Cupid's Arrow hit me hard!

Chapter 2682

"That's great. I'm outside your house now. I see your butler coming to open the gate. Let's talk when we meet."

After speaking, Ben hung up.

Zachary was puzzled.

He lowered his head to look at Sonny, who was looking at him too.

"What's wrong, Uncle Zak? Did something happen?" Sonny asked.

Zachary patted his head and said, "Someone woke up early like you and came to visit."

He did not know what was going on either.

Had something gone wrong with Remy and Elisa's relationship? Did Ben come over to get him to persuade the couple?

He could not do that. Serenity was more suited for the job.

Soon, Ben drove Remy's car into the villa and stopped at the courtyard.

Before Ben got out of the car, the backseat door opened first. A flash of a small figure darting out of the car toward Zachary. "Sonny, Sonny. I'm here."

The small figure was none other than Laurence.

"Laurence!"

When Sonny registered it, he immediately flung Zachary's hand away and jogged toward Laurence.

The two boys gave each other a tight hug.

They had not met for some time since summer. Both of them had grown taller.

Laurence was half a head taller and more muscular than Sonny. It was probably because he spent most of his time training.

Zachary knew that Laurence's skills had improved again from his little stunt of jumping out of the car. Even if Sonny tripled, it would not be enough to beat him.

Laurence truly had a talent for martial arts.

"Why are you here, Laurence?"

Sonny was happy to see his friend.

Laurence replied, "I'm here to visit Mommy Jane and Dr. Carden. I have a week's holiday. I tagged along because Uncle Ben has something to do here. I can play with you for two days before returning." Laurence held up two fingers to tell Sonny he would stay in Wiltspoon for two days.

Sonny said, "I'm on holiday too, but I'll have to go to school tomorrow."

Laurence said, "You can call in absent. I did the same, so you should too. Just be absent tomorrow and play with me."

The adults were speechless.

Sonny turned to look at Zachary, who walked over and smiled. "Don't look at me. Ask your aunt when she wakes up."

When Sonny was in preschool, he mainly played with other children. The teachers usually taught some reading and writing, but letting him take a day off to accompany a friend who came from far away was fine.

"I'll tell Aunt Ser when she wakes up then."

Ben got out of the car and walked over.

Zachary greeted him and asked, "Did you bring Laurence here yourself?"

"Yeah. Jane has to take care of the twins. They're getting smarter. They start crying whenever they see her head out, so we have no choice but to bring them along."

Zachary smiled. "It'll be harder to leave them alone when they grow up and be on their two little feet."

Ben laughed. "You're right. Chloe is easy to handle, but Connor loves a good fuss. A daughter is certainly less worrying."

"You were lucky to have such a good daughter. Other people's daughters may be fussy too."

"Are you heading out for a run?" Ben asked when he noticed Zachary was in his sportswear. Then, he said apologetically, "Laurence said he wanted to look for Sonny today once we arrived in Wiltspoon last night. He got up when it was still early and pestered me to drive him over.

"He said something about Sonny having many activities every day and that he wouldn't be around if we were late. It would've been a wasted trip. I couldn't stand his pestering anymore and brought him here."
