Love Began with the First Meeting

Allen turned away from Elsa and Oliver to glance at Charlie, who was seated a few seats away. Then he turned to look elsewhere. Naturally, George's advice made him even more curious. He had seen with his own eyes that the senior executives of Falloon Mall act respectfully towards Charlie. How could such a person only live off Evelyn? The only possibility would be that it was because Evelyn had given him such a high position. Could that be true?

With these thoughts swimming around in his head, he looked over at Evelyn and Charlie, who were seated next to each other. Evelyn was leaning towards Charlie, whispering something to him. Then she laughed so hard that her shoulder was touching Charlie's. They looked very intimate together.

At that moment, a man walked onto the stage. After pushing his thick glasses over the bridge of his nose, he bent slightly and said on the microphone, "Good afternoon, every dear player! Welcome to the Party! First of all please let me express our sincere pleasure to receive all of you on behalf of the Dragon Game Department of Flight Media..."

After his opening remarks, the man began to introduce the development concept of Dragon in the following and something to be released in the game soon. As soon as they saw the glorious special effects and the skills and configurations of characters to be added on the large screen on the stage, the players burst into an uproar and looked quite excited.

Then came the cosplay. Two popular multi-talented stars, a male and a female, appeared respectively as a member of Dragons and Dark Wizard, the two biggest ethnic groups in the game, causing another uproar of cheers from the players. One of the two stars was signed with The Flight Media, while the other was signed with The Dream Media. Despite different names, both the companies belonged to the Long Family. Stars signed with the two companies occupied half the market share. Thanks to the abundant financial resources of the two companies, every star had a bright prospect for their development in future.

Of course, the Dragon Game Department of Flight Media had been able to invite the most popular male and female stars to advertise for Dragon from the beginning. Dramatically, the two of them became a real couple in the end because they usually advertised for Dragon together.

After a representative of every character appeared, new characters appeared on the stage. The splendid and aesthetic attire and weapons made the players' eyes light up every now and then.

"We will draw a lottery during the dinner party to find two lucky players. They will be given new configurations for new characters as gifts," the person in charge said while new characters appeared on the stage, causing the players to shout for joy. He waited for them to calm down from the surprise. When the time came, he gave them a gesture, indicating that he was going to continue speaking. While the players stopped shouting, he took a look at Charlie before he said, "Now please let me invite the founder of Dragon..." He paused to intentionally create suspense. It was not until everybody's heart rose to his or her throat that he stretched his hand towards Charlie and continued, "Mr. Charlie Long! He is also a legendary character who has always drawn everybody's attention in the game Dragon-Silent Sorrow!"

As soon as the man's words faded away, the excitement on everybody's face was replaced by a daze. When a spotlight was given to Charlie and he stood up, the players burst into crazy roar, as if the roof of the venue was about to be turned over.

In the eyes of the players in Dragon, Silent Sorrow was absolutely a legendary master. His micro operation was extremely precise, as if there was no loophole. Even when he fought against Obsession for Dragon City, he had been able to remain cold-minded in front of a professional player. The most important was that he had been able to help his teammates by making use of a ultimate skill of Dragons while playing his own part. In the field of computer game, only the strongest players could survive. Even if you were rich, you would not necessarily win the game. However, a player with great operation skills was different.

With one of his hands tucked in his trouser pocket, Charlie walked onto the stage as the spotlight moved. Standing in front of the microphone, he looked unruly and arrogant. He scanned the players with his deep eyes. With an almost invisible evil yet attractive smile at the corners of his mouth, he said, "Good afternoon, everybody! I'm Charlie Long. While I'm the founder of Dragon, I'm also one of you."

While the players sitting under the stage admired him with surprise, they burst into laughter at his sense of humor. In a witty tone, he talked about the game and the aim of Dragon in the next stage. Most of the players at present were infatuated with him by his charming manners.

Every player longed for either a good-looking appearance or highly skilled operation. Charlie was both features in one person. It was no wonder that he attracted most of the players. Moreover, the players were surprised to learn that Silent Sorrow was none other than Charlie Long, the most famous of the younger generation of the Long Family. Many girls liked to fancy themselves in a romantic relationship with the one and only Charlie Long.

Allen was as surprised as Rita. The same as them, every player from A University, who was not a member of Madness Is Good, looked stunned, no matter which server they belonged to. None of them had imagined that the person who had been known as Evelyn's toy boy as well as for his appearance was in fact Mr. Charlie Long, who had made great achievements but never appeared in public before.

If Rita and George came from rich and powerful families, then Charlie came from one of the richest and most powerful families. With his physical appearance, skilled operation, successful career as well as such a family background, how could anybody else compare with him?

They only knew that a person who possessed Dragon, a game with inestimable profit every day, and was able to turn mere a department of a subsidiary into a subsidiary of Dragon Empire Group could by no means simple.

"But before the PK, I want to talk about something private..." Charlie continued, deepening his smile a bit and letting his gaze fall on Elsa. *¶¶¶¶¶
