Forgotten Wife: Let the Traitors Kneel Down

Chapter 18

18 do you love? April waited for the king in his chambers, she was hungry, in the room there was a basket of fruit, she stared at it for a while doubting whether to take any of the fruit, her stomach was growling with hunger, April touched her stomach and said.

_Stomach, I'm sorry for making you hungry.

In the end April couldn't bear her hunger any longer and took an apple.

After eating it she picked a few grapes and some strange fruits that she didn't know but that were delicious.

When she felt satisfied she sat on the bed to wait for the king because her legs hurt from standing up waiting for the king to arrive.

Alessandro was taking so long that she ended up lying down on the bed and falling asleep.

When Alessandro entered he saw the princess lying on her bed, he approached to check if she was awake, she was deeply asleep.

He covered her with the blankets, then got ready for bed.

He lay down next to her, looked at the wound on her hand, and wondered what would happen, if her wound would go away or if it would be there the next day.

Alessandro couldn't sleep well at night, for that reason he returned late to his chambers, but the night before and that one were different, when he was with the princess he began to feel sleepy, his eyelids felt heavy and he fell asleep quickly.

The next day Alessandro woke up first, he had had a good night's sleep, he hadn't had any of the nightmares that tormented him during the nights.

He looked at his hand, there was not even a small mark, his wound had completely disappeared.

He was surprised and excited at the same time, this meant that his brother had a chance that the injury could be healed.

Alessandro quickly stood up, went straight to his office and ordered the guards not to disturb him for the rest of the day, he locked the door to his office and moved an ornament from a bookcase in his office and a secret passage opened.

Now that he knew that the princess possessed magic, he had to find out what kind of magic it was.

He knew that there were many magics that had been lost over time and that no one knew anything about, however, the royal family possessed books older than the kingdom itself, books that only the king could consult.

He spent hours searching through books for all the types of magic that had ever existed, until he finally found what he was looking for, light magic.

A magic as old as creation itself that only a select few had possessed, that magic was so valuable that those who possessed such magic had been considered saints, bearers of the light of the goddess Juno.

A magic that could heal serious wounds and injuries, a magic that even nullified other magics.

The more he read, the more fascinated Alessandro became.

He couldn't believe that the king had given him someone as powerful as the princess, but since it was a lost magic, it couldn't be easily detected.

If it hadn't been for his brother, Alessandro wouldn't have realized the valuable power that the princess possessed.

Alessandro went to find his brother, he wanted to tell him what he had discovered.

He searched the palace but didn't find him, then he remembered that his brother had told him that he visited the princess every day, he went to look for him where she was, Cassian was with the princess, the two were sitting on a blanket under the shade of a large tree, Both seemed relaxed with each other, his brother seemed happy, as he hadn't seen him for a long time, he didn't dare to interrupt them.

That night at dinner Alessandro had all the servants leave and left them alone, Cassian asked.

_ What's up bro? _You were right.

_ About what? _About the princess, she possesses light magic, it is a very ancient magic that is practically forgotten.

_ Does that mean? _You can heal, brother, your injury will no longer be a problem.

_ But how? _I still don't know how exactly, although the princess possesses that magic, I think she is not aware of it.

_She believes she has no magic, that's why she had to suffer a lot throughout her life, that's why she has always been the forgotten princess.

_His magic must not have awakened yet, what he does when he relieves your pain he does it unconsciously, they are sparks of his power.

_Normally magic usually awakens when you are 6 years old, why hasn't hers awakened yet? _I don't know, but it's a forgotten magic, it's hard to know exactly how it works, but don't worry, I'll find out how to do it.

_Thanks brother.

_Cassian, there's something I'd like to ask you.

_ What do you want to ask? _ Are you in love with the princess? _ No!, she's your wife brother, I never.

_Today I saw you with her, you seemed happy, since you suffered that injury, I never saw you happy again, but today with her, you seemed happy like you hadn't been in a long time.

_I swear brother, I don't love the princess, but I don't dislike her either, she is a good person despite being her father's daughter.

_You can't trust her Cassian, she is the daughter of our enemy.

_You have never taken the time to get to know her, that's why you speak that way, but she has never been a beloved daughter like you think, King Venobich treated her with hatred for not being strong, he sent her here to die at your hands, brother.

_I suppose that is a good strategy on the part of King Venobich, if I had killed her he would have declared war on us again.
