Finding Charlie Rose

Charlie woke before the alarm and looked to see she was sleeping on her brother. She didn't know what brother meant but apparently, she had two. She poked her brother in the nose, she wanted him to open his eyes. She needed to do a wee wee but she needed help to get on the toilet. Liam swatted away the thing that poked him in the nose scrunching his nose. Charlie giggled and poked him again, she thought it was funny when he scrunched up his nose.

Sam who was a light sleeper woke hearing his sister giggle. He watched as she poked Liam in the nose and giggled each time he scrunched up his face. He couldn't help but smile at his baby sister. Liam opened his eyes to see what was poking him to see Charlie giggling at him. "Charlie stop poking me" Liam whined at his sister. He wanted to sleep some more "Charlie do wee wee" Charlie told her brother who quickly sat upright thinking Charlie had weed on him. He felt around but it was all dry. Sam got up "Come on baby girl, I'll take you to the toilet so you can do a wee" he said grabbing his sister. He took her into the toilet and helped her on. "Do you need any help?" Sam asked his sister. She shook her head no, she was three she knew how to do it by herself.

When she was finished she came back into the room and tried to get back on the bed where Liam had gone back to sleep. "Hey Charlie do you want some breakfast?" Sam asked. "Strawberry" Charlie called happily. "How about some pancakes with strawberries?" Sam asked. He knew she would need to eat more than just strawberries but he also made a note to buy strawberries to have in the fridge at home. He would do anything to make his sister happy. "Ok," Charlie said still trying to climb on the bed.

Sam went to order the room service and Charlie dragged the chair over to the bed. She climbed on the chair standing on it she she could get on the bed. Sam spotted his sister and quickly rushed to stop his sister standing on the chair. "Charlie you aren't allowed to stand on the chair. They are for sitting" he told her. He didn't want her getting hurt at all. Charlie looked at him with her big blue eyes and was trying not to cry. She didn't want to be bad she just wanted to lay on Liam again he was comfy.

Sam felt horrible when he saw his sister's face. He didn't mean to upset her at all. "I not bad," Charlie said while sniffing. Liam sat up hearing what was happening and looked at his sister. He pulled her onto his lap wrapping her in his arms. She rested her head on his chest sniffing "You're not bad babe. Sam was worried you might hurt yourself. What were you trying to do?" He asked his sister. "I want to lay with Lee Lee" Charlie cried out.

Liam settled his sister after assuring her she wasn't bad at all. Sam felt like shit. He didn't mean to upset poor Charlie, he had forgotten how quickly little kids could get themselves hurt. He never wanted to see his sister get hurt and reacted without thinking. He apologised to Charlie over and over again. She was pretty much over it when she got to lay down on Liam's chest but Sam wasn't.

When the food arrived they all sat at the table but Charlie was too small to sit on the chair and reach the table. Liam made a note that they would need a booster seat for home before he could pick her up Sam had placed her on his lap and was cutting up the pancakes and strawberries for Charlie. Liam was jealous he wanted to have Charlie sit with him but he didn't say anything.

While having breakfast Sam spoke to Charlie. "Hey baby girl we are going to go on an aeroplane today" he told his sister. "Charlie come too?" Charlie asked, she had never been on an aeroplane. "Yeh babe, you, me and Sam are going to fly on an aeroplane after breakfast. Would you like that?" Liam asked. "Yeh Lee Lee, Charlie fly too," Charlie said. She was excited to fly. "Ok baby girl finish your breakfast and then we can get dressed to go fly on the plane" Sam said.

Charlie quickly finished her food "I full now" Charlie said after eating half a pancake and some strawberries. "Ok babe let's clean you up" Liam said taking Charlie to wash her hands and face which were all sticky. Sam finished his breakfast and grabbed some clothes out of his bag for himself and then grabbed Charlie some clothes. He picked out a yellow sun dress and her sandals. When Liam and Charlie came out of the bathroom he asked Liam to help dress Charlie while he went to change in the bathroom. When he was done he came out seeing Charlie sitting in bed watching TV.

Liam grabbed his clothes and headed to the bathroom. Sam packed up all their things putting them near the door so they could leave. "Charlie, do you want to pack your worm in the bag?" He asked his sister. He realised how important that worm was when he found the spares in his mother's room and the fact that Charlie rarely let it go. Charlie shook her head no, she wanted to carry it with her. "Ok baby girl but you can't let it go we don't want to lose it ok?" Sam replied. "Ok, Sammy. I hold it" Charlie replied while still watching the TV.

When Liam was finished in the bathroom he packed up his bag and they were ready to go. They checked the room again to make sure they hadn't left anything behind before taking Charlie to the bathroom one last time and leaving the hotel. They headed to the airport checking into their flight with an excited Charlie. They were allowed to carry the car seat onto the plane and use it in the cabin for Charlie.

When their flight was called, they headed to the plane with Sam carrying his sister and Liam carrying the car seat. The bags were checked in so they could just have a bag of Charlie's things to keep her occupied on the plane they had brought her some colouring books and snacks at the shop in the airport to occupy her on the plane even though it was a quick flight that didn't want her screaming.

As they boarded the flight one of the attendants helped Liam secure the seat and get Charlie situated. Charlie was bouncing in her seat with her arms spread wide "Sammy, Lee Lee. Charlie flying look" Charlie said while making broom noises. "Yeh babe Charlie's flying" Liam said. Soon the flight took off and Charlie cried when her ears popped. She didn't like the feeling but soon settled when the flight attendant gave her a Lolly pop to suck and a spare to Sam for when they landed.
