I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 183

Chapter 183 Deep Love

Lauren gazed at Benjamin, her eyes tearful and her whole face filled with faint aggravation.

Benjamin stood in front of her, tall and strong. Even in the daytime, the corridors of the hospital were still lit with snow-white lights. The light shone on his cold face, making him look more and more distant. He stuck one hand in his pocket and glanced down at Lauren for a long moment before saying, "I wouldn't care what she said. But Lauren, you know very well what kind of relationship we have today." Lauren froze, the tears in her eyes more evident.

But to Harper, the two of them stood there looking at each other with deep love in their eyes.

She froze in place, not knowing what to do.

Lauren pressed her lips together and looked up at him. "Benjamin, can't you do what you promised me? You said you'd marry me. Are you going back on your word?"

Benjamin said calmly, "Lauren, are you sure you want to talk to me about this at this time?"

"But I want answers, and I want to know what's really going on in your mind. Is it because of Harper that you don't want to marry me anymore? Benjamin, I'm the way I am because of you. I'm not whole anymore. My future is poured into you. You can't leave me behind."

Lauren was a little emotional and looked at Benjamin with an even more sad expression. She looked really inferior.

He narrowed his eyes and said calmly, "It's got nothing to do with her."

"Really? Benjamin, you're lying to me, aren't you? Are you in love with Harper?"

"Lauren, it has nothing to do with whether I love Harper or not. Don't drag Harper into what's going on between us."

Benjamin's attitude was firm. His clean, quiet face was noble and refined, but his voice carried an insistence that no one could question or refute.

Lauren was even less confident

because of it and looked at him with

tears in her eyes. "Benjamin, tell me. You don't love Harper at all, do You're only still married to her

because you want her toel.not

baby so you can explain it to your family, and only then can we be together forever. That's what you're

planning, isn't it?"

Her mind went blank, and she just felt a dullness in her heart. She really wasn't happy if she didn't get certain answers.

Lauren looked at Benjamin's handsome face in front of her. In fact, she had always been very familiar with him. But she didn't know when she had started to feel unfamiliar with him.

She waited a long time and didn't get a response from Benjamin.

Harper clearly heard their conversation. Her expression was very indifferent, and her hands were even subconsciously clenched.

She thought, "Benjamin hasn't responded. Does that mean he's acquiescing?

So it's really like Lauren said. He did it because he wanted me to have a baby. So everything he's doing now is because of the baby?"

Harper pressed her lips together lightly and sneered.

At that moment, the elevator doors opened again.

"Excuse me, miss, where is the cafeteria?"

The woman's voice wasn't loud, but it stood out in the quiet corridor. Both Lauren and Benjamin took a step back and saw Harper, who was still standing in the same spot, not reacting.

As if frozen there, it took Harper several seconds to respond, and then she turned directly toward the elevator the next second.

She pressed the elevator buttons quickly, just wanting to get out of here now.

Since the elevator had only just

stopped on this floor, she was in the elevator in almost ten seconds or so. With that, she immediately pressed the button for the floor where Annie was hospitalized.
