Chapter 44: You Are so Cheap
"No, no, my job is going to be done, wait there for a while, and I'll be there soon." Cathy answered hurriedly, and hanged up the phone before he could answer.. Tyrone Raman was here, and she didn't want these two men to meet again. Somehow, she would often feel awkward as soon as thought about the scene.
Quickly walked back to the president's office, knocked on the door, and she saw the man was working, and Leo Scott was also there.
There was another person, so the atmosphere was not as embarrassing as before. She looked at the man and bluntly said, "Mr. Raman, I have visited your company. It's late and I have to return to report Mr. Brown, so I will leave first."
The man removed his gaze from the computer screen and looked at her without answering immediately.
Cathy licked her lips, went to the sofa, took the man's coat off aside, gently picked up Mila who was still sleeping, looked at him and bowed, "Thank you for everything. Goodbye!"
After that, she turned around and went outside.
"Wait!" The man suddenly said.
She stopped with her heart sinking down and looked back at him. "Tyrone Raman, I have given you face, and what do you want to do? Must you make each other feel embarrassed?"
Leo glanced at these two people playfully. Shaking a glass of red wine in his hand and sitting on the chair by the window, the gesture couldn't be more elegant.
Tyrone Raman closed the computer and stood up. He walked around the table to whisper to her: "I just have something to talk with Mr. Brown. How about going back together?"
Suddenly, Cathy's eyes flushed with anger. If there wasn't a child in her arms, she really wanted to kick him.
Why hadn't she found him so meddlesome before?
Taking a few deep breaths, she calmed down and gnashed her teeth: "You can go by yourself. Don't follow me."
She was bothered to argue with him. After leaving a sentence, she went out directly.
Tyrone Raman licked his lips, picked up the coat from the sofa, and followed her quickly.
When the door was closed, Leo chuckled faintly:
"You are so cheap!"
When Cathy was waiting for the elevator, Tyrone Raman appeared unhurriedly. It seemed that he had not intended to ride with her.
When the elevator was going up, Marian was just going to look for him. When she found Cathy was still there, her face changed slightly. "Tyrone, where are you going?"
"I have Some businesses to deal with." The man wouldn't like to explain more.
"Let me go with you!" As she said, she walked over lamely.
The man noticed the strangeness and frowned. "What happened to your feet?"
Marian thought that he was caring about her, so her heart melted away. She bit her lips lightly, and murmured pitifully, "Nothing serious. I just walked too much with Miss Lawson, so they seem to be swollen." The man's brows wrinkled more tightly.
He invited her to visit his company, but didn't really let her run all over her. She hated him so much. To hide from him, she was even not care about her pregnancy.
The more he thought about it, the more bored Tyrone's heart was. His handsome face became colder and colder, so that the outline of his chin got tense.
Looking at his expression, Marian thought he was angry for her. She felt more smug, and continued weakly, "Tyrone, please don't blame Miss Lawson."
When they were talking, the elevator reached. While the door was opening, the man looked at her normally. "Since you are uncomfortable, I give you a half-day vacation to rest. You don't have to follow me today."
Marian stunned and felt a little muddled. She Stared at him as he walked into the elevator. Until the door closed, she reacted," Tyrone! Tyrone...?"
Who said she wanted to take time off?
It was obviously Cathy, and that bad woman...
Something flashed in her mind and she suddenly understood.
Gritted her teeth in anger, glanced at the elevator, Marian clenched his fist. So far, her hatred of Cathy suddenly rose to the top.
Dragging the stinging ankles, she went to the president's office, and she saw Leo Scott was sitting here leisurely. All of a sudden, her face got stormy.
Without any equivocality, she asked straightforwardly, "Mr. Scott, what happened to Tyrone and that woman? Aren't they divorced?"
Leo Scott didn't have any surprised at her break-in and sudden question. He looked down at the window and laughed. "Who said divorced people can't continue together? Both of them are unmarried now. Everything is possible for them."
The mood of Marian instantly sank to the bottom of the valley. Before that, she was confident that Tyrone Raman wouldn't love that woman. But now the current development was definitely not what she wanted.
"Impossible, Tyrone won't love her." She screamed affirmatively and her eyes were cold.
Leo stared at her for a few seconds and smiled. "Little Marian! It's not a bad thing that a woman is smart, but it's not good that to be self-righteous. I think it is his personal business, so I can't control it, and either can you."
Marian straightened her back and said straightforwardly:" Mr. Scott is always lazy to gossip, but I am different. It so difficult for me to wait for his divorce. How can I allow this good opportunity to slip by. Aunt doesn't like her more, so it's impossible for her to marry Tyrone again."
"But it seems that he doesn't like you either. Anyhow he has slept with Cathy for three years. You wandered in front of him all day but he wasn't interested in you. Obviously his pursuit of beauty and body is no so high."
This sentence undoubtedly hurt her heart most heavily.
The face of Marian got pale, because which was a fact she had been reluctant to admit.
She bit her lip and argued, "Tyrone...is different from you. He is just upright. He won't be tempted by beauty. Moreover, he often didn't go home. Who knows if he had slept with that woman?"
Leo glanced at her with a cool smile flashed in his beautiful eyes, then looked out through the window.
Could you get pregnant without sleeping together? Even if that man was stupid, he was must clear who the baby' father was.
For a long while, he took a sip of red wine and a strange light flashed in his eyes. He said: "He is indeed more upright than me, but a man's desire for a woman is instinct, unless he is sexually anorexic. Otherwise......you can have a try."
Marian looked at him and her eyes lit up very quickly.
Downstairs.
Cathy held Mila, walked out of the LT Company and walked toward her own company building.
Feeling someone following behind her, she looked back and found that the man really came out. He was not too slow, not looking at her, and also didn't seem to be deliberately following her.
She bit her teeth and tried to ignore him.
Downstairs of Vanten Technology Company.
Distantly, She saw Matt standing next to the car, so she shouted, "Matt."
