I Wish

Chapter 8

Chapter 8

“Let’s get a divorce. I’ve already drafted the divorce papers and they will be at the house tomorrow. Remember to come back and sign

them.”

I didn’t wait for either of their reactions, nor did I give Damon a chance to speak. I walked straight out.

I grabbed my phone and requested leave from the department head before running out of the hospital.

Damon followed me. He ran much faster than I did and caught up with me just outside the hospital, pulling me into his arms.

“Ashy, you…”

“Damon, get lost!” I turned around and slapped him hard across the face.

Damon tried to say something, but I stomped on his foot hard.

He cried out in pain and instinctively let go.

home.

As I hurriedly packed my things and was about

to leave, I ran into Damon, who had rushed

back.

He was sweating profusely; it was clear he was really worried. But seeing him only irritated me; I just wanted to get away as quickly as possible.

He scooped me up and threw me onto the sofa.

My suitcase fell to the ground with a thud.

Before I could speak, Damon kissed me. His kiss was fierce and painful.

I cursed at him, “Get off me, you bastard! You’re disgusting!”

“I’m sorry, honey, please don’t divorce me.” It was rare to see him back down recently.

But Damon, I’m the one who’s heartbroken.

I shoved him away in disgust.

As I pulled my suitcase and walked out the door, Damon called after me, “Are you really leaving?”

I didn’t stop; I left without hesitation.
