Chapter 1126 Inexplicable world
Charlotte followed the police officer into the interrogation room, where she saw Wendy sitting on a chair
with a detached expression, a needle in the back of her hand, receiving an IV drip.
Upon seeing Charlotte enter, Wendy’s face finally showed a hint of liveliness. Her eyes were fixed on
Charlotte as she said, “You’ve come.”
Charlotte couldn’t help but feel that when Wendy spoke these words, she seemed like a weathered old
person who had experienced countless hardships, carrying a weight of heaviness in her demeanor and
tone.
“Why do you want to see me?” Charlotte asked straightforwardly.
Enter title...
She didn’t think she had much interaction with Wendy, at most, Wendy was always scheming against her
every time they met.
She didn’t believe that their relationship was worth Wendy harming herself to see her.
Before she could finish her sentence, Wendy suddenly lunged forward in her chair, her eyes fixed on

Charlotte, and said, “You’ve come back, haven’t you? Why am I in this inexplicable world? Why didn’t your
parents die?”
Upon hearing Wendy’s words, Charlotte’s face immediately darkened.
She could meet Wendy out of humanitarianism, but she couldn’t tolerate her speaking about her parents
in such a way.
Charlotte stood up abruptly and said, “If you’re looking for me just to say such boring things, you won’t be
able to see me again.”
Seeing her genuine anger, Wendy slumped back in her chair, looking at Charlotte with a strange
expression, muttering to herself, “How is this possible... why am I here?”
Realizing that Wendy had completely immersed herself in her own world, Charlotte didn’t waste any more
time and turned to leave.
Just as she grabbed the door handle, Wendy suddenly burst into tears and pleaded, “Charlotte, please
save me! I know I’ve done wrong in the past, but please give me a chance to change! I’m willing to
compensate you for everything if you agree!”
Wendy’s voice grew more intense, but Charlotte showed no intention of responding. She stopped in her

tracks, turned to look at Wendy, and said, “I can never forgive you. We will never have any interaction in
this lifetime.”
With that, she briskly walked out of the interrogation room.
As soon as she stepped out, Joe hurried over and carefully examined Charlotte.
After confirming that everything was fine with her, Joe breathed a sigh of relief and asked, “Did she say
anything that upset you?”
In Joe’s view, Wendy was completely delusional, so whatever nonsensical things she said were normal.
He didn’t want this incident to affect Charlotte’s mood.
Charlotte shook her head and said, “I didn’t hear anything she said.”
Despite Wendy’s incomprehensible words, Charlotte genuinely didn’t understand and had no desire to
pursue the matter further.
