His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 207

"I think you're talking more nonsense each day," Casper said, his once calm demeanor now unsettled by her words. "Have you been skipping your meds? I'll get the doctor to change your prescription later." "Casper," she continued to smile, her dimples making her even more enchanting. "If there's a next life, I hope we don't meet again."

Casper took a deep breath, trying to steady his turbulent emotions. "You... just get some rest."

Casper turned and walked away.

He wasn't sure if it was Eliza's bizarre statements or the new suit that made his neck itch so intolerably. In frustration, he took it off and tossed it to Dillon.

Dillon caught it swiftly. "Mr. Casper, are you heading home or back to the office?"

"Home? Is there anyone waiting for me there? Damn it, being married feels no different than being single." He slammed the car door shut, unsure of where this rage came from.

Dillon's heart skipped a beat. He quickly slipped into the passenger seat.

"Mr. Casper, are you not doing well? Maybe we should bring Mrs. Welton back home," Dillon suggested hesitantly.

Casper pinched the bridge of his nose, his expression darkening. "Bring her back so she can aggravate me more? She will go to those clubs and let men touch and kiss her, and even go to hotel rooms with them..." Casper was so furious he felt like grinding his teeth to dust. "Dillon, wouldn't you be angry if your wife did that?"

Indeed, Dillon would be angry.

Casper had every right to be angry. This wasn't about love or lack thereof; it was about pride.

"She's young and foolish; give her a chance to apologize."

"Foolish?" Casper sighed deeply. "When she's angry, she's anything but foolish."

The car started slowly, heading toward Welton International.

...

Since the last incident at the hotel with Eliza, Aaron had been confined by the Martin family.

Chelsea visited the Martin family's hospital but couldn't find Aaron there. After waiting at the entrance for a white and preparing to leave, a dark van pulled up. Two young men got out first, followed by Felix supporting his grandfather

"Dr. Martin," Chelsea hurried over, apologizing, "Can I have a moment of your time?"

Aaron handed Jeffrey to his subordinates. "Take my grandfather inside; I'll be right there."

Aaron turned to Chelsea. "Chelsea? What's going on?"

"Dr. Martin really need your help," Chelsea said, explaining Eliza's situation succinctly. "That's the gist of it. She asked me to seek your help. Would you be willing, DD artin?"

Aaron was slightly taken aback. "Casper... he really sent Eliza to Mercy Hospital?"

Shock and astonishment were inadequate to describe his feelings.

"Yes."

"He must be out of his mind," Aaron gasped, "Doesn't he know that staying in a place like that for too long will ruin a person?" Did Casper not know? Wasn't this the outcome he wanted?

Chelsea pressed her lips together slightly. "He's getting engaged to Nova on the 18th. If you're willing to help Elle, Dr. Martin..."

"There's nothing more to discuss."

His gaze toward Chelsea was

resolute. "I'm willing to help Eliza, but you'bhave to give me a few days to prepare."

"Of course." Chelsea nodded gratefully. "Dr. Martin, if Eliza knew you were willing to help, she'd be so thankful."

"I don't need thanks, I just want..." His gaze darkened, becoming less clear. "...her to be happy."
