Love Comes To Me

Chapter 1570: Help Dad Fight Monsters

Alfredo approached and asked cautiously, "Prince, do you two really work together?"

"Hmm." Marcos' eyes narrowed, "But it's all the same to us."

Alfredo couldn't help but smile, "It doesn't make any difference. No matter who the three of you work with, to us you are three enemies, no more, no less." Not to mention that now that the prince had regained his memory, it was too easy to take on three enemies at once!

As Mark expected, Chris contacted Bauer.

"Mr. Bauer, you see we are now considered a partnership, can you introduce me to the head of your group?".

Even over the phone, you could hear the ingratiation in his voice.

"Mr. Chris, I can't make the decision on this matter, I need to ask for instructions from above."

"That's fine, I can wait. But also, please do this as a favor."

"I will try."

"Then thank you very much. I'll wait for your good news."

Chris hung up the phone, the smile on his lips immediately cut off and his expression clouded.

He really didn't want to put his hot face on someone else's cold ass if he wasn't trying to appeal to the Gerst Group.

Although he had now successfully partnered with Bergerian, it wasn't enough for him to take on both the Leoz Group and the Bartram Group.

And Gerst was the perfect choice to begin with.

Bauer briefed Eliazar on the matter.

Eliazar's mouth curved slowly, and it seemed that the prince had been right.

He looked at Bauer and said, "Tell him I'm busy these days."

Bauer nodded, "Yes."

Eliazar said this only to drag Chris in and deliberately latch onto his appetite.

Chris was not at all surprised to get Bauer's response.

He told Bauer that it could wait.

Domestic.

Once the material was destroyed, the factory again ordered a new batch of material.

This time it was discreet and someone was sent to follow it all the way from where it was being shipped to the factory. There was not a single mistake and the material arrived safely at the factory. Marcos left everything else for Joaquin Robles to investigate.

Once the matter was resolved, Marcos could breathe a sigh of relief.

He came home early from work that day.

Mrs. Gloria was surprised to see him back and couldn't help but feel sorry for him: "It's only been a few days, you've lost a lot of weight again".

Marcos knew he had worried the family for the past few days and felt a little guilty.

Especially seeing his mother's distressed expression.

"Mom, I made you worry." said Marcos.

Mrs. Gloria shot him a look, "I'm your mother, why are you talking to me about this?" "Paulina is the one who is worried about you, go upstairs and see her and the baby." "Okay."

Marcos agreed.

He hurried up the stairs and just as he reached the door to the children's room, he heard Paulina's voice coming out.

"Snow White has been taken to the forest..."

He gently pushed open the door and his frown slowly softened as he caught a glimpse of the younger ones, one and two, sitting in the play area.

He slowed his steps and entered.

Esteban was the first to see him and shouted in surprise, "Daddy!".

Hearing him, Paulina and Sweety looked up.

The handsome, familiar face met their eyes and Paulina's heart shrank with joy.

"Daddy!"

Sweety stood up and ran to Marcos with her legs cut short.

Marcos knelt down and lifted her up in one smooth motion.

"Daddy, I missed you so much." Sweety wrapped her arms around his neck and rubbed his face.

"I've missed you too." Marcos' sweet gaze shifted to Paulina.

Paulina reached over, reached out and gently pinched Sweety's nose, "Your daddy is tired from working overtime for a few days, come on down."

At this, Sweety obediently came down, tilted her baby face and said in a milky voice, "Daddy, you have to rest, otherwise you won't have the energy to fight the monsters." "Monsters?" Marcos looked puzzled at Paulina.

Paulina let out a laugh, "I was the one who told him you were fighting monsters."

Marcos arched his eyebrows and smiled back, he was referring to his business rival as a monster.

"Dad, when I grow up, I'll help you fight monsters." said Esteban seriously.

Of course he knew what monsters Mom was referring to and that he was going to grow up fast so Dad wouldn't have to work so hard.

"Good." Marcos patted his head in relief.

...

After a few days, the family was finally able to sit down to dinner together and the atmosphere was extraordinarily lively and warm.

"Brother, your sister-in-law has been so worried the last few days you were away that she could hardly eat." said Alvaro with a smile as he looked at Paulina.

Paulina, fearful that Marcos would worry, quickly said, "Don't mind him, I ate on my time."

"Nonsense, brat." Mrs. Gloria glared at Alvaro: "How can your sister-in-law not eat if I'm here."

Alvaro looked aggrieved, "I only exaggerated a little, I didn't say my sister-in-law hadn't eaten."

"Then it is still true that we have wronged you." Mrs. Gloria felt both helpless and amused.

In the heat of the moment, the family finished eating and sat for a while in the living room before going to rest in their respective rooms.

It was when they returned to their room that Paulina asked about the company.

"Is everything settled?"

"Everything is fine, except that the company's reputation is somewhat damaged." said Marcos.

Reputation damage.

Paulina looked thoughtful.

"What's on your mind?" Marcos smiled and smoothed the strands of hair on her cheeks behind her ears.

"Thinking of ways to save the company's reputation."

"Oh?" Marcos looked at her with interest, "Any ideas, then?"

"Mmm!" Paulina nodded and looked at him, "But don't laugh at me if I don't get it right."

Mark rubbed her head and said softly, "No, how could I laugh at you."
