Finding Emery

Four hours after the Quake's went into the cells they emerged. Jules had tortured Nancy for hours taking suggestions from Seb as she went. Not a part of her skin was left unharmed when she was finished. The Quake's were satisfied and had even packaged up Nancy's head to send to the red snakes as a message not to keep messing with them or the little girl.

Bass had checked on both Kody and Emery while the others were in the cell. Kody had to be stitched up and had a slight concussion. Bass had surmised that Emery had fainted from the stress of seeing Nancy coming into the room and seeing Kody injured. He then left not wanting to be around when Michael emerged from the cells, he knew he would be in a deadly mood and one wrong word or step, would cause him to take a life.

Emery hadn't stirred since she had passed out and Chase and Taz were worried. Bass had said she would wake when ready. Kody had been put to bed by another guard because of doctors orders but would be fine in the morning. He may have a slight headache but he would be fine with some pain killers. Michael stormed into the kitchen followed by Jasper who was pale, he never really had the stomach for torture at all. Seb came skipping in smiling like he just won the lottery.

When Michael spotted Emery laying on the lounge he was there in two strides pulling the little girl into his chest. He needed her in his arms to help calm him down. Emery began to stir in her uncle's arms. His smell made her feel safe and so she allowed herself to wake up. "Hey princess, you are ok. No one is going to hurt you" Uncle Mike cooed at his niece. "Shadow" Emery mumbled remembering the shadow coming into her room.

Michael rubbed Emery's back offering her comfort while he settled on the couch. Jasper and Seb sat opposite their father. They all felt guilty that Emery was almost harmed by Nancy. They were suppose to keep her safe. "There is no shadow baby, that was Nancy a bad woman who wanted to scare you" Mike seethed out. He didn't want Emery to be scared in this house but she needed some form of an answer. Emery didn't know if she could believe them or not so she looked into uncle Mike's eyes.

Uncle Mike smiled at Emery in reassurance. "Emmy baby, the police took the bad woman away. You are safe here I promise" Michael told his niece. "Mister Kody" Emery screamed when she remember that he had the red stuff on his head like her daddy did. "Hey, hey he is ok, the doctor came and he had a bump on his head but he will be fine after he has by a good sleep" Chase assured his sister. "I want mister Kody" Emery wailed.

Uncle Mike would do anything for his niece. He didn't like to see her cry at all. He carried Emery upstairs so she could see Kody and hoped that would help settle her down. Michael walked straight into Kody's room with Emery still in his arms. Kody was asleep topless on his bed. "Kody" Michael called out. Kody stirred and looked at his boss who was holding Emery who clearly had tears in her eyes. "Hey princess Emery. No tears" he croaked out. "I want to sleep with mister Kody" Emery cried. Michael didn't want to allow it but it would give him time to talk to his kids and his nephews. Michael nodded "just this once. Goodnight princess I love you" uncle Mike stated kissing Emery on the head and laying her next to Kody.

Uncle Mike headed downstairs to fill his nephews in on what Nancy had said before she took her last breath. They had a right to know what had happened and what Nancy had said. "Right we have some things to discuss about what Nancy said. Before you ask she is dead" Michael stated. He didn't feel anything for the woman any more. He had assumed she was dead years ago after her own parents couldn't even find her.

"First boys I'm sorry you witnessed that. She was still your mother" Uncle Mike stated. Both Jasper and Seb shook their heads, "she was nothing to us" Jasper spat. He hated his mother for what she did to the family and his grandparents. Now add in to the mix what she had planned to do to Emery, whether she knew she was the Quake's family or not. She was a little girl who Nancy had planned to use in the sex trade. Nancy was now the red snakes lead girl according to the words she screamed while being tortured.

"Nancy helped to establish the red snakes. She got your mother hooked on drugs. Your mother sold Emery to them for drugs and they had planned to sell her. The man in charge of the snakes, his name is Julius Moore" Uncle Mike said. "What the fuck?" Taz yelled out. "That's not all. Julius Moore was your mother's first husband. He wants revenge. We will need to take him out to eliminate the threat against Emery" uncle Mike spat. He would kill the bastard with his bare hands.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go kill the bastard" Chase yelled out. No one would take his sister away from him again. "We have a location" Seb stated smirking. "Then let's go" Taz stated. "There is one slight issue, we have another few snakes in our members and they all know the price on Emery's head" Jasper spat out.

The Quake's were silent. "What if we send Emery to our grandparents place for a few days while we take out Julius" Seb asked. "I would go with her" Taz stated. As much as Nancy's parents were family, Taz didn't want Emery alone at all. Uncle Mike nodded, "I will call Roberto and let him know of the new developments" Michael said before excusing himself to call his father in law.
