Hunter was dressed up youthfully and appeared dashing. Looking at the hot young woman in his arms, Caroline muttered, "He must've been a heartthrob when he was young. Despite his age, he still looked handsome after dressing up."

Zachary had accompanied her back to the room. When he saw her eagerly climbing onto the bed, he sat on the bedside and said, "You could've slept in the car and I could've carried you up."

"I stayed awake anyway. I'll take a short nap, honey. Do you want to take a nap? Otherwise, you can read some books in the study."

With a gentle gaze, Zachary said, "Go ahead. I'm not tired yet."

She fell asleep instantly.

Looking at her sleeping soundly, Zachary left a kiss on her forehead and caressed her face. Then, his hand traveled to her still-flat abdomen and he whispered, "Thank you, Seren."

After sitting there momentarily, Zachary stood and walked to the study. He sat before the desk, which had a book on it. It was a book on pregnancy. He had been reading it repeatedly to memorize its contents.

He was clueless about pregnancy before Serenity got pregnant. Once she was, he wanted to care for her personally despite having many people around who could do the same.

Therefore, he went to the bookstore and bought many books about this subject. He even went to compare the books he bought with the ones Josh had read before bringing them home.

During his honeymoon, he focused on accompanying Serenity and reading books in his free time. Company matters were at the lowest of his priorities.

Flipping the book open, Zachary read it from the start again. He found the chapter corresponding to Serenity's pregnancy stage and started reading. According to the book, the baby in Serenity's belly was not fully formed yet. It could only be considered a fetus at the twelfth week.

The family doctor reminded Zachary that he could take Serenity to the hospital for a checkup soon to rule out certain complications.

Just then, Zachary received messages.

Kevin had sent him a few pictures and a video.

Zachary did not recognize the person in them. He frowned.

Kevin would not send him such things out of the blue.

When he was about to call Kevin, Kevin beat him to it. Zachary accepted the call.
