Chapter 521
Chapter 521 Saved
“After all these years, I never realized how handsome Mr. Shaffer is.
“If I’m going to marry in the future, I want to marry a man like Mr. Shaffer.”
Isabella was dizzy and faintly heard Bloom talking. She squinted and saw someone beside her.
Courtney stuffed fruit into her mouth and rolled her eyes. “Then why don’t you want to marry Seth?”
Bloom clicked her tongue and corrected it with a serious expression. “What are you talking about? Mr. Shaffer already has
Isabella.”
Isabella was speechless.
What is all this nonsense?
She opened her mouth and made a sound.
Courtney noticed her movement and quickly called someone in.
“It’s okay. Don’t worry. The doctor said you’re just a bit dehydrated. Rest for a few hours, and you’ll be fine.”
Natasha came in with water, and Courtney helped her up.
Isabella took a sip of water and breathed a sigh of relief. “What are you all doing here?”
“You’re wondering where Seth went, right?” Courtney teased.
Isabella smirked. It was indeed strange. She remembered being at the casino entrance before passing out.
“Dariel got into some dirty business. They’re dealing with it, probably almost cleaned up.” Natasha explained.
Isabella leaned against the head of the bed. “Who are those people?”
“It is an outsourced casino. They always play these tricks, finding suitable goods at the bottom and transporting them directly.”
Courtney said.
Isabella shook her head. “But they’re not afraid of Seth at all.”
“It’s not that they’re not afraid. They’re just out of their minds.” Natasha shrugged and asked, “Did you have a secret meeting
with Seth on the deck last night?”
Isabella was drinking water when she suddenly choked and coughed, wide-eyed.
Courtney patted her back and said with a smile, “The people at the casino saw it and thought Seth was pursuing you. They
wanted to play the hero to save the beauty for him but made a fool of themselves, and Seth took all the credit.”
“You’re too unlucky to walk right into that trap.” Bloom rolled her eyes.
Isabella remembered the situation at the time and recalled the look Steven gave her before she entered the closet. He must
have known about these tricks but chose not to say anything.
“What about Steven?”
“Do you still care about him?” Courtney raised an eyebrow and said, “He’s not in cahoots with the people at the casino, so it’s not
easy to confront him directly. He’s probably upstairs drinking now.”
Isabella felt frustrated, and her disgust for this person rose rapidly.
After chatting, Courtney and Bloom went upstairs, probably to deal with some matters.
Natasha stayed with Isabella, whispering to each other.
The curtains in the room were closed, making it feel like nighttime.
Natasha lay down with Isabella, their heads close together.
“Bella, Seth loves you,” Natasha suddenly said.
Isabella opened her eyes and blinked softly but made no sound.
“When you were in trouble, he went upstairs to join the gambling game first and then sent Jordan to clean up the people lurking
in the shadows at the casino. He took care of all the danger with a two-pronged approach.”
Natasha rested her hands behind her head, sighing, “Do you know what happened to the casino owner in the end?”
Isabella turned her head. “Seriously injured?”
Natasha laughed and leaned in, whispering a few words in Isabella’s ear.
Isabella widened her eyes, somewhat incredulous.
“Seth was furious. He was planning to take action against others, but then a woman came out and said it was she who changed
your clothes. No one else saw your body.
“Otherwise, everyone at that casino would probably be in trouble.”
