Both Laura and Marcus bowed their heads and could not say a word.

They all felt they had lost face. It was because of Maximilian's incapability that they could not refute these words.

Drew showed a winner's smile, then he did not continue to say something against Maximilian, but raised his glass to propose a toast and made the atmosphere active.

Because of Drew, there was a warm atmosphere shortly after in the banquet. The crowd was chatting and drinking, and many kept coming to express their congratulations to Hugo. After a while, Alfie and Tommy were a little drunk. They looked at each other, and then both stared at Maximilian and Victoria.

They two had an idea to pick a hole in Maximilian with the state of mind to have fun.

Alfie held his glass with a bottle of wine in his hand, and wobbled towards Maximilian. Tommy hurriedly followed him and wore a mocking smile on his face.

"You worthless wretch, you're so impolite that you don't propose a toast to your brothers, but wait for us to toast you."

"Victoria, your husband behaves poorly. Considering what he has done today, he should be punished to drink three bottles of wine at least. Ask him to hurry up and drink it up." Glancing at the two drunken man, Maximilian just ignored them.

Seeing Maximilian ignoring them, Alfie and Tommy were quite angry with the stimulus of wine.

"Damn it. We are so kind to you. How dare you ignore us? You are such a jerk. If you don't drink it up, you don't have to leave here today."

Alfie handed the bottle in his hand in front of Maximilian and glared at Maximilian, insisting on him drinking it up.

Tommy slapped Maximilian on the back of his head and shouted discontentedly, "Hurry up! Don't keep us waiting. Do you consider yourself as a big shot? You are just a loser."

"I can't drink." Maximilian said in a cold voice.

"Ah ha, are you really a man? Can't drink? You will be laughed at if it's known to others. All right, we'll teach you how to drink. Now open your mouth and I'll help you."

Tommy held out his hand to grab Maximilian's chin and wanted to open his mouth forcibly. Maximilian turned away to avoid his hand.

Pop! Tommy slapped the table heavily. Then he glared at Maximilian and shouted, "You wretch! Do you want to die? How dare you avoid it when I taught you how to drink? Just open your mouth and let me pour the bottle of wine into your mouth!"

Victoria could not stand it. She frowned and said, "That's enough! Can you stop making fun of him?"

"We just ask him to make amends for his impoliteness. Victoria, you are so kind to him. Is it because he's good in bed and serve you quite well?"

"How can it be? I guess he can just keep for three seconds. Maybe it's because Victoria, you have a special hobby, such as marrying a loser husband and cuckolding him. Is it exciting?"

Alfie and Tommy said harsher words. Victoria was so annoyed that her eyes became red and she glared at the two men.

There was also anger in Maximilian. He stared at them with chill, and he clenched his fists, ready to teach them a lesson.

Noticing Maximilian's eyes, Alfie was slightly afraid, but he forced himself to say, "You wretch, don't look at me like this. Do you think your eyes can kill someone?"

"You'd better behave yourself. This is not a place where you can get your way. You'd better propose a toast for us, or we'll teach you a lesson." Tommy also threatened.

Maximilian had lost his patience. When he was about to beat the two men, the Butler hurried into the Hall.

"Old Master, Master Thomas is here. Manager Thomas of Lasdun is here, and he gives a pair of gold and silver trees to congratulate your birthday."

There was a sudden silence in the noisy birthday banquet! After three seconds of silence, there was a more fervent discussion, as if the silence just now was because someone pressed a pause button. The crowd was shocked by the arrival of Thomas and they were talking with each other excitedly.

"Thomas is the top one in managing a catering industry in H City. He's so excellent."

"I heard that Master Thomas is one of the four masters in H City. He not only run a great business, but has a real knack."

"Many banquets for dignitaries and top tycoons are held in Lasdun because of Master Thomas. And many of them are able to negotiate a successful sale with the help of him."

"This is a great honor for Wright Family since a Mr. Lee gave deluxe gifts to celebrate Hugo birthday, and now Master Thomas comes here himself. Hugo can show off this banquet for quite a while."

Not only the crowd was surprised, but so were the Wright Family. Since there was little connection between them and Thomas, so they didn't expect Thomas would come here personally. Which one of you invites Thomas?" Hugo looked at his eldest son Carson and asked.

There was no possibility for a great man like Thomas to come here uninvited. Hugo was quite clear about his status and knew that Thomas did not have to curry favor with him on account of his present status. But Thomas was actually here. Hugo guesses it was a surprise for himself given by Carson and Drew. Since the gift given by Drew just now surprised him a lot.

Carson and others all shook their heads. Then Hugo fixed his eyes on Drew, "Drew, is it a surprise you give for me?"

"Nope, I haven't invited Master Thomas and there's a gap between Mr. Thomas and me." Drew said bitterly.

Hugo was quite puzzled, then he got up in a hurry to welcome Thomas. Since the distinguished guest was here, he must show his attention and welcome. Besides, it would be beneficial for their family to make friends with Thomas.

Carson, Gibson and Drew all went out to welcome Thomas, together with Hugo.

Before they arrived at the door, Thomas had walked into the atrium, then he said with smile, "I'm here to congratulate Hugo's birthday and wish you happiness and longevity."

"Thanks a lot, Master. Thomas. Please come in and sit at the main table." Hugo said warmly.

Thomas stood still and looked around.

Hugo said awkwardly, "Master Thomas, could you tell us the reason why you come here?"
