I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 222

Chapter 222 To the Hospital

"What's wrong? Are you not available? Then you call Grandpa and explain it yourself," Benjamin said as he got up. He picked up the car keys and glanced at Harper, who was standing still. "If you still care about his kindness to you, then come with me to the hospital now."

Harper hesitated for a moment, then followed along.

She was available. She just felt surprised. "How did Grandpa know that I'm with Benjamin right now?"

She shook her head. She naturally wouldn't ask Benjamin directly.

After arriving at the parking lot, she said to Benjamin, "I'll drive myself to the hospital. I need to go back to the office later, so it's more convenient this way."

Benjamin stopped in his tracks and looked at her, questioning, "If that's the case, why did you agree to go with me? If I were you, I would just refuse, then you don't have to act with me like this." Harper looked at Benjamin in disbelief. "How could you have such thoughts? If I drive myself, I can go straight back to my company later, and I won't have to take a detour. I just simply think so." "You don't need to explain to me, after all, you have already made up your mind."

After speaking, Benjamin turned and walked towards his car.

Harper felt helpless and didn't understand why he was unhappy again.

However, in the end, she still drove her car to the hospital.

They arrived at the parking lot around the same time. After Benjamin got out of the car, he walked quickly, with Harper chasing after him all the way. He slowed down his pace until he reached the door of the ward, waiting for Harper to enter the ward together.

Paul was very happy to see them appear together, and even when he saw Benjamin, he wasn't as angry anymore. Paul said, "A man can only earn respect by loving his wife."

They all understood what Paul meant.

However, Benjamin, as the hero, did not give any response.

Harper smiled and asked, "Grandpa, you seem to be in much better spirits. How do you feel?"

"When you came, I felt very so good that I can live for another ten years."

"No nonsense," Harper interrupted Paul with mock anger and said firmly, "You surely have at least another thirty years to live."

Paul joked, "So I'll become a zombie then?"

Harper also smiled helplessly.

Scott and Lily had been with Paul these days. They found that only when Harper was around Paul would talk so much and be in such a good mood. Benjamin looked coldly at Paul and Harper, thinking, "She didn't do anything, but how is she able to make Paul so happy?"

The room fell briefly silent. Paul looked at Harper, then glanced at Benjamin, and asked, "Harper, your grandmother came to Mayby, but why didn't you tell us? Are you not treating us as a family?"

Harper was slightly taken aback, not expecting Paul to know.

She quickly explained, "Grandpa, I didn't think that way. Because my grandmother came suddenly, and she is not feeling well, so I haven't had a chance to tell you yet!"

Lily also said, "Harper, since your

grandmother is here, let's invite her

to our house for a meal. If she's not used to it, then we can just eat a meal outside. You and Benjamin have been married for over a year. Your grandmother took care of you as you grew up. We should express our gratitude to her in person!"

Lily's words made Harper feel her sincerity and respect for Eleanor very clearly.

Harper felt both touched and happy.

Although Eleanor and Jennifer were not related by blood, they had known each other for many years, and Eleanor had taken care of Harper, Jennifer's daughter, for so many years. Even so, Jennifer couldn't treat Eleanor as Lily did.
