Chapter 263 Terry Was Crashed
Terry didn't realize that he was in a risk of life himself, while he was preoccupied with the call with her daughter Tracy. "Bang!"
A bonk sounded, and a black SUV crashed into Terry.
Terry flew a dozen of meters away.
Pedestrians were all shocked by it.
In the VIP room at the top of Spring Garden Restaurant.
Yuri said with remorse, "Baron, I shouldn't have told my dad about his birthday party."
"Why?"
Baron smiled.
"It will be no surprise for him now! I should have stayed here with Tracy, and asked you to stop by and pick him up."
Yuri grinned, "But it's gonna be okay, because we got him a big present, and he may still be surprised for it."
"Dad! Dad! Dad! What's going on?"
Tracy was talking to Terry on the phone, but all of sudden, she screamed out, looking terrified, while Baron was chitchatting with Yuri.
At this moment, Terry's voice vanished, and no one knew Terry was alive or not, after being knocked out by a car.
Tracy was weeping miserably, with her eyes staring blankly, and her phone slipped down from her hand. She had lost her wits. "Sister, why are you weeping? What happened to dad?"
Yuri asked loudly. Seeing her sister crying, she became anxious, running into Tracy, holding her arm.
Baron had a bad feeling. He didn't know what exactly was going on, but he assumed something terrible happened to Terry.
"Hurry up, we are moving to River Construction Materials."
Tracy wanted to be there as quickly as she could, even though she knew it was too late.
She ran out immediately.
On the call with Terry, she heard a car roaring its engine, and then the phone dropping down on the floor. When she called out Terry again, he never answered. "Tracy, what exactly happened to dad? Just tell me."
Yuri chased after Tracy, and asked eagerly.
It was just her assumption, and she had no idea of it. She didn't want her sister to get into a panic, so she just ran wildly without saying anything.
Now, there were only Baron and Lara left in the VIP room.
"Daddy, what's wrong with mom?"
Lara asked softly, holding tightly Baron's neck, for she felt a little scared.
Baron shook his head and said soothingly, "Don't worry, baby, dad's here with you!"
Later, he took out his phone and made a call, "Check what happened just now in front of River Construction Materials and update it to me as soon as possible!" Baron hanged up the call, took Lara, and left the room for River Construction Materials.
When he was in the parking lot, Kris called in, "Terry was hit by a car violently. Not know whether he is alive or not. The ambulance is already on the way!"
"What?"
Baron was really shocked by this news. His face was white. He howled with wrath, "Dig it out the cause, whether it is an accident or a murder! And get him the best doctor!" "Yes, sir!"
Kris replied with determination.
Baron now understood why Tracy didn't tell them what happened to Terry.
Obviously, she just couldn't accept the reality.
"Lara, do you remember Auntie Sarah?"
Baron tried to calm himself down. He looked at Lara gently and said, "Auntie Sarah said she misses you a lot, so how about you sleep with her tonight?"
Lara nodded, "Lara also missed Auntie Sarah, but Lara wants to sleep with mom tonight."
"Dad and mom are in the middle of an important thing tonight. Auntie Sarah is going to take care of you tonight, but I promise you, whenever I finish it, I will go and pick you up, okay?" Baron said gently, comforting her and rubbing her head.
Though Lara was only at age of four, she was quite sensible.
She agreed when she learned her parents were busy, although she didn't want to. She nodded, "Well, then I think I should go to Auntie Sarah's place now."
"Love you, baby!"
Baron kissed Lara's cheek.
He called Sarah at once and asked her to take care of Lara for tonight. After knowing the reason, Sarah agreed without hesitation.
Terry was in the ICU, and no one knew what was going to happen. Tracy and Yuri waited outside, in sadness and anxiety. And for Baron, he also needed to go to the hospital and stay with them. Baron trusted Sarah because she helped to protect and look after Lara for him when he needed her to.
After sending Lara to Sarah, Baron directly went to the hospital. When he arrived, he saw Tracy and Yuri sobbing miserably outside the ICU.
Seeing this, Baron also felt his heart clenching.
Sherry was also there, and she looked extremely grieved with her face wet with tears, which was something Baron didn't expect.
Sherry's crying voice was even louder at the sight of Baron. She went at him, "You bastard! If it wasn't for you to give him a stupid job in that company, he wouldn't be wounded like this!" "It's all your fault! You are a jinx!"
"If Terry is dead, I will kill you!"
"I don't want to see you! Get the hell out of here! Get out!"
Sherry yelled and kicked at Baron, while she was weeping.
"Enough!"
Yuri roared wrathfully, crying, "This is a public place, stop yelling, or you get out!"
At this time, Baron's phone was ringing.
He walked aside into a staircase, taking the call. It was Kris who called in. Kris said, "Mr. Owen, the driver who hit Terry was dead!"
"Dead? How?"
Baron was burning with anger, "Fuck! How the hell did he die? Terry is in a coma now, who am I supposed to ask what happened?"
"Well, the driver is dead, at least you have to tell me how did he die? He died in the car crash or was killed after the crash? Is the whole thing an accident or a murder? Who is the man behind the curtain? I want to know now!"
Baron was raged, because the man rescued in the ICU was Terry Perry, his father-in-law, even though he had seen numerous deaths in his life before.
Kris was freaked out. He hastily replied, "Mr. Owen, the black SUV was out of control, hitting into a lamp-post and exploding after crashing your father-in-law. And the driver was burned to death."
"Dig deeper! The driver's identity, his family, who he contacted before the accident, and his bank account cash flow. I want everything related to him!"
Baron roared loudly at the phone, getting the anger off his chest.
This was the first time he was so mad and lost his head.☐☐☐☐☐☐
