Chapter CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
The commanders littered around the office while Tyran settled on his leather chair. He was still suffering from the after-shocks of the healing session and he knew he had to undergo another session with his Mage but now, he had a war to prepare for.
“Gentlemen, looks like you’ll be splitting up.” He said. “You’ll stationed out in different sectors of the Realm.”
All the commanders nodded.
“Drake, I’ll have you at the Northern Sector watching over the Gyan and Jude Districts. Jax, you’ll be at the Eastern Coast Sector watching over Catzch Coastal District. Storm, you’ll be at the Central Sector watching over Opsan forest. Zach, you’ll remain here watching over the city of Agore and the plantations.”
“What about Ruvin?” Drake asked as he softly massaged his stiff leg.
Tyran’s eyes darkened. “Ruvin will be heading to the human realm.”
The office went silent before Zach cleared his throat nervously. “You do know that Ruvin is a fucking Lycan, right? Take him to the human world and he becomes a freaking moon child!”
“I know but he’s the only one who can function in the human world!” Tyran said irritably. “With the little enchanted energy in the human realm Drake can barely call to his dragon there and you can’t even make a spoon levitate without getting weaker with no energy pools to recharge! Jax will have to buy a fucking fish bowl to walk around with and Storm’s leo would have to go into hibernation most of the time the moment you step into the atmosphere. Though Ruvin will become a slave to the moon, at least he can still function.”
A string of curses went through the room. They knew he was right. The only reason he was able to cast spells in the human world was because he was a royal blood ancient and he had to harness a lot of energy. Humans didn’t believe in magic or otherworldly beings. The energies that supported otherworldly beings were rarely used so they slowly slipped away making it difficult for enchanted world beings to function.
“When are we due to leave?” Drake asked.
Tyran turned his eyes to the healing commander and shook his head. “You can hardly walk, let alone command an army. I still need you for at least two weeks. I need you to choose your army leaders and I need you to train the recruits.”
“Lyrah can do that.” Drake smirked and Zach coughed funnily.
“With all that is happening, Drake, I know you still need both of your legs still intact. Make such a suggestion like that again and I’ll fuck you up...permanently.”
Drake quirked his eyebrow at the Lord Mage but didn’t add any smart-ass comment.
“What of Olena?” Jax asked as he uncrossed his arms and went to sit next to Storm. “She’s still awaiting judgment--”
“Any threat made to the king is a direct death sentence and so is treachery.” Drake cut in bitterly.
“She has to be executed.” Storm added his eyes shining eerily amber. The Leo was close by.
“And she will be executed...publicly. This should set an example to anyone else who is part of this rogue army.” Tyran answered.
He couldn’t believe the female he believed was someone Noelle could have learned from was actually a snake. It made him love Noelle even more because though she was a bundle of stubbornness, mischief and challenges, she was very true and open. Olena betrayed him, his people and her own people and for that, she was going to pay dearly. He considered sentencing her to prison for a long time but she assured him that she was all in with the true king and that she was never going to change.
“I’ll get her prepared.” Drake volunteered.
“What about the Fae King?” Storm asked. “He is recuperating well but I don’t think he can travel back just yet. I think we will have to ask Noble Florian and his mate to stay a little longer until he is able to travel.”
Everyone turned to Storm with rage crackling in their eyes.
“King Alston can stay here for as long as he needs to but Florian will leave the moment this conference is done.” Tyran barked. “I don’t need that spineless cocksucker breathing in the same air as me!”
Drake chuckled softly. “I second that.”
“Pompous prig.” Zach muttered.
“Well, at least you don’t have to worry that your queen will up and leave you again.” Drake teased softly, grinning like an idiot. “She has a brand new set of wings for you, my king.”
“Swallow your tongue, fireball.” Tyran growled but he couldn’t help but feel warmth seep into his heart. “That is none of your business.”
But that stupid grin didn’t leave Drake’s face.
“And they are black....sweet!” Jax added in wonder.
“I wonder what ability she has.” Zach frowned pensively. “Luna has that gold haze crippler thing.”
All the males quirked their heads in wonder. Tyran wanted to know too.
“One way we can find out.” Jax shrugged his shoulders as if he was sorry for suggesting it in the first place.
Tyran didn’t like the look. “What?”
“Get her defensive.” Jax answered.
Tyran’s eyebrows arched up. “What do you mean, get her defensive?”
“Do you really want to know what ability she has?” Jax crossed his arms and eyed his king.
Tyran always feared the fish-boy’s tactics of getting answers. They all saw it first hand when Olena was apprehended. He really didn’t want to expose his queen to such tactics but he was very curious.
“What are you planning to do to her?” Tyran asked. She already went through enough.
“Not her...” Jax let the sentence linger in the air as he got up and walked towards the door. “All I need for you to do is to forgive for this, my king.”
Tyran breathed in and sighed. Whatever Jax had planned was not meant to hurt anyone. Jax would never do that. He was one male who gagged at the sight of blood the first time he met him. He only killed when he really needed to and most of the time he injured or sedated. “Fine.”
“Good.” He grinned, his white straight teeth blinking in the light. “Follow me, gentlemen.”
“This is not a good idea.” Drake muttered.
“The last this happened, I went through my ulti-breed metamorphosis!” Storm warned but they all followed the merman out into the hallway all the way to the dining room where everyone was sitting, eating and chatting happily. Noelle was sitting with Ethinia, Luna and Lyrah, chatting and laughing and through the mate bond, she looked up towards him and smiled lovingly. Tyran’s heart tightened inside his ribs.
No one was prepared to what followed and suddenly, Tyran heard the familiar slurping sound Jax’s sharp protrusions made when they unsheathed themselves from his skin. He turned to him and shrugged casually and muttered. “There are not poisoned so don’t worry.”
Tyran’s eyes widened as it dawned to him what Jax was about to do and before he could stop him, Jax plunged the bony spears into his abdomen. “You sick, son-of-a-bitch.” Tyran groaned and threw his head back before he roared.
The royal army got hold of their weapons and all aimed at Jax. Even Drake, Zach and Storm were ready to attack. Storm’s bones popped and elongated as he became the ulti-breed and Drake’s nails became claws. Pale orbs twirled on either side of Zach’s hands but Jax didn’t look a bit scared of what would happen.
Suddenly wind started gusting around them and they all turned to the source. Noelle’s wings were beating at a hundred beats per second she was hovering over everyone. Her rage reverberated across the room towards Jax.
“Oh shit.” Jax muttered as Noelle opened her mouth. “She’s a fucking canary!”
An ear-splitting cry escaped her lips sending glass shuttering and everyone clasping their hands over their ears but no one got the full power of it other than Jax as she directed all her wrath at him. Tyran’s eyes widened as he realized the only person it was affecting was Jax.
The male was bleeding from his nose, mouth and eyes as the sound popped his blood veins!
“Noelle stop!” Tyran growled and the sound died immediately.
Jax staggered on his feet and collapsed. He grinned up at his king through all that blood and muttered. “Well, now you know.” then he lost consciousness.
Tyran turned his dazed looked at his frightened queen then down his his fallen commander. Jax was indeed a sick son-of-a-bitch. The room was stunned into silence as everyone tried to contemplate on what just happened.
“Someone get him to the infirmary.” Tyran gritted his teeth.
There was a thump behind him and a crackling of knuckles as the half-man, half Leo ulti-breed came forward. “With pleasure.” he snarled and heaved Jax over his shoulder before stomping out.
“Well, that was a good lesson learned.” Drake crossed his arms against his chest. “Never fuck with the king in front of his queen.”
“Who would have known she’d be a banshee?” Zach shook his head in wonder.
“I should have known.” Tyran answered. “The last time she used her voice to calm down Giles, Storm’s Leo. I should have known that would be her ability.
“Shit!” Drake scratched the back of his head. “You better got up there and assure her you’re alright or she might go canary on us again.”
Tyran looked down at his fresh wound. It had already closed up but Drake was right. Noelle’s eyes were large and glowing with fear and her face pale and deathly white. Both her hands were held, on one side by Lyrah and the other by Ethinia. “Get this mess cleaned up.”
Tyran passed through the large dining room until he stood in front his queen. He touched her cheek lightly and tried to smile. “So, you are a banshee?”
Noelle was caught between disbelief, relief and a bout of tears. “You did that on purpose?”
Tyran shrugged sheepishly. “I needed to know.”
“You can be so immature sometimes.” she whispered not wanting anyone to hear her scolding the king.
“I’m sorry.” Tyran pulled her into his arms. “I’ll take you to our chambers so that you can let out all your anger on me, okay?”
Noelle didn’t answer as he flashed them out of the dining leaving everyone murmuring and giggling behind their hands.
“And he calls us troublesome.” He heard Lyrah mutter between a smile.
Once inside the comforts of their room, Noelle pushed away and punched Tyran on his chest.
“Do you want to kill me with a heartache!” she exclaimed. She had never been so scared in her life. The moment she saw that spear pierce into Tyran’s stomach, a red haze entered her. She wanted to rip Jax into shreds. She felt the swell of energy inside her throat bursting to come out and she released it. She had no idea what happened and the next thing she knew she was shuttering all the glassware and targeting Jax.
She could have killed him if Tyran didn’t bring her back from that hazy dream world she was stuck in.
“I’m sorry, Noe.”
“You are more childish than even Lyrah and me—you and that whole flock of boys you call your commanders.” She paced in front him, her arms rightly crossed on her chest and her wings buzzing angrily behind her. “What were you thinking? What if Jax really did harm you?”
“He would never have harmed me.” Tyran assured her. His expression was wary and he had every right to fear for what she was going to do.
She was so upset with him. “I almost killed him!”
“It takes a whole lot more than that to kill Jax.” Tyran assured her.
She stopped pacing and looked up at him. “You don’t know that. I don’t know that! I’m a pure-blood Fae, Tyran! And I don’t even know my own strength right now.”
Tyran cupped her face and placed a kiss on her lips. “I wouldn’t have let you lose control of your ability.”
Noelle searched desperately in Tyran’s eyes and saw assurance. All he did to stop her was to call out her name, that was enough evidence to tell her that he could help her control it but she was scared because this was all new to her.
“I was so scared.” She whispered to him.
“I’m so sorry, Noe.” Tyran embraced her tightly.
Noelle couldn’t breath as tears gathered and constricted her airway. She gasped out as tears flowed out of her eyes and dampen the leather vest Tyran wore. Tyran scooped Noelle from the floor and led her to the large bed. He placed her softly on the sheets and stretched out beside her.
Noelle didn’t let go of him. She held onto him as if he was the only one who kept her from slipping off into nothingness.
“Please make love to me, Tyran.” Noelle was desperate to feel Tyran loving her and taking her body.
“Oh Noe.” Tyran growled as he took her lips into a spell-binding kiss.
Tyran kissed her hard, pouring all his love into her. She readily and greedily fed on it. Suddenly her garments were too tight and uncomfortable around her. She struggled trying to get her body free of them and Tyran chuckled ripping the material effortlessly from her body. He flashed himself out of his soon he was as naked as she was.
He hovered over her running his hands deep in her coppery curls. “Heavens, you are beautiful.” he breathed. He dipped down and kissed her long and hard.
Noelle tightened her hold around his broad shoulders wanting him as close to as possible. She could still feel the hot fever that was radiating from him plus the wound he just received from Jax. Jax that sicko! What the hell was he thinking? She truly cared for him and felt for him after he was exiled by his queen from his home. Why would he pull such stunt?
Tyran’s scorching lips slipped down to her neck and shoulder and finally to one of her tightly erected nipples. His mouth and teeth against it were heavenly. She could never get enough of this male. He was her everything and she loved him dearly.
Tyran tormented her with his tongue and his teeth, nipping at the sensitive flesh and making her moan and cry out for more. Soon enough, his fingers teased open the folds of her sex. Noelle cried out and her fingers bit hard into his skin. He rubbed her, teased her, milked her until she thought she was going to explode. He plunged a finger deep inside her, testing her readiness for him. She was always ready for him. Every time she laid her eyes on him, her womb clenched and her core dampened eagerly wanting him.
Tyran tore his lips from her skin and before she knew what he was about to do his head was between her thighs indulging in the cream that was dripping from her. He growled, sucking at the bundle of nerves that throbbed to the beating of her heart. Noelle felt her knees weaken as Tyran’s tongue found her entrance and slurped down the sweet cream there. Noelle felt the tightening of muscles around her thighs. An orgasm was already inching closer. She clamped her thighs around Tyran’s head to try and control the trembles but Tyran held her apart and Noelle crushed head first into an orgasm that had her soaring in the skies.
Tyran didn’t wait for the tremors to subside and plunged deep inside her all the way to the hilt sending Noelle plummeting into another overwhelming orgasm. He thrust deep and hard inside her with sure strokes. He soon picked up a rhythm carrying them towards a climax. Tyran pistoned in and out of her, picking up the pace until he had crying out his same. He took her again and again, hitting that secret spot that had her seeing stars. He rolled his hips against her, grinding into her and caressing her so deeply she thought she was going to lose her mind.
Noelle held Tyran close as he drove them to the edge and they splintered into an orgasm together, Tyran pouring his essence deep inside her. His breath came out in hard short gulps of air. Noelle caressed the dark curls of his hair whispering her love to him. Tyran drew from her and stretched next to her, pulling her into his embrace and placing a kiss on her forehead.
“The royals must be wondering what is happening up here.” Noelle grinned up at her king.
Tyran kissed her again. “I don’t give a fuck what they think. This is my home and you are my queen. Your needs come first before anyone else’s.”
“I feel so spoiled right now.” Noelle ran her hand over Tyran’s stubble populated chin.
“You have every right to. No Mage Queen of mine should feel any less. You deserve every bit of spoiling because you have opened up your heart and learned to love me. I never thought this day would ever come and I was not prepared for the happiness I felt when I learned of it.”
“You are my everything, Lord Mage. I can’t believe I never saw that earlier.” Noelle assured him.
“Then we should make our union official. I’ll arrange it with the high priestess.”
“I would love to officially join with you, Lord Mage...it’s a shame my wedding dress is not what it was supposed to be.”
Tyran lifted her chin and looked deep in her eyes. “I’ll have the best dress maker come and make the perfect dress for you. Ask for anything and it is yours.”
Noelle smiled remembering the time they met in the elevator after a century away from him. “I want the moon and the stars.”
Tyran held out a finger as he sat up and cleared his throat. “Are you ready for it?”
Noelle nodded excitedly.
Tyran opened up his arms chanting softly and suddenly all the walls fell away from their quarters. There was darkness all around them and suddenly a shooting star whizzed in front of Noelle.
She squealed happily as suddenly their bed was surrounded by thousands of stars blinking blissfully around them. The moon shone brightly in front of her. It looked beautiful and very real, rotating lazily in its orbit. Tyran reached up and picked a blue star then presented it to her.
“A star is not enough for my queen.” He held it to her and the light faded into a pendant with a twirling light inside. “You deserve the entire solar system.”
Noelle’s eyes widened as she peered through the crystal pendant and discovered that indeed the solar system was twirling inside it. She blinked at him and suddenly they were back in their quarters. Tyran touched the pendant lightly and a gold string appeared weaving itself into a pretty gold chain. Tyran took the chain from her hands and slipped it around her neck.
“Ask for anything and it is yours.” He whispered sincerely to her.
“I don’t know how I got so lucky to have you as my mate. I love you, Lord Mage.”
Tyran smiled back. “And I you, my queen.” he drew down and kissed her hard and long, awakening the slumbering parts of her body once more, to receive her mate’s love, heart and soul.
