Cupid's Arrow hit me hard!

Chapter 2562

Callum believed in his own judgment, and he trusted his nana. After spending so much time with Camryn, he knew her character and her way of doing things inside out.

"Once we get the marriage license, it's for a lifetime, there's no divorce, you know? You need to think it over carefully. A great man like you might meet someone better than me in the future, someone more suitable. When that happens, you might tell me that you only married me because your nana chose me, but the woman you meet later is your true love. I won't allow it."

Callum playfully tapped her cute nose and said, "Haven't you heard how people outside talk about us York men? We're all devoted lovers. The family rule is that once you marry, you should be loyal to your family and your marriage for a lifetime-no affairs, no divorces!

"If you violate this rule, you'll be expelled and have nothing to do with the York family.

"Also, I'm marrying you not because my nana chose you, but because I love you. If I don't truly love you, not even my nana can convince me to marry you."

Callum took out his phone to make a call.

"Who are you calling?" Camryn asked as she thought he was going to call his nana.

"I didn't bring my household register with me, and we need it to register for our marriage. I'm calling my mom to have her bring it over. We should get to City Hall before they close for lunch to complete the procedure."

Once they had their marriage license, they would be a legally bound couple.

Callum dared not let Camryn know just how eager he was to marry her and make her his legitimate wife.

Initially, it was she who said that she wanted to cure her eyes and be able to see him before getting married.

He had been waiting all along, waiting for the day when she would regain her sight.

Until today, her vision still had not fully recovered, but she was now able to see things directly in front of her. He was thinking about how to bring up the topic of registering their marriage. Little did he know, she suggested it herself.

This was what they called the chemistry between lovers. He was only thinking about getting their marriage license, and she brought it up.

Camryn smiled and said, "We can do it this afternoon or tomorrow, no rush."

"You're not in a hurry, but I am. I'm very eager. I want a wife to accompany me through the long nights. I don't want to spend them hugging a pillow every night," said Callum. Camryn was speechless for a moment.

Her face blushed rapidly.

Getting the marriage license meant they would be legally tying the knot, and then they would have to start planning their wedding. Most importantly, she would have to fulfill her duties as a wife. Even though they were engaged, they had not gone beyond hugging and kissing.

Aunt Evelyn told Camryn that Callum truly loved her and sincerely respected her. He would not cross any boundaries until they had their marriage license. Aunt Evelyn was always reminding her to treat Callum well.

Aunt Evelyn criticized her for not being enthusiastic enough and always acting so cold.

Now, Camryn could empathize with Serenity when she complained about Liberty's behavior, always reminding her to treat Zachary better as if she often bullied him or was not nice to him.

Sometimes when they had small arguments, Zachary would run to Liberty's house to grumble, and Serenity would secretly vent her frustrations to Liberty as well, saying never had she seen a man who complained to his in-laws so frequently.

She said that Zachary was leaving her up a creek with no paddle.

Back then, Camryn had laughed at Serenity, but now her aunt was doing the same thing to her.

Having laughed at Serenity too unabashedly previously, it seemed that she would now become an object of envy just like Serenity.
