Chapter 31
Chapter 31
All the people calling out prices looked at Wilbur at once.
They knew that Wilbur’s words were a serious accusation, and the consequences were dire.
If he did not provide an explanation, he would not be able to leave the place.
To be honest, Wilbur needed things like that as well. It could be said that he needed them more than anyone else in the room.
That was why he had focused his spirit energy to investigate the incense holder.
However, after some investigation, he immediately knew that it was a fake. That had disappointed him greatly.
Yet the sight of all these people fighting over a fake made him laugh, only for him to get in trouble for that.
However, he was not scared in the slightest.
Wilbur slowly walked up to the crowd and glanced at Master Jose. ‘Can you tell me your name, and where you live, O‘ Great
Master?”
“My name’s Jose Smithson. I’m from Numbridge Mountain, currently living in Joland City of Strict Province,” Master Jose said
haughtily.
Wilbur nodded. “You look like someone with quite a reputation.”
Mike said coldly, “Of course. Everyone in Stricton Province knows about Master Jose. You’d better have at good reason for
humiliating him and accusing him of selling fakes, or we won’t let you get away with this.”
Wilbur nodded with a smile. “Very well. It seems like you’ve got a rather special relationship with this
Master Jose, too.”
“Well, of course. We’ve worked together many times, and nothing has ever gone wrong in the past. Everyone has seen Master
Jose and knows he can be trusted,” Mike scoffed.
Wilbur glanced at the crowd. “I take it you’ve all known each other for a while?”
“That’s right. Master Jose is more than trusted here,” one of the people in the crowd said.
Just then, John slowly said, “Young man, we invited Master Jose to come here right after finding out about this item. If you can’t
prove that this is a fake, you’re going to have some explaining to do.” Wilbur smiled. “It seems like you really are more than
friends with Master Jose here. What if I end up proving that it’s a fake?”
Jose snorted and said, “If you’re able to do that, I’ll end myself right here.”
The crowd grew abuzz at the words at once.
Wilbur paused for a moment before asking, “Master Jose, please don’t make such a big claim! What if you really end up having
to end your own life?”
“Cut the crap. You’re not going to taint Master Jose’s reputation like this, you piece of garbage. I’ll kill your with my bare hands if
you can’t prove it,” Mike roared.
Wilbur’s expression darkened, and he looked at Mike. “You’re quite a cocky one.”
Mike slammed the table, getting to his feet. ‘Master Jose’s a respectable guest here. Who do you think you are to talk to me like
this?”

Wilbur smirked as he looked at Jose. “Are you sure this is genuine?”
“Of course I am.” Jose looked furious as well.
Wilbur nodded. He was going to go easy on Jose, but it seemed like he was going to have to hand the truth to him the harsh
way.
He stretched out his finger, tapping the incense holder lightly. It let out a crack, then split into two.
All at once, the glow on the incense holder disappeared, revealing a small, dull brown mound inside of it.
