Harlow

Hendrix's POV

I heard people coming down the stairs and looked to see Harlow followed by Dean, Leo and Kody. "Harlow I'm so sorry. I didn't think" I said to her but she didn't acknowledge me and kept walking to the door. "Where are you going?" I asked following her to the door but she just ignored me. By this stage the twins and Cameron were watching the interaction too. "Someone tell me what the fuck is going on?" I yelled causing Harlow to jump back. "Shit Harlow, I'm sorry" I rushed out stepping towards her, she took a step back. Dean stepped in front of Harlow blocking me from getting to my sister, grabbing hold of Harlow's hand "come on let's go. Leo we will meet you guys outside" he said before taking Harlow outside.

"What the fuck is going on?" I asked. "Dean is taking Harlow for ice cream. She refuses to eat and I think it's cause she doesn't want to be here" Kody replied while Leo looked like he was going to punch me in the face. "Why wouldn't she want to be here?" Cameron asked. "Oh I don't fucken know. Maybe there is the fact that for 6 years she believed we all abandoned her, or the fact that we forced her back here, then there is the hole putting her in the last room she was in with our mother before we sent her away or the fact grizzly bear over here manhandled her and shoved her in a room she is petrified of. If any of you had of bothered to actually take notice of her properly you would realise she never wants to be here. This is the house of her nightmares which she still has several times a night" Leo yelled out before storming out of the house followed closely by Kody.

"She has nightmares still?" I asked no one. "Fuck" I screamed out. How did I not know? Why didn't my brothers tell me? "Did any of you know?" I ask my other three brothers, they all shook there head no. "When she gets home I think we all need to sit down and talk. I fucked up. I think we should also let dad know" I told them. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called my father, he needed to know because Harlow needed help and he was her legal guardian. "Dad it's Harlow" I said before he said he would be right over and hung up. Within 10 minutes dad was walking in the front door.

We all sat down and I explained what had happened and how Harlow reacted. He was furious with me and I couldn't really blame him. When I said it all out loud I was furious with myself. I had done to her what our mother use to do. I also hadn't paid attention to what was happening just assuming she was fine when she clearly wasn't. Dad also had a go at the twins for not stepping in to stop me or to check on her. They apologised and said that they weren't use to being around anymore or looking out for anyone but themselves. Dad also suggested that Harlow choose which room she was in or even moving her out of the house for good. We all decided to wait for Harlow to get back to ask her what she wanted.

Two hours later Kody, Leo and Harlow walked in. Harlow seemed nervous and was holding onto Leo's hand tightly. "Harlow can you come into the kitchen please?" Our father asked. "What the fuck is he doing here?" Leo barks out causing Harlow to jump. How could we not notice the massive change in her since coming back here? It's only been 10 days and she is a shell of herself since being back in this house. "Sorry Harl's" Leo says to her. I walk over to Harlow and crouch down. "Harlow, can we please talk?" I ask her before I notice the marks on her arms from where she struggled to get out of my hold and the scratch marks on her neck. I reach my hand up to touch the marks on her neck causing her to flinch away from me. I'm not going to lie, that fucken hurt me a lot. "I won't hurt you ever again. I swear to you Harlow. Please can we just all talk in the kitchen" I choke out.

Harlow steps away from me looking at Leo who nods his head and walks over to Harlow "Harl's I'm going to stay right beside you ok?" He says. She nods and they both head into the kitchen. Harlow sat in the middle of Kody and Leo but looked down at the table. "Right, Harlow do you want to tell me what happened today?" Dad asked. Harlow didn't respond at all. "Harlow this requires you to communicate" Dad said. "Leave her alone. Don't you think you all did enough?" Kody asked. "Ok I didn't do shit to her" Jax said. "Yeh you didn't do shit when Hendrix was dragging her through the house. Nor did you check on her after. You sat there and did fuck all" Leo replied trying to keep his voice down. "Enough all of you" dad said. "Harlow can you please look at me" my dad asked. She didn't move at all so dad stood up and pulled her chair out causing Harlow to flinch. He got in front of the chair and went to take her hand from Leo and Kody but neither of them were letting go.

Dad got on his knees and was looking at Harlow for a few minutes before he said "Harlow, you are my baby girl. I never picked your mother over you. I tried to help her and she used that to manipulate me. Every time I was coming to get you she would beg me to help her and I couldn't say no. When I realised what she was doing it was to late. You wouldn't answer my calls, she showed me all the messages laughing about how you would never trust us again and I was so ashamed of myself. I should of come then to beg you for your forgiveness. I wrote you letters apologising and begging for you to talk to me and they were sent back torn up. I never wanted to lose you. You are my baby girl and I wanted you and loved you like no other. I am so so sorry" my father cried out placing his head on Harlow's lap. Harlow had tears running down her cheeks. Dad looked up at Harlow "no baby, please don't cry. I never want to see you cry again" he said wiping her tears with his hands. "I love you so much Harlow. I love you with my entire being" dad said before pulling her into a hug. She was stiff at first until she collapsed into our fathers arms.

When both dad and Harlow calmed down he stood up and sat back in his seat. "Right, now Hendrix has something to say to you Harlow and then we will discuss what's going to happen moving forward" dad said. "Harlow I'm so sorry for putting my hands on you and dragging you to that room. I'm sorry for hurting you and I swear I will never ever do that again. I am not mum" I said. "Ok now Harlow, I can see you have lost weight and it's not healthy. The boys have said you haven't been eating a lot and you won't go into your room. They also said you are never really here. Do you feel safe here?" Dad asked. Harlow looked towards Leo "it's ok Harl's just be honest" Leo said. She shook her head no. "Ok. So, I think it's best we find you somewhere else to stay for a bit" dad started but was interrupted by Harlow standing up and the chair falling back. Harlow attempted to run but was held by Leo pulling her into a hug. "Fuck, he didn't mean that Harlow. He isn't sending you away again. You haven't done anything wrong" Leo rushed out.

I got up quickly going over to Leo as he was struggling to hold Harlow and wrapped my arms around her "dad, what the fuck?" I said. "Shit Harlow I didn't mean that. Shit" Dad said. "Harlow stop struggling. No one is sending you away, you can sleep in my room with me ok?" Leo said. "You can sleep in with me any time Harlow" Kody added, he was now standing near the door ready to catch her if she got out of our hold. She stopped struggling, and I let go. She clung onto Leo like there was no tomorrow. He picked her up and headed up to his room. "Well done both of you. Maybe you both should stay the fuck away from her until you learn to listen" Kody said before walking up the stairs after Leo.
