Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me

Chapter 78 An Illusion

Harriet breathed a sigh of relief when Wesley left.

Harriet squatted down and touched its fluffy head, who was eating its food on the balcony.

"Wesley, you're so hard to beat."

The little cat looked up at her. The cat's eyes were clear and moist, which were different from Wesley's cold and clear eyes.

"Well, when you were sick of me, I wouldn't have believed you had time to talk to me when you were really married."

Harriet was so obedient now and she tried to coax Wesley. She was waiting for him being tired of herself one day.

When Harriet came to the show early again, she found someone in the dressing room was sobbing with her head down, while another actor playing the supporting role of Number F soothed her. Harriet went closer to find that the person was Cherry.

Harriet did not want to meddle in something, but Cherry looked up to see her. When thinking that Harriet did not like her, she turned to look down again.

"Forget it, Cherry. Why do you take it out on her behalf when she looks so haughty? It's not worth it." The F actress said to Cherry.

Now that she was mentioned, Harriet had to hear their talking.

"Don't say that...I believe Harriet is not that kind of person, and they are the ones who talk too much. What's more, we are the same cast, even if you hear, you will refute." Cherry spoke to the actor.

Then the F actress sighed, "I'm not going to argue with them. You're the only one who thinks she didn't do anything. What if she was the one who set your sister up?"

Cherry frowned and then shook her head, "No, although Harriet and my sister are at odds, But I believe that she will not do anything harmful to my sister."

"You're just so innocent. Some people look innocent on the surface. You don't know how dirty they are."

Then, Harriet turned around finally.

"It's better to say something directly to me. Be careful not to bite your tongue when talking about people behind."

Cherry's face flushed, "I do not mean to talk about you, so please don't be angry..."

Then the F actress said, "Cherry, What are you afraid of? You are wronged because of her."

Then, She stared at Harriet.

"How can you treat Cherry like that? She is wronged because of you."

It turned out that during the break, some other cast members came to say hello and accidentally mentioned Harriet with a disdainful expression. They even satirized her with those words from the media, saying that she was the culprit who had caused Irene's death, and that she was dating with lots of men.

Cherry went to argue with them and was called a traitor by her family. She was so angry that she burst into tears.

Then, Harriet felt surprised when hearing the whole things. If Cherry was pretending to be a good person, there's no need to defend her in her absence.

"Who said that?" Harriet, though not too particular, would not tolerate being targeted in this way.

Then, the F actress said, "Camille and some foxes."

Of course, Harriet knew her name. And Even a child could call out the names of the shows in which she acted. Thus, she was really famous. What's more, she was not only the flow of a sister, but also took a very important award, which was the best actress award of Golden Dragon Award. "Oh..." Harriet fell into deep thought.

Harriet had little interaction with her, and never offended her. But why would she do that?

"Well. Do you have nothing to say? It seems that you dare not to find Camille to explain." The F actress said, with rolling her eyes.

Of course, Harriet hesitated. It might cause trouble if she argued with Camille. What's more, she had to make clear what Camille wanted to do.

After several scenes, Harriet did a good job. But she was a little tired, so the directing team called off the show early.

As soon as she walked out of the studio, she heard fans shouting, "Harriet! Harriet!"

Harriet was used to this. These days there were always fans coming here. And she was not the only person who was waited by fans. Besides, she was fond of her fans, so she immediately waved to the crowd. "Thanks, everybody."

It was such a brief and polite sentence that drew cheers from the fans.

At this time, Molly said, "Harriet, a fan wants to send you a gift, we want to accept but she refuses. She wants to give you personally."

The little assistant knew that Harriet was a fan lover, so she would give her some details and let her make up her mind.

"Then I will try to persuade her."

Harriet didn't think much about it. She had encountered such stubborn fans before and said something inspiring to them.

Then they went to meet that fan, and Harriet said, "Thank you for the gift. I would much rather you watched more of my TV, followed my films. And you should not spend money on..."

As she was speaking, the fan rushed up, spewing something at her, yelling at her!

"Go to hell!"

Harriet had to tilt her head to avoid damaging important parts of her body, but after a moment of panic, she emerged unscathed.

It wasn't Harriet who screamed but Cherry who suddenly rushed to protect her!

Harriet was shocked. She had no idea why Cherry would do that for her!

"Help! Help!" Cherry put her hands over her eyes and cried out in pain. Harriet was seized by her heart and hastily shouted, "Call first aid! How are you, Cherry? Did you hurt your eye?"

The fan, who had been caught by the guards, screamed, "Bitch, you'll get what you deserve! You must die! Give me back Irene! Give me back Irene!"

Harriet ignored the fan's rampage and tried to check on Cherry. But unluckily, she was dragged by someone and heard a familiar male voice.

"Harriet!"

She was surprised to find that it was Wesley.

"How are you?" Wesley looked worried. But when he found Harriet was fine, his worry disappeared soon

"I'm fine, but it hurt Cherry!" Harriet was in no mood to wonder if the fleeting concern in the Wesley's eyes was real, and said in a hurry.

Soon, the crew took Cherry to the emergency room of the hospital.

After diagnosis and treatment and investigation, it was found that the unknown liquid sprayed on the bottle was chili water. Fortunately, the concentration was not too high. Although it was uncomfortable when sprayed on the face, there was no real harm.

Harriet let her hair down. If anything really happened to Cherry, she did not know how to make it up to her.

In the ward, Cherry's eyes had been cleaned and treated, but she still kept her eyes closed with drops.

"Harriet, are you all right?" Hearing Harriet's greeting, Cherry opened her mouth with concern.

Harriet had a mixed mood.

If she and Irene were enemies, what was the relationship with her sister now? Because of what Cherry did for her, she could not discriminate against Cherry any more.

"I'm fine. Cherry, why did you protect me?"

Cherry lowered her eyes, "I didn't think much about it, I just didn't want you to get hurt. Although you hate me, I always look up to you as an example and regard you as one of my friend..."

Harriet sighed silently, "You do not need to do that. What if the person today used something worse instead of pepper water? Do you know what would happen?"

Cherry bite her lips, "I...I did not think so much... And I am fine now, right? So take it easy."

"Anyway, thank you." Harriet said thankfully.

At this time, Wesley said lowly, "Now that you've said your thanks, let's go."
