ENCHANTED WORLD SERIES BOOK 1: POSSESSED BY LORD MAGE

Chapter CHAPTER FIFTEEN

“Damn-it, pixie, you are dripping for me.” He breathed heavily as he licked his fingers in front of her. The action made her even wetter and aroused to the point of pain. “You taste so good.”

As he talked to her, Noelle felt the invasion of the thick mushroom head of his erection. She stiffened. She didn’t know what to expect—better yet, she didn’t expect him to fit!

“Relax for me, sweetness.” He braced her face so that she had nowhere else to look other than into his eyes.

They were molten silver and stormy with raw emotions. He was fighting within himself to make sure he didn’t lose control with her. Noelle touched his face lightly, feeling the roughness of his unshaved chin. With all that happened in the past few days, she couldn’t blame him if shaving was not a priority. He pushed deeper and the tightness brought tears stinging at the back of her eyes. Her body trembled as she struggled to accommodate him.

The stiffness of her body was instinctive. She couldn’t help it that her muscles tightened.

Tyran hissed and cursed out softly as her core muscles snapped tightly around him. She tried, she really did but she couldn’t get herself relaxed at all...not until Tyran took it to himself to help her.

His hand slipped between them and his fingers found the bud of nerves in the folds of her sex. He teased it, rubbed it and pinched it giving her something else to think about. Stars burst behind Noelle’s eyelids as a wave of pleasure swept over her. She moaned loudly as Tyran continued his assault on her clit while he inched deeper into her and then...he stopped abruptly and looked down at her. Her vision was blurry, almost like a dream as she looked at him.

“Forgive me, baby.” He whispered to her, regret written across his face.

“Why are you--” The deep sure stroke from Tyran sent a mind-numbing pain through Noelle’s legs. She yelped and stiffen against him blinking away the tears that were already spilling out from the corners of her eyes. She didn’t want him to see her cry so she held on to him as he thrust faster and hard inside her.

The pain gave way to an unfamiliar heat pooling inside her core. It traveled down to her toes and up her spin to her breasts and fingers. The heat increased as Tyran thrust faster and faster. His hands grabbed onto her hips to hold her down as he stroked deeper and deeper.

The heat inside Noelle knotted and increased. Her soft whimpers were accompanied by his steady growing growls. Noelle’s eyes fluttered closed as she savored at the joining of their bodies. She was surprised he was able to fit inside her. He felt insanely good and she was about to come--

Noelle’s entire body quaked like never before. It was the most violent climax she had experienced and it had her tumbling blindly from one orgasm to another. It seemed to take hours as she soared into the skies in pure bliss. Tyran joined her several moments later his climax as bone crushing as hers and it sent her to another frenzied orgasm.

Their ragged breaths were the only thing that could be heard in the aftermath. Tyran rolled off Noelle and gathered her close. He placed a kiss in her damp hair and whispered in a gruff voice.

“Forgive me for not being gentle.”

Noelle snuggled closer and sighed softly, breathing in the scent of him; wild, spicy and masculine. She felt drowsy and content. She was not going to let Tyran spoil that with his self-loathing and his concerns. “That was intense.”

“I’ll tone it down in the future--”

“Don’t you dare!” She snapped her eyes opened and looked up at him. “That’s the only thing I have with you apart from duty and you’re not going to take it away.”

The room went silence for the longest time as Noelle sank back to that warm spot on his chest. It was the truth. This was the only thing that was keeping them from loathing each other. Without the fire they had in bed, there was nothing else other than duty and honor. Noelle blinked away the tears that threatened to come out. She didn’t want to think of what would happen if the fire died between the two of them in the future.

She desperately needed this work if she was going to rely on this male to find her father and to keep her safe. She was the female of the Lord Mage for crying out loud. Every other female in the Realm would hate and envy her for such a status. It would have been great if she stepped out with him and they saw how much in love they were but it was not possible. She was afraid to be in his presence in front of others because though she tried to keep their arguments tightly behind closed doors, she knew people saw everything and it was only a matter of time before word started circulating about their loveless union—a union not yet blessed by the Priestess.

She did run away from him one time. She knew people were curious at why she was back and if she was back to stay. Tyran acted like none of that bothered him but Noelle knew it did. He became defensive when someone questioned her and it was the telltale she needed to know that he too felt the pressure.

So, where did that leave them? Two strangers having nothing in common other than the lusty, feverish and mind-blowing sex behind closed doors.

Noelle swallowed back a lump on her throat and closed her eyes to stop the tears from seeping out of her eyes. She was not going to cry in front of Tyran anymore. She was stronger now.

The loud knock on the door shook away the creeping sleep Noelle was trying hard to fight. She didn’t know for how long they were laying there but by the look of the bright sun outside, it seemed midday.

“Yes?” Tyran barked as he slipped from under her and approached the door.

Noelle couldn’t help but appreciate the male’s body. He had the tightest and sexiest ass she had ever seen. She wanted to look away but her body flashed again and heat pooled between her legs.

“Drake, my king.” The voice on the other side stated. “The first royals and their guards have arrived and—and we have more bad news, my king.”

Tyran let out a string of foul curses that would have had Noelle’s ears bleed if she wasn’t used to them.

“Five minutes.” He turned and padded to the bathroom.

She cuddled back into the warm bed and heard water splash, the toilet flush before Tyran came out with a towel in his hands drying his face and his steel-hard and pulsing erection. As he got himself a clean new outfit, Noelle cleared her throat. “Should I come with you?”

It was as though he just realized that he was not alone in the room. “I’ll handle this. You rest a bit. I’ll have one of the helpers get you something to eat.”

“I can handle criticism from the royals about where my loyalty lies if that’s what you are afraid of. I will never betray you.” She sat up.

Tyran turned to her and frowned. “Look what I did to you.” disgust dripped in his words as he traced the bruises around various parts of her body.

“It doesn’t matter. I’ll cover them.” She pushed the sheets aside and was about to climb out of the bed when Tyran’s body stopped her.

“I don’t want you down there. You’ll stay here until I find it fit for you to join me.” Tyran stated in his authoritative voice.

Noelle’s eyes sparked. “You will not command me to do anything I don’t want.”

“I will because I’m your king.” Tyran passed his palm against her skin and heat seeped out against the bruises.

By the time he was done, all the bruises had disappeared and Noelle felt as if she was high on a drug. She collapsed on the bed and turned to Tyran. “I hate you...” she managed to say before she drifted into a blissful sleep.

Several Hours Later...

Noelle woke up to the clanging of what sounded like swords just outside her window. The late afternoon sun beamed into the room and caressed the shadows in the corners away. She frowned as she sat up and felt the tenderness just under her stomach. Memories flooded into her head as she remembered what happened between her and Tyran. Parts of her body ached deliciously and she even had the decency to blush.

The Lord Mage was skilled at getting her all hot and needy. Just thinking about what happened between them and her body was aching for his again.

He sedated her though and she wasn’t happy about that but neither did she want to saunter in front of the royals and embarrass him. She didn’t want the outside world to know what happened between them because she wanted them to respect and fear him the same way they always have even when she wasn’t around.

Noelle swung her legs over the large bed and noticed her tattered royal garment on the floor. She sighed and walked over it, pulling the sheets tightly around her and opened the doors to the balcony. The clanging was definitely swords and Lady Lyrah was in the middle of the battle.

Noelle’s eyes bulged as she watched the young fragile female in front of her wield a sword like a second appendage! She was elegant in her moves, her steps precise and her hand movements almost fragile but deadly. Her face was serene and Noelle couldn’t believe that this was the same female who was on her death-bed a few days ago.

Noelle placed her hands on the balustrade and watched in awe as the warrior battling with her struggled to keep up. Lady Lyrah swung her sword very close to the warrior’s face but she didn’t dare touch him.

Her white hair flowed wild and free down her back to her bottom like a curtain of white silk. Her dark eyes were large and bright with happiness.

Noelle thought the deadly dance would go on forever until Lady Lyrah finally dodged a blow from her opponent, held on to his hand firmly and hypnotically twirled around him until she was behind him with the deadly sword a breath away from his neck.

The warrior dropped his sword and raised his hands in defeat as the others cheered on and teased the young warrior for losing.

Suddenly, Lyrah’s eyes settled on Noelle’s and she gasped in surprise.

“Are you going to sit up there and watch or are you going to come down and learn something?” She asked, her eyes full of laughter.

Noelle really sucked at swords but she was a pretty good archer. “I’ll be right down.”

She rushed back inside and as she passed the bed, she noticed the evidence of her innocence. She didn’t want anyone seeing that so she pulled the sheets out and changed them then took the stained ones together with the tattered gown and stuffed them into the dustbin in the bathroom. She took a quick hot shower to relax her aching muscles and instead of wearing her royal gown, Noelle went for a tight fitting pair of jeans—not the same jeans as in the human world but the material is almost similar—and a beautiful green blouse. She found some comfortable boots and pulled them on then tamed her hair back in a braid before going out with her dustbin.

She made her way through the corridors and hallways until finally she arrived at the kitchen where everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to her in surprise.

“Can someone show me where the incinerator is?” She asked politely.

“My queen, you should not be in here.” an elderly female came forward. “I’ll take care of that for you.”

Noelle held onto the dustbin tightly and shook her head. “I don’t wish to disturb you with what you are doing. Just point me in the right direction and I’ll be okay.”

“But my queen--”

“The faster you show me, the faster I’ll leave the kitchen.” She smiled knowingly at the female.

The female hummed lightly and took Noelle to the back of the kitchen and down a narrow staircase. There were several rooms down there; laundries, stores and the incinerator.

Noelle shook the contents out into the large steel thingy and closed the door then pressed the red button and soon evidence of her innocence was engulfed in fire.

“Thank you.” She smiled warmly at the elderly female and followed her back up.

The sun felt wonderful on her skin when she went out. Warriors were sitting around the shaded benches and some around the pool. They were large and very intimidating. Some bore scars that told her of the battles they fought. When they turned to her, she was comforted by the fact that there was respect and warmth in their eyes.

She hesitated a moment when she didn’t see Lyrah and then she noticed the petite female chatting with a very big male a few meters from her. He had shaggy hair coming down to his neck and some tufts on his elbows and forearms. He had horns protruding from his head and hooves on his feet!

Lyrah turned to her and smiled as she waved. Immediately, the large male’s body shifted back to his humanoid form.

“I thought you wouldn’t come.” Lyrah’s eyes sparkled brightly as she approached her. She too was dressed in comfortable black pants, boots that reached just below her knees and a red sweater with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows.

Noelle shrugged her shoulders and placed her hands in her pockets. “And miss the chance to defeat you in your own game, I don’t think so...you look well, Lyrah.”

Lyrah grinned and it was as if the entire world stopped to look at her. “Thank you very much—you look well too yourself.” Her eyebrow arched up knowingly.

Noelle felt heat creep up her cheeks. She didn’t want all those males to figure out what the two females were talking about so she quickly changed the subject. “So, do I get to chose a weapon or is it strictly swords. If that is so then you must know beforehand that I suck at swords.”

Chuckles and whistles rang around while others clapped their hands to encourage her.

Lyrah smiled at the warriors hooting. “Don’t mind them. They are the new recruits and they lack discretion and discipline tremendously.”

One hooted again and another whistled.

“You can pick whatever weapon you are comfortable with. Just know I’ll not go easy on you like I did with Miles.” Lyrah assured Noelle.

Noelle couldn’t help but smile. Who would have thought that such a small female would pack so much dynamite? She turned to the various weapons on the table and ran her hands over them. There were barbed clubs, bats, axes, swords, daggers, guns and some of them she didn’t even know. One looked like a shimmering sharp disc while another looked like harmless metal balls. Finally she saw what she was looking for. Right at the end of the table was the biggest and most impressive bow she had ever seen. It was made from black crystal, like the one for the sword in their quarters. It glowed in the sun and Noelle could hear the low buzzing sound it emitted. She was always attuned to bows and each one held a song that if the archer didn’t hear then the bow wasn’t perfect for them.

This bow however was exactly what Noelle was looking for.

“That’s the replica of cursed royal Thyest bow a Mortal Lock created by the Heavens during a time of the great war. The bow was once in possession of a Jinn King. However it was said that the bow corrupted the king with its thirst for blood and the king dabbed it the bow cursed. He threw it into the ocean before he ended his own life. Some of the Jinns say you can still hear it hum in the ocean.” Lyrah explained. “The Thyest Bow arrows were energy, created when you pulled the invisible string and the traditional Jinn bows had arrows usually tipped with rune poison but these ones aren’t because they are for practice.”

Noelle ran her hand over the smooth crystal and smiled softly. “It’s a shame I don’t believe in myths.” She pulled up the weapon and tested the string. The bow hummed louder than ever. She grinned wickedly and turned to Lyrah. “Ready when you are.”

The warrior cheered on, even catching the attention of some helpers who were peeking from the large windows at the showdown.

“I must say, I’m rather impressed by the Realm of Spells.” The Fae noble sauntered across the lounge to the large window overlooking the gardens. “It’s not like how we hear about it from the stories.” He twirled the red liquid in his wine glass and his lips twitched. “Not barbaric at all.”

Tyran wanted to smash his fist at the Fae. Queen Alana couldn’t make it to the conference because of some pressing matters and so she sent the high members of the Fae Court to represent her; Florian and his mate, Luna.

“If you want to see barbaric then I suggest to take a trip to the Ghoul caves in the Realm of the Dark.” Tyran hissed softly.

Florian trembled visibly as his new mate took her position next to him and placed her small hand on his with a dreamy smile upon her face. Like Noelle, she was tall, elegant and flawless but where Noelle had mesmerizing coppery locks, Luna had raven hair. Her eyes were like large sea-green orbs to Noelle’s hazel ones and her nose and chin where proud where Noelle’s were stubborn—and unlike Noelle, she possessed a pair of glassy, iridescent wings that came up every time she looked at her mate. Florian too had a pair but his were gold and red. Florian was almost lanky. He had fair hair and dark curious and sometimes accusing eyes.

Tyran heard the rumors about when the Fae gained their wings but he failed to discover the truth. They were beautiful and mesmerizing to him and he wished that Noelle had a pair too.

“Don’t tease me with such suggestions, Lord Mage.” Florian narrowed his eyes at Tyran. “Such places should remain unmentioned.”

“You have a lovely fortress, Lord Mage.” Luna’s eyebrows went up lightly as she eyed him almost cautiously. “Rumors have reached our Realm that your young wife has returned. Will we get the honor to meet your queen?”

Someone behead me! Tyran thought silently then leveled his eyes with the young couple. “After what happened to my sister several days ago, I wish to be more cautious about the females under my roof.”

A clang of swords and an angry growl brought their attention towards the garden. Tyran got up from his chair and looked down to see what was happening. The last time he checked, practice for the new recruits was over an hour ago.

His blood ran cold when Lyrah and Noelle came to view.

“Well, I doubt the females under your roof have the same opinion as you do.” Florian taunted as his mouth twitched lightly.

Tyran’s heart stuttered as he watched the two females have a go at each other. They were both fast and elegant in their feet. They packed the same strength and agility. Noelle had a bow that she used as a shield. He was almost impressed at how fast she attacked Lyrah with the crystal arrows. Her face was in deep concentration and her accuracy terrifying but Tyran noticed how she tilted her arrows a mere breath to avoid wounding his sister. A female with that kind of technique was to be feared.

Lyrah had always been impressive when it came to wielding at sword. He was to blame because he first-handedly insisted that she knew some techniques so that she could at least defend herself in case she was attacked. It was a shame that she didn’t have that chance against pureblood Dragons. She too attacked like a pro. She sliced the arrows away from her and sent them arcing towards the trees behind her. A flock of birds took flight to get away from the danger. Her sword slashed around Noelle’s face with deadly accuracy that had Tyran’s body tighten with dread. These two females were going to take him to an early grave, he thought as cold sweat broke on his skin.

“They are so fast.” Luna gasped in awe as she clung on to her mate, her wings buzzing with excitement.

“I think we should go down there and introduce ourselves before they have the chance to finish each other off.” Florian teased lightly.

Tyran was very much ready to introduce his fist to the noble’s face but then he turned abruptly and stalked out. He didn’t want to show his urgency to his guests but neither did he want to arrive into the gardens too late. He thought Lyrah was still too ill to get out of bed let alone the fortress after she almost lost her life to dragons and he thought Noelle a still a bit sore after their encounter just hours before! This was some sort of rebellion from them, he thought. They were getting back at him for his refusal to listen to them. If they wanted his attention, fine! He was going to give it to them but after he made himself clear on the limits of their actions for attention.

Drake and the other three commanders came from the other side of the fortress after they too heard the crowd outside. Storm was still in bad shape.

The commanders had serious faces but Tyran noticed the amusement swimming in their eyes. Ruvin didn’t even hide his. He had a big grin on his face that irritated Tyran even more.

“I believe you have already met my commanders?” Tyran turned to Florian.

His face paled a bit as he nodded. “Yes, we’ve been acquainted.”

As if in cue, the four commanders smiled venomously at the couple and had them squirm further back behind Tyran.

Tyran raised his eyebrow at his commanders to behave but not after his mouth twitched and amusement touched his eyes. “What’s going on?”

“The royal females of the fortress are socializing.” Ruvin grinned.

“Come on.” Tyran walked out into the garden where warriors and helpers were cheering and hooting as if they were watching a live football match.

Tyran didn’t know what to make of it. He didn’t know whether he should be angry or laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

The crowd parted as they passed through. Everyone fell into silence as Tyran emerged in front of his warriors and helpers. The two females must have noticed the charging of power in the atmosphere because they too pushed away from each other and turned to the Lord Mage. Their eyes glittered with mischief as they rendered the final blow on each other that had Tyran’s heart stop for a moment.
