Chapter 174. Oh right, I prohibit your roommate from calling you Luoluo from now on, only I can call you that
“Hey, miss, are you going to buy breakfast or not? Please step aside if you’re not going to buy anything. There’s a long queue behind you,” the canteen aunty said with annoyance as she waved the ladle.
“Yes, yes,” Luosang said, “I’ll have the mixed grain porridge, a sweet potato, an egg, two siew mais, and a pancake. Oh and throw in a slice of cake.”
On the other end of the phone, Nian Junting looked at his own breakfast before him. He was having a croissant, a sunny side up egg, a portion of fruit, and a glass of milk. Although he already knew that Luosang was a glutton, he never realized the extent of her appetite.
“You are a true glutton,” he concluded.
“You told me to feed myself well yesterday,” Luosang tucked her phone between her ear and shoulder as she carried the tray of food to a table.
Tang Ning looked at her mountain of food and exclaimed, “Wow Luoluo, you really ordered a lot of things today. You usually scrimp and save at meal times.”
Luosang was nervous, as Nian Junting must have heard that.
“It is because I topped up your meal card?” Nian Junting smirked, he found it extremely satisfying that his woman was spending his money. So this was why men work so hard to bring home the bacon. “Eat, eat! I’ll top up your card when it runs out. I have loads of money.”
“Uh…”
“Oh right, and I prohibit your roommate from calling you Luoluo from now on. Only I can call you that,” he said bossily.
Luosang whispered over the phone, “She has been calling me that for so long. I can’t just ask her to stop.”
“You can.”
“…”contemporary romance
What an unreasonable man.
“What are you doing right now?” Luosang shifted his attention.
“I’m having breakfast,” Nian Junting paused before continuing, “It’s so boring eating alone. I want to have breakfast with you.”
Luosang was shocked to hear something so affectionate coming from someone who was usually full of snide remarks. She choked on her porridge and before she could respond, she was already blushing.
If Tang Ning wasn’t sitting next to her, then she would have told Nian Junting to give her a heads up the next time he was going to sweet talk to her.
She continued to catch her breath after her coughing fit, “Why aren’t you speaking?” the voice on the other end said.
She had no reaction after he said such mushy words?
“My roommates are all here,” Luosang whispered, “Let’s talk later.”
“Alright, let’s text then,” he said, “You’ll have to respond to what I just said.”
She was probably too shy to sweet talk to him with all her roommates around her, thought Nian Junting.
With that, he hung up.
Luosang was speechless. She told him that they’ll talk later, but how did that translate to texting?
After pondering hard about what to say, she texted him, “You want to eat with me, but I don’t want to eat with you. You were the one who compared me to an animal whenever we had meals together.”
She remembered all the things he said to her before and all the things he did.
At the Tianhu Villa, Nian Junting frowned at her response. What a petty woman.
He hastily replied, “I’ll never say that again…”
He thought about it and decided to get a second opinion. He called Sister Lan over, “Tell me, how should I reply to her such that I sound like a sweet and thoughtful man?”
Sister Lan was shocked and the pot she was holding in her hands shook as she recalled the conversations between Nian Junting and Luosang in the past. “Young Master, are you planning to get together with Luosang?” she finally asked.
“…Yup.”
