Cupid's Arrow hit me hard!

Chapter 2721

The other guests realized that Kevin and Hayden were Liberty's supporters.

They had not heard of Liberty's outstanding capabilities, but the wealthy families behind her were enough. Her sister was the York family's missus, who had more than enough to invest in Liberty. As long as Liberty had courage and business acumen, she did not have to worry about money.

Some competent individuals within the Fisher family, who were subjected to oppression by Belinda, began formulating ideas in their heads.

Liberty smiled and said, "I'm interested in any profitable projects. Do you have time tomorrow, Mr. Queen? I can visit you."

Hayden said, "You can come over anytime."

Kevin said, "Hayden, I'll get jealous if you're so nice to Liberty. You've always said you're busy and ignored me whenever I went over. On the contrary, you're available anytime for Liberty." That earned him a side-eye from Hayden. "Liberty and I have good chemistry."

Caroline smiled. "I think Liberty and I get along too. May I also pay a visit if it's convenient for you, Mr. Queen?"

"I can make some time for you, Ms. Caroline. However, I don't think I'd have time to spare for other people."

Hayden could only tolerate Caroline among all the Fisher family members. She admired Caroline and had wanted to bring her and Hugh together. Unfortunately, Hugh did not fancy Caroline.

His excuse was that he refused to be the Fisher family's live-in son-in-law, but his true reason was he had no feelings for her.

It would take two to tango after all. It was true that feelings could develop over time, but not everyone could do so.

Caroline grinned. "I have a project that I'm confident about as well. You may learn more about it if you're interested, Mr. Queen."

"Okay."

Hayden agreed to the idea.

Learning more about the project did not mean they had to work together.

Though she would not collaborate with Fisher Enterprise, she could work with Caroline. The company Caroline had established before her return to the Fishers had great prospects. Belinda's expression relaxed slightly upon seeing Hayden treating Caroline well.

The dinner was a rather peaceful event.

After the meal, Hayden was ready to leave and Kevin naturally followed suit. Liberty thus announced her departure and was ready to leave with the two of them.

After failing to persuade them to stay, Belinda had no choice but to see them off with her family. At that moment, she suddenly thought of Celine. She asked Emma, "Where's Cece?" "Cece? Oh, she hasn't come down after you told her to send dinner to Dad. I haven't seen her since she went upstairs."

Belinda frowned. She told Emma, "Go upstairs and get Cece to come down."

What was Celine doing? Mr. Queen was already leaving. Was she still upstairs having her meal with that useless man? Emma heeded Belinda's orders and went up to look for Celine.

Not long after, her scream was heard.

She rushed down the flight of stairs and right at the last few steps, she lost her footing and fell.

Luckily, she was almost downstairs with only a few steps left, and she remained unscathed.

She looked absolutely horrified.

"What's wrong, Emma? Why did you scream?"
