Chapter Prologue
Six years ago Harlow was living with her six older brothers. She was the youngest sibling and the only girl. She grew up being the princess of the family and was adored by her dad especially. He had always wanted a little girl and her parents continued to have children until he finally got his princess. His wife though, never wanted to have a little girl so she wouldn't have to compete for her husband's attention. Her dad would come home everyday before Harlow had to be in bed just to tuck her in and read a bed time story to her no matter how busy work and the club was. He was in fact president of the snakes MC club. His boys would be taking over soon seeing his eldest son was turning 21 in a few months.
Hendrix was the eldest boy who was 20 and had been brought up with the club knowing he would one day be the president when his father stepped down. He was 6ft 5 and built like a brick shit house. He spent 2 hours at the gym everyday training with the brothers from the club, his biological brothers and his dad. He had brown hair which he shaggy and worn in a bun at the base of his neck and hazel eyes. He had a full beard which he trimmed to keep neat and tidy. He had a full sleeve of tattoos, the most important tattoo he had was over his heart and it was an oath to his family especially Harlow.
Next there was Kody he was 19. He would be taking over as Hendrix's VP. He was 6ft 4 and again built like a brick shit house. He had brown hair and brown eyes like his dad and spent much of his time at the club learning the ropes and keeping fit. He had several tattoos and was working up to the full sleeve. The VP tattoo would be added soon.
Then there were the twins Jax and Jett there were 18 years old and had just finished high school. They both work at the tattoo shop which was owned by the club. They were building up a reputation and had waiting lists for people to get tattooed by them. They had only been there for 3 months but were booked solid for the next 6 months. They were not identical Jett was taller than Jax even though he was the second born. Jax was 6ft 3 and had dark blonde hair like his mother and brown eyes like his dad. He had a full sleeve of tattoos including one dedicated to his little sister who he missed dearly. Jett only had the family oath tattooed on him and Harlow's name over his heart. He was 6ft 4 and the younger twin by 45 minutes. He was the calm one out of the two of them. Jett looked more like his father than Jax did. Jett had the same colour hair as his father, brown and the same eyes. They helped at the club when needed but preferred to be in the background.
Cameron was 17 and 6ft 2 but told everyone he was still growing. He was heavily involved in his footy club. He loved playing rugby league and hoped to get a contract with the NRL. His coach and the club had high hopes for him. He was good and could read the play before it happened. He could pass as Hendrix twin if he was older minus the full beard of course. He trained 5 days a week with his club and spent the weekends after his game with his mates. He had nothing to do with the club which his brothers and father didn't mind as long as he was happy.
Leo was the youngest brother at 15 and everyone thought he would be the last of the Walker siblings. He was 6ft even and was the quietest of all the boys. He didn't like sport or training, he liked computers and coding. He was bloody good at it too and had helped his dad out several times with the club business when they needed something hacked or footage from street cameras. He had blonde hair and hazel eyes like his mothers. He adored Harlow especially because it meant he wasn't the youngest sibling.
Harlow wasn't planned, in fact her mother was on birth control when she fell pregnant with Harlow. Harlow looked like her father with brown hair but she had green eyes and a cute button nose. Her mother never wanted Harlow and was in fact jealous of her. Harlow was left to be brought up by her brothers and the brothers at the club. She knew to avoid her mother at all costs because it would only end with another slap or nasty words being spat at her. Her brothers had tried to protect her as much as possible and so did her father. Her father, Jeff, had kicked her mother out several times but always took her back after she would beg and promise she was getting help. Her mother Rebecca blamed it on postnatal depression but it wasn't it was Rebecca being jealous of her own daughter.
When Jeff caught wind of what Rebecca was doing again, he knew he had to get Harlow out of the way and safe. She was a 10 year old kid who didn't deserve what her mother was doing. He had come home and found Harlow locked outside in the pouring rain some afternoons, he had also found Harlow with her hair butchered with her mother standing around laughing with scissors in her hands. He and his sons couldn't always be around to run interference. He had to get rid of Rebecca but first he had to get Harlow somewhere safe. He sent her to his sisters place just after Christmas telling her she would be back before school started the next year. During that time he would end things with his wife and kick Rebecca to the curb and then bring his princess home where she belonged and she would be safe.
After the first 5 weeks Rebecca had still been hanging round causing problems for the club and the Walker family so Jeff and his boys had decided Harlow would stay with Jeff's sister a little longer for her own protection and she would come back after the first term of school. He flew out to speak to his princess who cried to come home but eventually understood and agreed to start the first term of year 5 at a new school as long as her father promised she would be home by her birthday in April which he did. Things got away from Jeff and it had been 6 years of Harlow living with his sister Anita. He was no longer the president of the club but was still heavily involved. His sons were now in charge of the club and ran the largest chain of tattoo stores in Australia. He had tried to reach out to Anita and Harlow several times but neither of them would answer the phone to him anymore.
Harlow had long given up on her family ever coming back for her. She instead rebelled against everyone. She had good grades but never turned up to school instead spending most of her time with her mates she made in primary school. Anita understood her niece and never tried to pull her in line. What child wouldn't rebel when her own family seemed to have forgotten about her? She was also busy with her own life which never included children. All she asked Harlow to do was stay out of trouble with the law and so far she had.
