Chapter 197 Terry’s Secret
Baron kept his mouth shut all the time, and observed everything quietly.
He was really satisfied.
He was satisfied not by what Terry did for him, but by the way Terry behaved.
Now, Terry Perry was the General Manager of River Construction Materials. But Sherry did not know it, otherwise she would not treat him in such a disrespectful way.
Although he was just the general manger of River Construction Materials at the moment and Baron was just trying to help him out, Baron now reckoned that Terry might be trusted with another key position. At this moment, Sherry looked stressful.
She was hesitating whether or not to tell Terry the truth that she did lend money to her own brother and sister.
If she did not tell Terry the truth and when Terry found out, he would divorce her.
"Terry was right, I did lend money to my brother and sister, and two houses in this courtyard were funded by me."
After thinking for a while, Sherry decided to put the truth on the table.
Bang!
All of them were shocked as they heard it.
Terry didn't tell lies!
Tracy and Yuri looked upset, although they had already guessed at it. It was pretty hard for them to accept when Sherry admitted it.
"Mom, it was lots of money! I can't believe you lent it to them when Tracy was in need of money. Her company got into a big financial problem and she was carrying Lara at that time."
Yuri screamed indignantly, with eyes bulging, "I now doubt that you are not our mother!"
Sherry felt a shiver, and explained in a hurry, "Yuri, of course, you and Tracy are my daughters! Listen to me, I can explain it! I built the house here, because I wanted to have some properties for you. Your grandpa and uncle promised me that you will inherit them after they die."
"Sherry, what the hell are you talking about?"
Hearing this, Peter burst into anger, and shouted, "Aren't you distributing our family's heritage now? Dad and mom haven't died yet! How come you become so evil-minded?"
"I am the only son, and I will inherit this courtyard! When I die, Wilkes will inherit from me, not your daughter!"
"Besides, those two houses were funded by myself, and I didn't borrow a single dollar from any of you!"
Peter was flipping out and denied he borrowed money from Sherry.
Amber added on instantly, "Sister, how could you incriminate Peter and me like this? I admit that I have borrowed three hundred thousand dollars from Tracy, but I have never borrowed from you!" "Shut up..." (Coughing)
Richard, who sat on the head of the table, now was raging. He shouted, and a burst of violent cough followed.
"Dad!"
Other members of the family surrounded him nervously.
"Sherry Perry, see what you did? Dad was so angry with you!"
Peter goggled at Perry, and turned to Terry, "If something not good happen to dad, I will kick your ass!"
Baron pulled him back when Terry was about to argued.
Terry then suppressed his outrage.
Richard just got hit by asthma, and was getting better after taking some pills.
"Dad, are you feeling better now?"
Sherry consoled breathlessly.
Richard waved his hand, and said, "From today on, I am out of your family issues. I sacrificed so much for your family, but I did not get any pity from you, and now I am the bad guy!" "Baron, you crap, it was all because of you! You get out of here! Now!"
Marry Jackson got close to Baron, and yelled loudly at him.
Tracy wanted to fight back, but Baron gestured her not to, "I suppose it is better you and Lara stay here, and dad and me go and stay in a hotel for tonight, and we meet you at the wedding tomorrow." Baron could tell that Tracy was in awkward situation now, for she could not go either way.
They were all her family. They could not fall out with each other.
It was better to leave for Terry because it would be more humiliating to stay since he just did something unproper.
"Baron, I will go with you."
Yuri said without hesitation.
Baron shook his head gently, and looked seriously at her, "You go nowhere, you stay here to take good care of Tracy, otherwise they may bully her!"
Yuri felt a little bit jealous of her sister when she watched Baron speaking sinlessly to her. After a split second, she nodded, "Don't you worry about her? I will keep my eyes on her, and no one can even get close to her!"
"Great!"
Baron dropped Lara down, and turned to Terry, "Dad, let's move!"
Then, Terry and Baron left the Zouch Courtyard.
Baron drove his car and head to the downtown of the city.
Zouch Courtyard was in rural area with a big courtyard and two villas. But it was only valued around two million dollars. To Baron, it was just a small amount of money.
"Why did we go there? For being humiliated?"
Terry felt really upset and complained about it.
Baron gave a wee smile, and said, "Dad, no matter what we just were blamed on, you are the general manager of Rivers Construction Materials, you should not be upset."
Terry shook his head, and muttered bitterly, "I was mad at Sherry Perry, the bitch. How come she could be so cunning and stealthily do something bad to us? Didn't you see how disrespectfully the Zouch family treated us?"
"When the Perry family was in its golden age, the Zouch family acted so politely to us. But now, the Perry family is in a downfall, they disrespect us, don't you think they are a little bit short-sighted?"
"I went to the Zouch Courtyard for the sake of my wife, Sherry. But I won't go to the Zouch Courtyard again, I swear!"
"Baron, please hear me out..."
Terry kept talking about the Zouch family all the way along.
Baron just listened, and echoed to help Terry to vent his anger.
"Baron, you have to be on guard against Sherry, all she wants is money, she can do anything for money, and you should not let her to move in the Peak Hotel again!"
Terry warned Baron, in a solemn tone.
Baron felt a little surprised, for he reckoned Terry might have something hidden from him.
"I got you!"
Baron said.
He noticed that Sherry was scared to get divorced with Terry.
Before, Terry used divorce to force her to leave the Peak Hotel.
And again, just now, Terry used divorce to make her to speak the truth out.
Sherry didn't want to get divorced with Terry not because of love.
If it was for love, how come she never went to visit Terry when he was in the hospital?
Baron had a wild guess, but he dared not to asked further, for it was something huge.
If he was right, it would hit Tracy and Yuri badly.
"Baron, there is one thing you should know."
After keeping mouth shut for a few minutes, Terry spoke, looking at Baron, "Actually, Sherry is not..."☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
