Cupid's Arrow hit me hard!

Chapter 2718

Upon hearing this, Belinda first frowned, then set down her cutleries, stood up, and said to her children, "Mr. Queen is here. Follow me to greet him."

It was not surprising for Belinda that Kevin had arrived.

Liberty was associated with the Yorks and Stones.

Although Kevin the third young master of the Yorks was intimidating, the influence of the York family in Jensburg was not as strong as the Queen family, which made Belinda more concerned about the Queen family.

Hayden's uninvited arrival was likely at the behest of Kevin to support Liberty, hinting at the Fishers that Liberty was not without influential support, and that was the Queen family.

Upon hearing that Hayden had arrived, Celine felt quite nervous. She hurriedly glanced at the clothes she was wearing tonight. Knowing that her mother only invited Liberty over, she did not deliberately change into an evening gown, just wearing casual clothes.

Should she go upstairs now to change into a formal dress?

Maybe it was too late.

Fortunately, her casual attire was also trendy and novel, portraying her as elegant and refined.

Moreover, she was young, beautiful, and had a good figure.

Even without wearing an evening gown, she could outshine the others.

Confident in herself, Celine cast a glance at Caroline. She then stood up, following Belinda closely so that Mr. Queen would see her at first sight. Liberty did not follow them outside.

She was not the host of the Fisher family yet, so she did not need to attend to the guests.

Observing the imposter Celine seizing Caroline's place, Liberty's eyes flickered. She had heard that Celine liked Hayden quite dearly.

Hayden, however, showed courtesy and warmth to Caroline, the true heiress while ignoring Celine, the fake one, which left Celine infuriated.

Internally mocking Celine, Liberty anticipated that when Hayden's true identity as a woman was revealed, Celine would probably be dumbfounded and her heart would shatter.

After Belinda led her children and daughters-in-law out, the other members of the Fisher family took the opportunity to gather around Liberty, exchanging pleasantries to become familiar.

Although it was difficult for them to rise in status, each one was astute enough to understand Liberty's purpose for being there.

Caroline, although the biological daughter of the current matriarch, was raised in the countryside due to a mistake made by the previous butler. She returned to the Fisher family only two years ago, and despite Belinda's efforts to support her, the results were not obvious.

In Fisher Enterprise, Caroline was scolded almost every day by her own mother. She was criticized for being a country bumpkin with no knowledge and was accused of being unable to accomplish anything without relying on others.

It was only when the matriarch arranged for Mr. Fletcher to assist Caroline that her performance in handling matters became somewhat satisfactory to the matriarch.

However, this was attributed to Mr. Fletcher's help and was solely because of Caroline's own abilities.

Liberty was polite and gentle with the Fishers, making everyone feel that she was easy to get along with, but she was by no means submissive.

When Liberty and Belinda argued, everyone noticed.

She did not give any face to Belinda, and everyone could see that.

The Fishers felt that Liberty was truly worthy of being the successor, much more so than Caroline.

After a while, Belinda and the others welcomed Kevin and Hayden.

As guests, they were treated like royalty.

Hayden naturally sat between Liberty and Caroline so that she could chat with both of them.

Celine had no chance of getting close to Hayden, especially with Kevin present.

After the pleasantries, Belinda once again invited everyone to dine.

Up until now, Hayden never drank or ate at banquets, but tonight was an exception. This made Belinda very happy, feeling that Hayden was giving her face.

While everyone was chatting happily, Caroline suddenly said, "Mom, Dad is resting in the room and did not come downstairs for the meal. Let Cece take some food for him to avoid him going hungry." Belinda remained composed and said to Celine, "Cece, take some food and drink to your father, let him eat before resting. If he's in good spirits, ask him to come downstairs and greet the honored guests."
