Chapter 430

Chapter 430 Stanley Had Arrived

This statement was inexplicable. I wanted to ask him what he was up to, but before I could open my mouth, he had already left.

A perfectly good day was ruined by this person, truly messing up my mood, which was far from beautiful.

Marjorie was pregnant.

Was the child Walter's?

Some things, it's impossible to remain indifferent to, even if I put on a righteous and nonchalant front in front of Ezra. But how could one be indifferent to someone they care about? That night, I was destined not to get a good sleep.

But time didn't allow me to wallow in this discomfort. Two days later, Marguerite suddenly leaned in close to me and whispered, "Ms. Conner, someone wants to see you."

I was taken aback, unable to react, and stared at her blankly, asking, "See me? Who?"

She mysteriously pulled me outside and we walked for quite a while until we reached the place at the foot of the mountain where the electric fence was installed. The entire mountain was surrounded by this fence, designed to prevent people from escaping.

People outside couldn't get in either, seeing the peddler who had helped pass messages before, I was somewhat surprised.

The vendor outside the electric grid looked at me and said, "Ms.

Conner, your family has arrived."

Before I could fully react, I saw Stanley, tanned dark by the sun. I didn't recognize him at first, until he looked at me, excitedly saying, "Tabatha, are you okay?".

Hearing the familiar voice and seeing his dark face, I finally realized. Looking at him, my face full of shock, how did he find this place?

Stanley had a few words with the vendor and sent him away, I also had Marguerite help me keep an eye on the surroundings.

With no outsiders around, Stanley said, "Ms. Conner, are you okay here?"

I nodded, looking at him, unable to suppress my curiosity, "How did you find it?" I had asked the vendor to send a message of safety, the only thing I could think of was that Stanley would contact the local police and then find this, but I didn't expect him to find it so quickly.

He pulled out a walkie-talkie from his pocket and handed it to me, saying, "Keep this on you, it might come in handy." After a pause, he continued, "I saw the message you had the vendor send me. At first, I thought it was sent to me by mistake, but then I casually checked the address and found out it was the border. I figured it might be you, so I followed the lead. I had to connect with that vendor several times, asking him to help me come see you. I'm glad to see you're okay."

After hearing him say this, I gave a slight nod and said, "This mountain is full of Venom Roses, possibly hundreds of acres. Can these things convict Ezra?"

He furrowed his brows slightly, thought for a moment and said, "I'm afraid not. There's no way to prove that these things were planted by Ezra Besides, farmers have been growing these things along the border. Although it's rare, it's legal in some areas Unless we can catch

him dealing drugs on the spot, there's nothing we can do to him."

Hearing him say this, I suddenly remembered what Marguerite had said before, that these Venom Roses would be sent to a specific processing plant after they matured, and then sold to various countries. If that was the case, we could find out where Ezra was being educated, wait for them to make the transaction, and then catch them red-handed.

Looking at Stanley, I said, "Since we can't do anything to him before the transaction, let's wait until he trades. These Venom Roses are about to be harvested soon, and it won't be long before they are processed. They will definitely carry out large-scale transactions. By then, as long as we catch him red-handed, we can convict Ezra."

Stanley gave a slight nod, but frowned and said, “Ms. Conner, do you mean you still plan to stay here?"

I nodded slightly, saying, "These Venom Roses were collected uniformly. It won't take long to finish processing them. I will try to find Stanley's trading location and notify you then."

Pausing for a moment, I turned to Michael and said, "By the way, I met an old cop here. It seems like he's been undercover around Mr. Butcher for a while. He was discovered, but strangely, Mr. Butcher didn't kill him. He just kept him around to torture. But that might be a good thing. Can you guys figure out a way to rescue him?"
