Finding Bailey

The next morning everyone was with Bailey while she had her first lot of shots. She was devastated when she got her needles but she didn't cry. She just looked like she was betrayed. Bodie had held his sister and then she wouldn't look at him at all after the doctor had given her the needles. She held her hands out for Dada and buried her head into his chest. Bodie was devastated but the doctor and Nelson assured him she would be ok.

The paediatrician confirmed that Bailey was gaining weight and was almost at a healthy weight for her age and she had grown a little from when she had first come into the care of her brothers. Her nappy rash was completely gone and now that she was taking a few steps and speaking a few words the paediatrician assured the family that developmentally she was on the right track. As for the trauma of the abuse, no one would know the affects it would have on Bailey until she got older. No one knew the extent of what she had been through either.

Bodie rode with his father, grandfather and Bailey to the aquarium because she still refused to look at him or acknowledge him. "Bailey, I'm sorry. Please don't hate me" Bodie begged his sister. If he had of known this is how she would react because of the needles he would of let someone else hold her. He had just wanted to comfort her incase it hurt. Bailey was very quiet but didn't look at Bodie at all. Bodie was very distraught, "dad help" he begged his father.

Nelson and Harry shook there heads at Bodie, it was funny how just by ignoring him Bailey could have her brother doing anything she wanted. God help them all when she was older if she used that to her advantage. "Princess, Bodie didn't know you were going to be hurt. He was trying to help you so you don't get sick" Nelson tried to explain. He couldn't stand to see his son whining or beating himself up. Bailey was still quiet, her legs were sore from where the needles were injected just like when the bad man kicked her out of the way.

Harry was watching his granddaughter who was absentmindedly rubbing the injection site. "Chicken, is it sore?" Harry asked Bailey. Bailey nodded her head yes because they were sore and her eyes filled with tears but when the bad man kicked her if she cried she would be hurt more. "Ok chicken, I'll get you some Panadol to help with the pain when we get to the aquarium. Bodie put your hands over the injection sites to help with the pain. Remember this is all new for her and she is likely to have been hurt before" Harry explained.

Bodie moved in to the middle seat securing his seatbelt again and gently placed his hands over Bailey's hands. "It's ok baby, I know it's sore and I'm sorry. We will make it better" Bodie whispered to his sister. Bailey's bottom lip trembled but she didn't cry at all. She looked into Bodie's eyes and could see he was genuine. His cool hands on her legs were helping with the pain though. Bodie cooed at his sister and soon she was sound asleep in her car seat.

Bodie let out a sigh of relief, he didn't want his sister to hate him or not talk to him at all. The 40 minutes she didn't talk to him or look at him felt like a life time. "Oh god, that was horrible" Bodie commented causing Nelson and Harry to laugh at him. "It wasn't funny" Bodie whined and pouted. "What are you going to do when she is a teenager and won't talk to you for days?" Nelson laughed at his son. He remember his boys locking themselves in their rooms and not talking to anyone for days on end.

Bodie sat in shock, he hadn't thought of Bailey growing up at all. She wasn't allowed to be a teenager, that meant boys and parties and things she could never do. Oh god how would they cope with that?

When they parked near the aquarium, Bodie still had a horrified look on his face. "What's wrong with him now?" Brax asked snapping Bodie out of his trance. "She is going to be a teenager. A teenage girl at that. There will be boys and parties and things she should never do. How the hell are we going to handle that?" Bodie rushed out throwing his hands around in front of his brothers.

Brax and Blair looked just as horrified, Brax more so then Blair. Blair had mainly stayed away from the teenage stuff because he had lost his mother just as he hit the teenage years and didn't trust people, but he had experimented with drugs a little and also experimented with his sexuality. Brax was a typical fuck boy and had left lots of girls in his wake.

"Shit what if guys are like me when she is a teenager?" Brax asked horrified at the thought of someone using Bailey like he had used girls. "Oh god, nope don't say that. She is going to an all girls school" Bodie stated dramatically. "They are the freakiest out of all the girls" Brax stated remembering the private school girls he had slept with.

Harry and Nelson watched as the three brothers spiralled with the thoughts of Bailey as a teenage girl. They couldn't help but laugh at the three. Nelson couldn't help himself, "what about when she gets her period?" He asked the boys. All the boys swung around to look at their father horrified of the thoughts of Bailey getting her period. Finally Blair cleared his throat, periods were a normal bodily function and he would be there for his sister. "When she gets her period, I'll buy her pads and tampons and ice cream and chocolate" Blair clarified, that was the least of his concern.

Harry doubled over in laughter, it was comical really, the youngest brother seemed more mature then the other two. "Nope she will be going to a nunnery, if she has a period she can get pregnant and teenage boys think with the wrong head" Brax stated. Nelson shook his headed and grabbed Bailey out of her seat. She was starting to stir because the car was no longer moving.

"Well played Karma, well played" Bodie commented patting Brax on the back. "What?" Brax asked. "Well now it's pay back for all those girls you played with" Bodie commented. He had had his share of partners too, but he couldn't get a guy pregnant so never had to worry. "Oh god, I'm sorry please let my sister remain a virgin till she is at least 50" Brax stated. All Nelson and Harry could do was laugh which Bailey soon joined in with making Brax glare at her. He wasn't joking at all so she shouldn't be laughing.
