His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 229

Nova froze, her smile slowly fading. She looked at Dillon, her face a mix of confusion and disbelief. "You're not here to pick me up? What do you mean?" "I'm here to see if you've taken anything that isn't yours."

Dillon walked over to Nova's luggage, methodically unpacking and inspecting each item.

Feeling insulted, Nova forgot about her mobility issues and shoved Dillon. "Dillon, you've got some nerve. Aren't you afraid I'll tell Casper about this?"

Dillon kicked the suitcase lightly, scoffing. "Nova, do you really think Mr. Casper is unaware of the dirty tricks you've pulled?"

"The only reason he hasn't shown up and cut you off completely is out of past affection, sparing you some dignity. You better appreciate that."

He bent down and took away the painting. "Mr. Casper is keeping tabs. When you'll repay it depends on his mood."

Dillon turned to leave.

Nova blocked him, glaring. "What have I done? Explain yourself."

"If you want clarity, go find Mr. Casper." Dillon brushed off Nova's outstretched arms. "Don't say I didn't warn you-you might be alive when you see him, but leaving the same way might not be so certain." "You're threatening me?"

Nova had been by Casper's side for

years; she was his heartthrob. He had done so much for her and had unhesitatingly stood by her side.. Even if she had committed unforgivable acts, he wouldn't hold it against her. Dillon was merely blustering here.

"Dillon, you're just a hound Casper keeps. Do you really see yourself as his confidant? I'm telling you, you'd better show me some respect. Otherwise, the day I become Mrs. Welton, you'll be the first oned deal

with."

Dillon raised an eyebrow, sneering scornfully.

Nova eventually made a scene at Welton International to finally see Casper after a long time. Her eyes were brimming with tears as if she had been greatly hurt, her lips trembling.

Casper coldly lifted his gaze, his eyes filled with visible disgust. Pointing at Nova in front of him, he asked Dillon, "What's this about?"

"Mr. Casper, Ms. Nova thinks I didn't treat her right, so she came to seek your judgment."

"Casper, what's happening? Why are you driving me away? Where am I supposed to live? If I have to move to the Welton Estate, shouldn't someone help me move my stuff?" Nova rushed towards Casper without holding back.

Casper looked up, his gaze sharp as a blade, intimidating. Dillon quickly stepped forward to stop Nova. "Just stand there."

Nova glared at Dillon, then turned to Casper with a sense of grievance. "Casper, look at Dillon. He rummaged through my things, showing no respect at all. Casper, you have to stand up for me."

Stand up for her? Casper slightly frowned. Even Dillon laughed.

"Ms. Nova, I think you should stop embarrassing yourself here. Mr. Casper is very busy and doesn't have time to entertain you. Please leave," Dillon said with a hint of impatience.

"I won't leave." Nova's eyes were red.

She choked up, looking at Casper sitting in front of her. "Why are you doing this to me? Have you forgotten? We were meant to be engaged. Even though the ceremony wasn't completed...this shouldn't be the outcome. What exactly happened?"
