His Soul & His Shame

Ezra's Pov:

I can't believe Fay is sitting beside me and i'm taking her on a date. Date! I never in my dreams thought I would be a date kind of guy but with Fay i would do anything even if I have to change into a fucking clown then I will happily do it. Being with Fay makes me a different person and keep my demons at bay. She hasn't seen the real me and i am not planning on showing it to her because when i'm with her i forgot that side of me who is cold, calculated and ruthless. "Where are we going, Ezra!" Fay bounced on her seat making her dress to slightly ride up her thigh making her milky skin available for my eyes.

I was on the brink of losing my control when we were kissing in Fay's apartment but I need to do everything according to her and I want to give her a fairy tale she always dreamed about and ate my ears off when we were kids. "Baby girl! Slow down! It won't be a surprise if I tell you." She pouted her pink lips making me chuckle.

I never believed in relationships and love and I don't know if I still know what love is but I feel with Fay and that's enough for me and I don't think I will ever be able to feel like this for anyone and the main thing is I can't live without her. She is practically the air I breathe.

I may sound corny but that is the truth.

I did so many things to hurt her, I tried so hard to push her away from me as well as never let her go completely selfishly but right now seeing her sit beside me happily I feel happiness seep through the cracks my parents left behind.

I was the way because of them, they never truly showed what love is, what relationships are, what human feelings and emotions are as they are too busy to cheat on each other and fight with each other.

Fay teached me everything, an ounce of the human I am is because of her and her parents.

"Don't pout! I will kiss the fuck out of you." That made her send a scowl my way and turned her head towards the window watching the scenery with fascination.

The road changed outside into sand and a vast area. She doesn't know what this place is but she will love it.

I parked the car and got out before she could come out. I opened her door and helped her to get out.

"You need to turn around so I can tie a blind fold." I said, turning her around and pulling out the blind fold from my jean pocket.

"What! This is so cheesy, Ezra!" She laughed, somewhat confused and dumbfounded that i am doing this all.

"I want to make this date beautiful and like you always said you wanted a fairytale so I'm giving you your fairy tale." A soft gasp reached my ears, making me grasp her shoulders and pulling her back to me so I could hug her and tell her without words that I will give everything she wants and deserves.

"Ready for the surprise!" I asked, tying the blind fold around her eyes and kissing her head.

"As always!" She answered, i hugged her from behind and started guiding her towards our destination.

She didn't hesitate nor felt afraid while walking blindfolded which showed she trusts me to not let her fall and I will never make her fall ever.

"Are we near a beach? Or on the beach?" Fay sniffed and took a lungful of breath and a squeal cake out of her mouth. She will always be that fifteen year old girl. "Take off your heels now! Don't want them to get sand on them." I laughed at her happy jump and helped her to remove the heels and placed them to the side.

"Take off the blind fold, Ezra! I already knew it was the beach so your surprise is over." She tried to remove the fold but I stopped her from untying it.

"No, it's not the only surprise, Babygirl! It's just part of the surprise. You need to keep the blind fold." I started moving her onto the sand and took her to the place where I wanted her to stand.

I slowly untied the blind fold and stood beside her to see her expression when she sees what I have planned for her, for us.

I rented out this beach and made someone to hang the fairy lights, set up a table, flowers and a bed to chill. I made my chef prepare her favorite food and also bottles of red wine and dessert.

"Oh my god! It's...it's beautiful." Fay turned towards me with a teary smile but her beautiful eyes widened when she saw me on my knees in front of her.

"W.. what are you doing?" She whispered, her tears flowing freely and my eyes teared seeing her looking so beautiful and gorgeous. She always saw me at my worst and vulnerable and still accepted me with her whole heart.

I hurt her so damn much but she is still giving me chances upon chances.

"Iam so fucking sorry for all the times I have hurt you, Fay! Sorry won't cut the hurt but I'm still sorry and I will always make it up to you for the hurt you felt because of me." She was sobbing silently without caring about her makeup and closed the gap between us and came down to my height on her knees.

"I forgive you, Ezra! People may call me crazy but we are always meant to be together. I have seen you when you were broken and alone, we were each other's strength and weaknesses." She said in between her sobs and like always I started sobbing with her holding her tight in the fear of losing her.

"Asking you out to be my girlfriend will be an insult to our friendship and bond, Babygirl. So I'm asking if you are willing to take me as your life partner and husband?" She literally froze in my arms and we are still on our knees. She didn't have any expression on her face other than a blank one making my heart race.

What if she says no!

I knew the second I realized that Fay is more than a friend that I will make her my wife. I was so sure that she would say yes and I don't know how to react if she rejects my proposal.

I have already talked with Fay's parents and got their approval and I bought a ring too but nothing matters than her consent and happiness.

If she doesn't see a happy ending with me and a family with me then it's okay i will always be her bestfriend.
