Dear ex-Wife please be mine again Chapter 173
Chapter 173
Christiana’s POV
The chaos in the warehouse was deafening, the shouts of the officers mingling with the heavy thud of boots against the concrete floor. My body felt like it was on the verge of collapse, trembling uncontrollably as I sat on the cold ground. I struggled to put my dress back on, my fingers clumsy and weak, barely managing to zip it up.
I didn’t hear his voice at first…too lost in the whirlwind of emotions and relief. But then I saw him. Alex.
He burst through the doors, his face filled with fury and desperation. His hair was disheveled, his eyes wide as they scanned the room until they landed on me.
“Christiana!” His voice cracked, raw and frantic. He didn’t hesitate, his long strides eating up the distance between us until he was by my side.
I couldn’t stop the sob that tore from my throat as he dropped to his knees, pulling me into his arms. His embrace was tight, protective, and I clung to him like a lifeline.
“It’s okay,” he whispered hoarsely, his hand cradling the back of my head. “I’m here now. You’re safe.”
But I wasn’t okay. The tears wouldn’t stop. My entire body was trembling as I buried my face in his chest, my sobs muffled against his shirt. The events of the past few hours overwhelmed me, crashing down on me all at once.
“I…he…” I tried to speak, but the words wouldn’t come.
“Shh,” Alex soothed, his voice steady despite the anger simmering beneath it. “You don’t have to say anything. Just breathe, Christiana.”
I felt his hand stroke my back, but even his touch couldn’t calm the storm inside me. My babies. I needed to see them.
“The kids,” I choked out, pulling back slightly. “Where are my babies?”
As if on cue, the officers began escorting the masked man out, his face was now revealed…a gaunt, cold expression that sent chills down my spine. He was cuffed, followed by two policemen, while another group brought out the children.
They were being carried gently, their small forms limp and unmoving. My heart stopped for a moment.
“Ethan, Emma!” I tried to run toward them, but my legs felt like jelly. Alex was at my side in an instant, supporting me as we moved closer.
One officer looked at me with a grave expression. “They’re alive, ma’am, but it appears they’ve been drugged. We’ll need to get them to a hospital immediately.”
I knelt beside my children, my hands trembling as I cupped their little faces. “Ethan… Emma… wake up, baby. Please, wake up.” My voice cracked as I gently shook them, tears streaming down my cheeks.
But there was no response. Their eyelids remained shut, their breathing shallow. Panic clawed at my chest, and I turned to Alex, my voice breaking. “They won’t wake up, Alex. Oh God, what did he do to them?”
Alex’s face darkened, his expression hardening into something terrifying. His jaw tightened, and his hands curled into fists at his sides. I had seen Alex angry before, but this… this was different.
Without a word, he stormed toward Daniel, who was being dragged out by two officers. Daniel smirked, even in cuffs, his arrogance unshaken.
“Alex!” I called out, but he didn’t stop.

Chapter 173
“You sick bastard!” Alexroared, his voice echoing through the warehouse,
Before anyone could intervene, Alex lunged at Daniel, his fist connecting with Daniel’s face in a brutal punch that sent him staggering back. Blood spurted from Daniel’s nose, and he let out a grunt of pain, but Alex wasn’t done.
“You drugged my kids?!” Alex shouted, his voice trembling with rage. “You think you can get away with this?”
The officers scrambled to restrain Alex, pulling him back, but he fought against them, his eyes blazing with fury.
“You’ll rot in hell for this, Daniel,” Alex spat, his voice dripping with venom.
Daniel chuckled darkly, blood dripping from his split lip. “You’re no better, Alex. You’ll never keep her. She’ll always…”
“Shut up!” Alex bellowed, his voice like thunder.
The officers managed to separate them, dragging Daniel toward the exit as Alex stood there, breathing heavily, his fists still clenched.
I watched the scene unfold, my heart pounding in my chest. Everything felt like a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from. I turned back to my children, brushing their hair away from their faces as tears continued to fall.
“We need to go,” Alex said suddenly, his voice softer now as he returned to me. He crouched beside me, his hand resting on my shoulder. “We’ll get them to the hospital. They’ll be okay, Christiana. I promise.”
But his voice, though steady, betrayed the fear I knew he felt.
The drive to the hospital was the longest, most unbearable ride of my life. I sat in the backseat with Alex beside me, his arm wrapped around my shoulders as if holding me together. But I was falling apart. My body wouldn’t stop shaking, and the tears kept coming, soaking through his shirt as I leaned into him, seeking warmth and comfort I couldn’t feel.
Alex’s jaw was tight, his face a mix of anger and worry. His other hand rested on my knee, gripping tightly as though anchoring himself to the moment. He hadn’t said much at first, just let me cry. But his silence was heavy, and I could see it was taking everything in him not to explode.
“I didn’t know what to do,” I choked out with a trembling voice.
Alex’s head turned sharply, his brows furrowing. “What are you talking about, Christiana? You did what you had to do for the kids.” His voice was firm, but there was a tremble beneath it, a crack in his controlled anger.
I shook my head, the images of Daniel’s cruel smirk and the way he spoke to me flashing through my mind. “He…he wanted…” My voice broke, and I covered my face with my hands, sobbing harder.
Alex pulled me closer, his lips pressing against my hair. “It’s okay You don’t have to say it. I know.”
“No, you don’t,” I cried, lifting my head to look at him. My chest heaved, and I could barely get the words out. “He said if I didn’t… give myself to him, he wouldn’t let the kids go. Alex, he turned into someone else. Someone I don’t recognize anymore.”
Alex’s eyes darkened, and his jaw clenched so hard I thought he might crack a tooth. He exhaled sharply, his nostrils flaring. “That bastard,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous. “I should’ve killed him when I had the chance. He’ll pay for this, Christiana. I swear to you.”
I wiped at my face, though it did nothing to stop the flow of tears. “I didn’t know if you’d make it in time. I thought… I thought I’d have to…”
“Don’t.” Alex’s voice cut through the air like a blade, his hand tightening on my knee. He turned to face me fully, his eyes blazing with emotion, “Don’t you dare finish that sentence. None of this is your fault. He’s the monster here, not you. Do

I nodded weakly, but the guilt wouldn’t leave me. It clung to my chest like a weight, making it hard to breathe. “I just wanted to see my babies. I didn’t care what I had to do, Alex. I was ready to give up everything for them.”
His expression softened slightly, though the anger in his eyes remained. He cupped my face, his thumbs brushing away my tears. “You don’t have to give up anything, Christiana. You have me now. We’ll get through this together.”
I tried to believe him, but the memory of Ethan and Emma lying so still, so lifeless, haunted me. “What if they don’t wake up?” I whispered, my voice trembling.
“They will,” Alex said firmly, his voice leaving no room for doubt But I could see the fear in his eyes, the same fear that clawed at my heart.
I leaned into him again, clutching his shirt as though it could ground me. “He said so many terrible things, Alex. About us. About you. He said I belong to him now because… because I gave my body to you.”
Alex froze, his entire body going rigid beside me. Then, slowly, he exhaled, his breath shaky and filled with barely contained rage. “He said that?”
I nodded, and Alex’s hand clenched into a fist on my knee. His knuckles turned white, and his jaw ticked as he stared straight ahead, his eyes narrowing.
“That sick son of a…” He cut himself off, taking a deep breath as though trying to calm himself. But it didn’t work. His voice was sharp and venomous when he spoke again. “He doesn’t own you. He never did. And I’ll make sure he never gets near you or the kids again.”
I could feel his anger radiating off him, a storm brewing just beneath the surface. It was terrifying and comforting all at once, knowing he was this furious for me and the kids.
Alex tilted his head down, pressing his forehead against mine. His eyes softened for a moment as he whispered, “It’s over, Christiana. You’re safe now. I’m just glad I came when I did.”
I nodded again, though my tears continued to fall. “Thank you,” I whispered.
“Don’t thank me,” Alex said, his voice thick with emotion. “This never should’ve happened in the first place. I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure no one hurts you or the kids again.”
The car jolted slightly as we turned into the hospital parking lot, and Alex sat back, his hand still gripping mine tightly. His

As the car came to a stop, Alex turned to me, his expression fierce. “We’re going to fix this, Christiana. Whatever it takes, we’ll make it right.”
I wanted to believe him, but the fear and guilt still lingered. All I could do was nod and hope he was right.
