Chapter Substitute 9
Chapter

When the call remained unanswered, Ethan gave a barely noticeable chuckle, "What's wrong, didn't coordinate in advance?"
Tony also let out a breath of relief, his expression relaxing slightly, "I thought you might pull 'something off, but is this all you've got?" "Alright, we'll each give you three million. Consider it payment for this wedding dress."
Andrew said casually, then turned to wipe Bethany's tears.
"Don't cry, Beth. I'll take you shopping, buy you whatever you want, even a wedding dress more
beautiful than this one."
After comforting her, he gently took Bethany's hand and led her to the car, with the other two following closely behind.
Only after they left did Katerina's phone suddenly vibrate.
Joshua had sent a text message.
"In a meeting, will call you later. Is it urgent?"
She quickly typed back an apology: "No need, no need, you're busy. I just wanted to tell you I'm sorry, the wedding dress was destroyed by someone. I failed to protect it."
He replied quickly: "No matter. I'll have a new one made and sent over."
Just then, Mr. and Mrs. Green returned home. Seeing the shredded wedding dress, their faces instantly darkened.
After learning what had happened, their expressions turned black as coal
Mrs. Green fumed, "I originally took pity on Bethany's mother being a widow with a child, thinking they had it hard, so I let them stay and work in our home. Now I see both mother and daughter are of questionable character!" "Housekeeper! Fire them! Let this be justice for Kate!"
As she spoke, she held Katerina's hand and said gently, "Kate, don't worry. As long as we're here, we won't let anyone bully you."
Katerina felt touched and quietly thanked them before leaving with the wedding dress
No matter what, this was the dress Joshua had personally designed for her. She had to try everything possible to fix it.
The housekeeper worked efficiently. When Katerina returned, she found that Bethany and her mother had already been ordered to leave the Green family home.
She let out a sigh of relief, thinking
she could finally have some peace before her wedding, but when
she walked into her room, she found it had been ransacked.
Without thinking, she knew this must have been Bethany's doing.
This was the only way she could vent her anger.
Just as she was about to resign herself to cleaning up, suddenly footsteps sounded outside her door,
and the three brothers burst in.
"Katerina, are you really so intolerant of Beth? It was just a wedding dress, and we've already compensated you for it. Why won't you let it go? Did you have to force her to leave?" Ethan gripped her wrist tightly as he spoke harshly.
Katerina forcefully pulled her arm free from his grip, looking thoroughly annoyed and no longer wanting to explain.
"Whatever you say."
This response ignited Tony's anger, and he frowned in disbelief: "Is this your attitude? Aren't you going to apologize to Beth?"
"What do I have to apologize for?"
She truly didn't understand.
Andrew, however, wore a cold expression and gave her no chance to refuse as he pulled her toward the door.
"Come apologize with me!"
At this point, Katerina finally couldn't take it anymore and exploded.
She used all her strength to throw off his hand.
"Enough! Just ten more day
In ten days I'll be married and gone for good, and I'll never have Anything to do with any of you again. I beg you to just get through these ten days without bothering me!"
After speaking, she found strength from somewhere and pushed Ethan and Tony out, then slammed the door shut with a heavy thud, locking it with a click.
The outside instantly fell silent, with no more sound.
After a long while, Ethan's cold voice came through: "Kate, stop acting. We won't believe you." Katerina leaned against the door, her body slowly sliding down as she felt utterly exhausted.
