doing?"

"I ask you where did you learn this song?"

She learned the song from that person... who had a special identity. She was not sure why Jun Mohan was this anxious so she looked at him discreetly and replied, "Why you ask this?' Jun Mohan gazed at her calm and pale face, and held her legs tightly, "Tell me, who taught you this song?"

Seeing this scary look of his, Phoenix thought she'd better not telling anything...

"Jun Mohan, are you out of your mind? I, I just happened to have heard of it somewhere. But I don't remember where I heard of it..."

"I see..." Jun Mohan calmed down. He felt he had overreacted that she might have got to learn the song when Snow was playing the song.

"Don't you ever play the song again!"

Phoenix blurted out, "Why?"

Why he was being this unreasonable that she was even not allowed to play a song?

The air seemed to stagnate at this moment.

Then a light wind blew, her fragrance was brought toward him. He frowned for he was suddenly fidgety.

"You don't deserve it." He moved his lips.

For these scorching four words came directly out of his mouth, Phoenix didn't say anything but smiled feebly.
