Chapter 241
Chapter 241 Interrogating
Harper simply smiled and changed the topic, engaging Eleanor in light-hearted chatter until the lunch break ended, then returned to her apartment.
After a refreshing shower and a change of clothes, exhaustion from the previous night caught up with her, and she reluctantly lay down to rest.
At the Martin family residence, Benjamin wrapped up his work and headed towards Harper's apartment. However, before he could leave the office, Curtis approached him with urgency. "Mr. Martin, they've found the person and taken them to the police station."
Benjamin felt a little relieved and then inquired, "Have you notified Larry?"
"Mr. Ellison is aware and is on his way to the police station. Should we join him? After all, Ms. Jones is your wife's friend. What are your thoughts?" Curtis suggested carefully.
Benjamin pondered silently for a moment before responding, "Put off all appointments this afternoon for now."
Curtis nodded in acknowledgment and dialed a number as they headed to the elevator.
Approximately thirty minutes later, Benjamin arrived at the police station.
Curtis' contacts had been awaiting his arrival, and they promptly briefed him. "Mr. Martin, he's in the interrogation room."
"Where's Larry?" Benjamin inquired.
"Mr. Ellison just went in."
In the interrogation room, Larry had already rolled up his sleeves, leaving only his black shirt, as he aggressively confronted the suspect.
The police officers were all left with some excuses, allowing Larry to interrogate the suspect alone.
The man was covered with bruises. Benjamin ignored that and asked, "Tell us where is Annie."
"I don't... I really don't know, I don't know her....." The man responded with a shaking voice.
"Stop lying!" Larry grabbed the suspect's collar and punched him hard.
Benjamin saw that, and he warned calmly, "If you keep doing that, you might kill him before you get anything useful."
But Larry had no intention of ending.
Larry continued his aggression,
kicking the suspect several times before pausing momentarily at
Benjamin's presence. Frustratednet
Larry exclaimed, "Benjamin, telkme what to do! If this happened to Harper..."
Benjamin's icy gaze halted Larry mid-sentence. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that."
Ignoring Larry's outburst, Benjamin
observed the police interrogation
process. Through relentless
questioning and photo identification, the suspect eventually divulged the truth.
"I did give her a ride. I considered taking advantage of her vulnerability, but she was too fierce. I had no
intention of getting into trouble She just got out of the car and

disappeared," the suspect confessed.
With the suspect's statement in hand, they commenced a search for Annie.
Within half an hour, Curtis delivered news of a breakthrough. "Mr. Martin, we've located information on Ms. Jones!"
Benjamin instructed Curtis to inform Larry and then drove to Harper's apartment himself.
He knocked on the door of Harper's apartment. She was still sleepy. She looked at him, her eyes very calm, and her tone even calmer, "What do you want?"
Though Benjamin frowned subconsciously, he chose not to comment further. "There's news about Annie," he relayed instead.
