Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me

Chapter 70 Looking Forward To be Mrs. Smith

Harriet realized that she had made some trouble.

Pursuing Wesley? It sounded funny, but what's even weirder was that he was actually interested.

It was such a miserable first day in New Zealand, but thankfully Wesley didn't bother her that night, so she could take a good rest.

The nest day, Harriet woke up, and found that Wesley, instead of getting up early as usual, had his eyes closed and seemed to be sleeping.

Observing his long, warped, bushy lashes, Harriet mysteriously reached out her hand.

But just as she was about to touch his lashes, Wesley suddenly opened his eyes, and for a moment it was awkward.

"Your eyelashes are so long, can you tell me which kind of mascara you use?"

Harriet suddenly came to her senses and was no longer sleepy in the morning.

"Oh, I mean, you're so handsome, even your eyelashes are so beautiful."

Wesley rarely neglected her wrong expression and got up to get dressed, "Have you decided on your plan for the day?"

Harriet suddenly grasped what he meant. With her eyebrows twitching, she had to get up to dress.

She's been with Wesley for these two years, so she knew his lifestyle. Pursuing him was like to please him, which was so easy for Harriet.

Then, Harriet leaned forward and winked at him, "Let me help you tie."

Wesley did not say no. And when Harriet was tying for him, he smelt the perfume on her hands.

"Would you like me to make you breakfast? Or do you prefer the breakfast prepared by the hotel?"

"Of course, I prefer the breakfast made by you."

Harriet smiled, "Well, I wonder what you would like to eat today?"

"Up to you."

Such a mode of communication made Harriet think of the days when they were at peace, "Wesley, do you think we are like a honeymoon couple?" She said wryly. Then, she felt painful on her lip.

"Oh, Wesley, you..." Harriet wanted to say that sentence "Are you born in the year of dog?", but finally she gave up.

Harriet thought that It's not worth getting angry about.

Wesley let go of her, squinting slightly with a playful look, "You want to be Mrs. Smith?"

Harriet's heart skipped quickly, and said, "Mr. Smith, I'm not so silly. I was just making a harmless joke."

Wesley snorted coldly, "You should know that."

Harriet had been used to such ironies for a long time. With a grin on her face, she straightened the man's tie and went to work in the kitchen.

Her value in keeping Wesley around was serving him, just acting like a canary serving his patron.

During staying in New Zealand, Harriet did her best to please Wesley, preparing him delicious meals, helping him with personal chores, and even researching New Zealand resorts and acting as a conscientious tour guide.

Wesley was easy to get along with these days. He didn't drag her to bed if he felt unhappy, and he did not mind Harriet's "pursuing", because he's busy in dealing with his business. Today was his last day in New Zealand. When Wesley has finished his official duties, he would come back tomorrow.

"Mr. Smith, this is the tour plan for the afternoon. Would you like to have a look? Has your work time been delayed?" Harriet pulled out a schedule like a senior secretary.

Wesley just glanced at the plan and said, "Well."

Wesley was so kind today.

Harriet smiled, "Then that's it."

Then, she suddenly showed a bouquet of red roses to Wesley.

"To you..."

The coquetry voice was so provocative that Wesley glanced up at the bouquet, but felt her smile brighter than the roses. He took it and raised his eyebrows. "Is that what you call pursuing me?"

Harriet blinked confidently, "I think it's all right. But you don't like girls like me very much, so no matter how I pursue you, you would not feel like falling for me."

He liked the little girl like Louisa who seemed as simple as possible. But for Harriet, she would never be like a innocent college girl any more.

Wesley bent his thin lip nonchalantly and placed the rose on a transparent vase beside it. His nonchalant manner made Harriet curl her lip without saying anything.

Then, in the evening, Harriet waited for Wesley in his overseas company.

Harriet dressed up in all her usual stardom, and she stood out in front of the big company like an Oriental woman with different hair and skin colors. People around the gate of the company all looked at her.

"Mr. Smith..."

At the first sight of Wesley and the bosses coming out, Harriet immediately stepped forward to meet them.

She was already pretty, but tonight she looked more beautiful after better dressed. Several foreigners kept staring at her.

"Who is this beautiful lady?" An elite dressed man smiled and asked first.

At the sight of Harriet's radiant expression, Wesley frowned.

"Nice to meet you, I'm a friend of Mr. Smith." Harriet smiled tactfully and shook hands with them.

One of them laughed and said, "Wesley, you have such a beautiful female friend, why don't you take her out to dinner with us?"

Wesley looked a little pale, "Next time."

Hearing Wesley's apparently perfunctory answer, they did not say anything longer and just said goodbye. However, only one tall woman seemed not want to leave. Harriet looked at her curiously.

The woman, wearing a suit, had big wave of wine red hair. And her body was also very sexy. She kept looking at Harriet.

"Wesley, how could you do that?" Then she turned to look at Wesley and said, "You get together with such beautiful lady, what if Louisa knows that?"

Harriet was particularly surprised, not only by her fluent Mandarin but also by her calling his name Wesley.

Apart from Louisa, she had never heard a woman call him by his name, and he had no objection.

"It will be better if she can mind her own business." Wesley did not look well, probably because of thinking of what had happened at that birthday party. Then the woman smiled, looking charming and gorgeous, "Well, I am just joking. You just go back to your country and I will deal with the things here."

Hearing their such communication, Harriet was in shock. She had been with Wesley for two years and it was the first time she had ever known about this woman.

The most important thing was that she obviously had a special relationship with Wesley, or she would not ask Wesley to let her deal with the business here. Thus, it could be found that their cooperation and loyalty were different.

"You can do whatever you want, based on the last few plans." Wesley said.

The woman obediently nodded, "Get it. In a few months, I'll give you a big surprise!”‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒☐☐☐☐☐
