Invincible Heir

Chapter 157 The Mean Man

She was Sarah. When Lara was kidnapped last time and Baron went to save her, Sarah had been detained for a month.

Hudson threatened to hurt Lara and asked Sarah to have sex with her. She was a kind-hearted woman who just met Lara. Unexpectedly, she agreed for the sake of Lara.

Baron had been thankful to the kind woman. He gave her his phone number, but didn't realize that she didn't contact him even though she encountered such a trouble.

"Doctor Steward!"

Following Steward to the office, Baron began to call.

"You are?"

Steward looked at Baron in confusion.

She was a doctor over 50, wearing a pair of presbyopic glasses. Her photo was hung over the door of the office.

"Hello, Doctor Steward. I am Sarah's friend. I heard your conversation and want to ask you whether she meets any trouble." Baron said.

She sat on the chair and pointed at the front one, beckoning Baron to sit down.

She sighed and rejoined, "Sarah's mom suffers from urinaemia and is now under medical treatment. The illness can be under control with the help of dialysis."

"But it is not a once-for-all solution. It is better to find a suitable kidney for her. However, the expense including the surgery and the debt to the hospital far exceeds their budget."

"Alas! An average family will just collapse if they encounter this disease."

Seeing the doctor's look full of gratitude, Baron was deeply moved and soon thought of his mom.

Five years ago, she also suffered from urinaemia and died because they could not afford the treatment. When Baron borrowed five hundred thousand dollars and rushed to the hospital, it was too late and he didn't have a chance to see her mom before she passed away. He failed.

"Doctor Steward, I want to donate fifty million dollars to the hospital to help establish a Urinaemia Foundation, to help patients like Sarah's mom. She will be the first person to enjoy this assistance!" Baron said earnestly.

Steward stood up quickly and asked in excitement, "You mean to donate fifty million to our hospital for the establishment of a Urinaemia Foundation?"

Baron smiled, "I am only the sponsor and I hope you will keep the secret."

"Great!"

The doctor was finally assured that Baron did want to donate fifty million and she said thrillingly, "People will suffer less misery if there will be more benevolent helpers like you. I will take you to see the director if you have made up your mind."

Looking at the exhilarated doctor, Baron became serious and followed him to the director's office.

The director visited Baron in person and negotiated the details of setting up the Foundation with Baron. After all, standardized procedures should be undergone so that the Foundation could run smoothly. "Director, I really appreciate your work for the subsequent affairs. It is not good for me to muddle in." After the negotiation, Baron stood up and left. The director sent him off the lift.

Then Baron was relieved and felt more relaxed.

The story five years ago distressed Baron, as his mom died of urinaemia. He now wanted to establish the Foundation in an effort to help numerous patients. "Mom, you must be happy if you get the news!" Baron said to himself.

Thinking of his mom, Baron also thought of the Owen family. A gust of roar surged.

"You will have to pay for what you did to us!" Baron's eyes were full of bitterness.

Mom wouldn't pass away in the hospital for lack of money, if the family didn't take her place in the Brone Group and expelled her and her son out of the family. "Sarah, what's your idea?"

"Her illness is getting worse. It couldn't be cured if delayed."

"If you marry me, I will be responsible for every cost of her treatment!"

Baron was going to Terry's ward, while he suddenly heard a sound passing over the stairs.

He frowned and he was sure that someone was pestering Sarah. It would be inhumane for him to force Sarah to marry him.

"Bill, I have told you that we are just friends. I appreciate your kind heart to help me and I will give the money back to you as soon as possible. But if you come here to pester me, I am sorry!" Sarah's voice sounded.

"Sarah, I am confused. As the son of the Davis family, plenty of women long to marry me across Cona, as well as Nona. Why don't you even consider marrying me?"

Bill became unhappy and grabbed her arm, "Tell me if you have a crush on someone!"

"Go away!"

Sarah broke off Bill and rejoined in a weak tone, "Bill, I have to tell you two things: I will never marry someone I dislike; it is none of your business whether I have a crush on someone."

Bill was extremely embarrassed and said in a bitter tone, "Aren't you worried about the cost of your mom's medical treatment?"

Sarah felt a great pain in her heart. Her trouble would vanish if she married Bill. But she was clear about his character.

Someone like him wasn't her cup of tea, and she loathed him a great deal.

It would be a lifelong torment for her to marry him.

Sarah kept silent and Bill seemed to see the silver lining. He hurried to say, "Sarah, trust me. I love you only. You will become the happiest woman around the world if you marry me!"

"I don't want to mull over this matter before my mom recovers."

Sarah then turned around and left.

"Sarah!"

Bill was enraged and exposed his true ugly personality, "You damning bitch! It is your luck to be chosen by me. You dare to refuse! Believe it or not, your mom will be dispelled from the hospital once I give an order."

"Bill, you dare!"

Sarah's eyes turned red and she was mad. She knew Bill and she was clear that he could do so.

"You know well!" Bill gave a cold smile.

"You went too far to threaten a lady."

Instantly, Baron turned up and came over near Sarah. He squinted at Bill and spoke.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
