Chapter 1577: A good question without a guilty conscience
Hector works efficiently and arranges his schedule in a crisp and clean manner.
The next day, he flew to Kyoto with Eloise and the two children.
When the plane landed at Kyoto International Airport, Hector was holding Sweety and Eloise was holding Solomon, making the family of four a sight to behold. "They're all so good looking ..."
"Yes, the two kids are so cute!"
As they passed outside the airport, Eloise was a little embarrassed to hear the chatter of passers-by and lowered her head as her steps picked up. Edgar knew they were coming and had been waiting outside the airport early.
When he saw them coming out, he rushed to greet them, took the luggage trolley from Hector and smiled, "Finally, I'm expecting you." "Brother-in-law." Sweety called out sweetly.
"Good girl, did you miss your uncle?" Edgar asked, gently pinching her nose.
"Yes!" Sweety replied loudly.
"What about Solomon?" Edgar turned his head to look at Solomon.
"Want too." Solomon was old enough to look a little shy about expressing his feelings.
"I miss you guys too."
Sweety chattered all the way back to the Khan family home, while the adults and Solomon listened quietly, occasionally echoing a few words. When the car pulled into the house, Baggott, Brimlad and Edwina were already waiting for them in the courtyard.
As soon as the car door opened, Solomon and Sweety were the first to jump out.
"Uncle Grandpa, Uncle Grandma!" The two little ones ran past one after the other.
"That's a good boy!
Baggott and Brimlad bent down and stroked their little heads, then straightened up to watch Hector and Eloise approach.
Brimlad was so happy that his eyes were brimming with tears.
"Little aunt." Eloise walked up to her.
"Hey." Brimlad took her hand and looked her up and down, frowning, "Why have you lost so much weight?"
Eloise laughed softly, "Auntie, I haven't lost any weight, not a pound."
"You've just lost weight, don't comfort me." Brimlad gave her a feigned disgruntled glare.
"No, really. If you don't believe me, I'll weigh you later." Eloise joked.
Brimlad actually took it seriously, "That's fine."
"Well, don't just stand outside, go inside." Baggott greeted them as they entered the house. Eloise walked up to Edwina and was a little surprised to see her bulging belly, "So big, huh?" Edwina smiled shyly, "Mum cooks me good food every day, how can I not have a big tummy?"
"It's right to watch your nutrition, but you still need to keep your weight under control." Eloise helped her towards the house. Edwina nodded, "I've been slowly getting my diet under control."
The housekeeper retrieved the toys the two little ones had left over here earlier and gave them something to play with aside. A few of the adults went to sit in the living room.
"Here, have some fruit." Brimlad came over with a plate of fruit.
"Auntie, we're not outsiders, you don't have to be busy." Eloise said.
"Of course you're not outsiders, but it's been a long time since I've been here and I've definitely had to be more attentive."
Brimlad forked a piece of apple and handed it to her, "Have some fruit."
Eloise took it with a smile.
"Hector, are things all taken care of?" Edgar asked.
Hector nodded, "Well, it's all taken care of."
At the mention of it, Baggott became interested and asked curiously, "How did you guys come up with the idea of live streaming the whole production process?"
"It was Eloise's idea." Hector turned his head, his gentle gaze falling on Eloise's face.
"Eloise?"
The others were surprised.
Especially Edgar, "Eloise, how did you come up with this?"
"It was Hector who gave me the bottom line." Eloise thought for a moment and continued, "I just wanted to use the live broadcast to let the public know that the Rogers Group has a clear conscience!" "That's a good one!"
A muffled voice suddenly rang out and everyone looked at it.
It was Grandpa.
Eloise stood up and called out in surprise, "Grandpa!"
Her eyes were unconsciously red.
Grandpa was dressed in a Chinese suit, leaning on a cane, slowly walking over with the help of his housekeeper, his weathered face full of joy, his eyes unusually bright. He looked particularly hale and hearty.
Eloise ran over to help him and Grandpa stopped and turned his head to stare at her, "Girl, you finally remembered you have a grandfather."
Eloise thought he was really angry with her for not coming to see him for so long, so she hurriedly explained, "Grandpa, I'm sorry, I ..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by Grandpa, "Silly girl, Grandpa is teasing you."
Grandpa looked at the family and his eyes were flooded with tears.
Since sleeping for so long and waking up so easily, he cherished the time his family spent together even more.
"Great-grandfather!"
Solomon and Sweety, who were playing nearby, heard the sound and ran to Grandpa.
Grandpa smiled happily when he saw them, "Solomon, Sweety, let Grandpa see if you've grown."
"Taller." Solomon and Sweety replied in unison.
"Good boy." Grandpa took out two red envelopes from his pocket, "Here, this is from your great grandfather, grow up safely and healthily." Both little ones turned their heads to look at Eloise in understanding.
Eloise smiled, "Take it."
She knew Grandpa's intentions and knew the customs in Kyoto, so she didn't stop.
Sweety took the red envelope and said in a soft and cuddly voice, "Grandpa, brother always tops the class in every exam."
"Really, that good?" Grandpa looked at Solomon and stroked his head, not hiding his affection, "He's as smart as his dad."
When Eloise heard this, she instantly said, "Grandpa, are you saying I'm not smart?"
"You're smart, too." Grandpa lost his smile helplessly.
Eloise laughed too.
"Grandpa, from now on I want to be like my brother and come first in all my exams!" Sweety raised her little face and said in a milky voice. Grandpa smiled and nodded his head, "Yes, yes, yes."
Eloise helped Grandpa to sit down on the sofa and while the older men talked about business, Brimlad and Eloise went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
